The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2538 A new Master of Chaos? (II)
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Cain's eyes went wide when he witnessed Deniel manifesting that lone plasma wing.
These wings closely resembled his own Chaos Wings—manifestations that pulled power straight from the Universe Matrix. That fact alone stunned him, yet the event that followed completely demolished his preconceptions.
"Chaos of Rage: Old God's Roar!"
"A Chaos Art!?"
Cain's astonishment intensified.
Before he had a chance to respond, a primordial and fiendish phantom head formed around Deniel. This being was hideously deformed and aberrant, emanating a raw dread originating from chaos's very source.
Next, it parted its jaws.
A bellow exploded forth.
The noise wasn't just deafening—it was all-consuming, wielding a might that went beyond the corporeal. It slammed into Cain directly, stopping his plunge midway and flinging him tumbling back through the air. Blood gushed from his mouth in heavy spurts while his innards quaked fiercely from the blow.
Several moments passed before Cain regained his balance.
Still, the turmoil churning in his mind and soul remained overwhelming.
"Chaos and Order Arts... those are Fourth Realm powers," Cain pondered, his face growing grim. "Only my brother and I should wield them..."
Suddenly, a recollection emerged.
"Wait... he could use them too."
His mind wandered momentarily to the Ancient One—his fiercest foe in the Crimson World. That figure had likewise summoned wings and harnessed the Universe Matrix's might.
"His strength seemed odd... unfinished. Like an imperfect copy," Cain assessed. "But Deniel's Chaos Art... it's genuine. No less potent than my own."
Doubts swarmed his thoughts—but answers would have to wait. Deniel was advancing.
Like a gleaming comet, he rocketed ahead, ripping space apart behind him. Having purged the Eternum Flames completely, and boosted by the Chaos Wing, his power had soared to unprecedented heights.
Cain refused to fall back.
His gaze hardened as he charged once again.
In an instant, they collided anew.
Deniel's punch thrust out with horrifying accuracy. Yet now, Cain trusted solely in his expertise and command of the Flow, contorting his frame barely enough to dodge the hit.
Immediately, he struck back.
His fist crashed into Deniel's liver, channeling Quietus Force into the impact.
Deniel's eyes narrowed upon sensing the icy power infiltrating his organ, on the verge of paralyzing it. Yet he withstood it. Clenching his teeth, he countered right away, slamming his knee into Cain's chest.
The Sacred Armor soaked up much of the blow—but not everything.
Some force still pierced through, jarring Cain's internals and making him cough up more blood.
"His bodily strength is insane," Cain understood. "I can't let this turn into a war of endurance... or defeat is certain."
His murderous aura exploded.
His Chaos Wings blazed, blocking the next assault while hiding his motions. In that fleeting shadow, Cain spun behind Deniel and grabbed him from the rear.
Deniel's eyes bulged.
Before reacting, Cain flung them both toward the earth.
They hurtled down, velocity mounting rapidly.
Deniel fought wildly, landing heavy blows on Cain's arms, but couldn't escape. Cain kept speeding up, tapping the Endless River of the Flow's impetus.
Their plunge turned inevitable.
"BOOOOOOO000000000000000M!"
The collision was devastating.
The ground exploded as the pair smashed into it with apocalyptic
force. The nearby terrain lay in ruins, and the Time River cracked from the strain, its currents erupting in wild
floods.
Cain's breaths came harsh and uneven.
His every bone shuddered from the crash. Although he'd let go at the final moment and redirected some energy, the smash inflicted serious harm.
Nevertheless...
A subtle grin formed on his blood-smeared visage.
Deniel had absorbed the complete force of that maneuver.
His state must be graver.
But prior to Cain exploiting the opening—
He sensed it once more.
The Universe Matrix quivered.
"Chaos of Rage: Hecatoncheire's Barrage!"
The haze parted.
Deniel rose in the pit, his form bruised and bleeding—but nowhere near broken. Looming behind him towered an enormous presence.
It dwarfed all imagination.
A nightmarish creature boasting a hundred arms and fifty heads.
Every head howled together, their cries rattling the skies.
Then Deniel lunged.
As he advanced, the horror followed.
Cain responded without delay.
He pressed his palms together, driving the Flow to its utmost as he called forth the Thirty-Three Petal Golden Lotus.
"BOOM!"
"BOOM!"
"BOOM!"
The onslaught commenced.
Every blow of the Hecatoncheire struck with catastrophic power, blasting the golden lotus and burying it further into the earth with each thunderous hit.
"DIE!" Deniel bellowed, madness blazing fiercely in his eyes.
Sanity had completely fled his face.
Fury alone persisted.
Cain perceived the crumbling of Deniel's psyche—yet he
couldn't capitalize on it. All his attention poured into
enduring the unyielding barrage.
Through endless brushes with death, his progress had honed
Cain's command of the Flow to new heights. He now synchronized thirty out of thirty-three petals flawlessly, bestowing a shield no typical Third Realm might could pierce.
Regrettably—
This onslaught transcended the Third Realm.
Fissures started snaking over the golden lotus.
They multiplied ceaselessly as seconds ticked by.
It couldn't withstand much longer.
Resolve sharpened in Cain's gaze.
He had to conclude this—immediately.
Breathing deeply, he lifted his arm, molding it into a sharp edge. His
Chaos Wings merged with Universe Matrix might, funneling
it all toward one focal point.
Deniel noticed.
A fleeting doubt sparked in his eyes for a split second.
However, the insanity devouring him proved overwhelming.
He pressed on relentlessly.
Cain amassed it all.
Every fragment of strength. Every spark of determination.
"Chaos of Mythology..."
His words thundered over the battlefield.
Right then—
The golden lotus exploded into fragments.
The Hecatoncheire's myriad fists plummeted, set to eradicate
him.
Yet Cain proved swifter.
He slashed his arm downward. "Excalibur!"
