In the radiant Eternal Soul Realm, a powerful woman with an Ancestor Eye scouts an Eternal Soul Kingdom stronghold stealthily, only to find it empty. Suddenly ambushed and immobilized by invisible threads, she faces a young man with scarlet eyes who reveals himself as the Scarlet King from the Ninth Realm. Identifying her as Jasmir, a Knight of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom, he proposes they collaborate as fellow outsiders infiltrating the Eighth Realm.

Jasmir narrowed her eyes while listening to Cain's suggestion.

His power was undeniable to her senses. Approaching her without detection, given her sharp awareness, was no small feat. Only a handful of fighters at her rank could have surprised her in such a way.

Yet, her selection for this task wasn't due to being the mightiest.

Plenty of fighters in the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom surpassed her in strength. In her view, no matter the odd powers of the Scarlet King, a Ninth Realm figure couldn't match the top experts from Paradise's upper Realms. All her doubts, her computations, her wary thoughts were exposed to Cain like an open book.

Via the Flow, her mental shifts appeared as distinct waves on calm waters.

Still, he merely offered a light smile.

A simple gesture from his hand dissolved the unseen bindings, restoring her complete bodily command. Simultaneously, he flung a tiny crystal her way.

"I get that linking with someone from another Realm might exceed your clearance," Cain stated evenly. "Go ahead and check with your leaders. If they're keen, the crystal will connect you to me."

Jasmir snatched it mid-air, eyeing him briefly before nodding once. Then, she faded from view.

Though she upheld her hiding methods, away from his sight, her pace surged ahead. She distanced herself more and more from the Scarlet King-and from any strongholds of the

Eternal Soul Kingdom-until she arrived at a secluded area beyond major factions' reach.

At that point, she finally eased her guard.

A pensive look settled on her features as she pondered Cain's proposition. But soon, she dismissed it with a shake of her head.

"The Ninth Realm will eventually yield its piece of the Sacred Treasure," she whispered to herself. "No sense in tangling with a guy like-"

Her speech halted abruptly.

Her gaze expanded in shock.

A blade's point protruded from her torso.

Disbelief and terror locked her face.

Her Royal Blutlinie essence responded swiftly. Natural defenses kicked in as her vitality burst forth, striving to

strike back.

The effort endured barely a moment.

A rush of pale flames surged into her veins, racing across her form, halting every molecule and speck in total stillness.

Her strength ebbed away.

Her motions stopped.

Her awareness dimmed.

From behind, Cain pulled back the Blade of the End of Times with fluid grace. He steadied her collapsing frame and slipped away, leaving no sign.

Prior to departing, he scorched all lingering traces of their powers and presences. Should anyone sense a fight had happened later, no clues would remain-no mark, no path, no lead to pursue.

Thirty minutes passed before Cain surfaced over a serene-looking lake.

Its face lay still and reflective.

Yet the liquid was far from normal.

This was a creation of the Omen of Time. Any common entity nearing it would see their years drain, their being gradually eroded by time's wear.

To Cain, though, it suited perfectly.

Owing to his command of the Omen of Time, the lake held no threat. Better yet, it was a spot most avoided-a flawless spot to conceal oneself.

He plunged into the depths until hitting the lakebed.

Only then did he shift focus to Jasmir once more.

The Quietus Force kept her in the exact state of unconsciousness. The dread in her stare lingered, immobilized.

Cain gave a faint shake of his head.

In truth, her end was decided the instant he spotted her.

The sole reason he delayed her death was uncertainty about ending her swiftly before her full might unleashed. Amid the ongoing conflict, the Eternal Soul Realm's troops were hyper-alert to odd energy surges. Even a minor flare could spark a massive probe.

Discretion was crucial.

Hence, his initial approach to her.

Upon touching, he had already imprinted her with Karma. Though the bonds loosened later, the karmic links clung on, quietly clouding her senses and gut feelings.

They wouldn't block her entirely.

But they hid Cain's nearness completely.

Regarding his pitch for partnering with the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom...

It was pure deception.

Cain's arrival in the Eternal Soul Realm wasn't for pacts.

He came to slay.

To build his power.

Teaming with Nirvana operatives could offer short-term camouflage, but it would curb his actions. In the least, they'd hinder his pace. In the worst, they'd seek to wield him as a pawn.

Such a thing was intolerable.

Nevertheless, the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom's actions in the Eighth Realm mattered.

Not for joining them.

But because conflict bred disorder.

And disorder bred chances.

With the Seventh and Eighth Realms already battling, Cain could exploit the turmoil to delve further into foe lands-and reap many more souls than solo efforts allowed.

"Time to uncover your secrets," he whispered.

He rested a palm on Jasmir's forehead.

His soul energy pierced straight into her psyche.

Lacking any wish to spare her soul, Cain held nothing back. He ripped past psychic walls, recall locks, and reflex shields, pulling out all-every report on tasks, every hierarchy of orders, every path of positioning, every aim in strategy.

He required the complete view of the Seventh Realm's maneuvers in the Eternal Soul Realm.

And he pressed on until securing it.

The extraction demanded effort.

Yet in time, he dissected every hidden truth in the defeated Alpha-Omega Royal Blutlinie's thoughts.

Upon completion, astonishment flashed over his expression.

"The Immortal Nirvana Kingdom isn't merely assaulting the Eighth Realm,"

he murmured softly. "They're also warding off the Sixth Realm's troops... who in turn resist the Fifth's push."

His gaze sharpened.

He'd thought the strife confined to the Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Realms, given one Sacred Treasure shard split among them.

Evidently, his data was lacking.

"The Realm war ignited well before the Ancestors' Tomb unlocked," Cain grasped.

This implied a graver threat.

Once the Realms delved into the Tomb...

The enmity, the resentments, the bloodshed- all would reach fever pitch. And upon clashing in that sealed domain-

"The carnage," Cain breathed, "will be total."
