The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2476 A Knight of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
Eternal Soul Realm, the Eighth Realm of Paradise.
Regarding its dimensions, it measured about five percent less than the Dark Blood Realm, resulting from Paradise's inverted pyramid formation. However, that marked the close of its drawbacks.
The Eternal Soul Realm excelled in all other ways.
Higher energy density prevailed there. Natural laws appeared more polished. Phenomena displayed greater richness and steadiness. The space's essence felt tougher, more vibrant, as though reality held a sturdier core.
The sky revealed the contrast most strikingly.
Contrasting the gloomy, tempest-filled heavens of the Dark Blood Realm, the Eighth Realm's sky glowed with a vivid, fiery azure hue. This glow extended beyond sight alone. Streams of untainted soul energy cascaded from the heavens like a boundless sea hovering overhead. Those dwelling under it sensed its sustaining touch—a soft but steady bolstering of spirit, determination, and core being.
Standing under it resembled being beneath a blazing ocean of souls.
And under that grand sky, a woman glided quietly.
Beauty defined her, featuring a fine yet determined visage, cropped white locks, and complex symbols carved on either cheek like timeless glyphs. Terror emanated from her being. The force concealed under her control could drive advanced Omega Beasts and Royal Butlilinie to bolt away in primal fear.
Still, she held it in check.
With precision. Utterly.
Her form flickered across the terrain as she neared one of
the numerous defended citadels dotting the Eternal Soul Realm—bases of the Eternal Soul Kingdom.
Upon arriving at a hidden overlook, her gaze intensified. She drew in a deep breath.
The Ancestor Eye set in her brow started to shine. Reality shifted.
Trees, paths, barriers—even the earth—turned see-through in her sight. Strata of substance stripped back, exposing frameworks, arrays, secret rooms, guard routes, energy currents. Her scan covered the whole fortress with exact, systematic thoroughness.
Her scrutiny missed nothing.
After a few instants, she breathed out lightly and shook her head.
"Another failure."
As soon as the phrase escaped her, her eyes flew wide.
A figure lurked behind her.
The aura materialized out of nowhere—no ripple, no stir, no sign. Raw gut feeling howled threat.
She prepared to release her complete might.
Yet she recalled her location.
Releasing her actual aura in this place would reveal her presence right away.
Gritting her teeth, she held back. A blade appeared noiselessly in her grasp as she readied to eliminate the interloper without breaking cover.
Before she spun around—
A palm pressed against her back.
Directly rearward of her heart.
Her frame stiffened.
"I can't move!?"
Icy fear surged through her thoughts.
It seemed like myriad unseen strands encircled her from all angles, locking her limbs, her force, even her soul's circulation. She attempted to trigger the Ancestor Eye, yet it discerned zilch.
No bindings.
No force shapes.
Nothing.
The dread of approaching demise swelled swiftly, driving her to the brink of forsaking disguise and exploding her strength
no matter the fallout.
Then a figure stepped before her.
A youth.
He displayed a glowing grin, his demeanor serene and welcoming. His eyes
flared with intense crimson glow.
"Relax," he uttered softly. "I just want to talk."
In usual situations, she would dismiss such statements—especially in total paralysis.
But an element in his stare caused her to pause.
She sensed it too.
He had pulled back his might.
And he had retreated, widening the gap between them.
"There's no reason to blow your cover and fail your mission," he went on. "Let's just talk."
That statement shifted the scales.
The woman compelled herself to steady.
Temporarily.
The youth's grin broadened a touch as he detected her control. His crimson eyes glinted with subdued approval while he regarded the myriad violet strands encircling her form, each subtly laced with crimson radiance.
They lacked the might to forever hold a Late Alpha-Omega Overgod should she decide to shatter them.
Yet right then, they performed their role flawlessly.
And owing to the Power of Karma, he had neared her
unnoticed until the last second.
Refusing to let his methods divert him, the Scarlet King addressed her.
"I arrived here recently," Cain said. "I was planning to capture one of
the Eternal Soul Realm's warriors to gather information. Then I
noticed you."
His stare grew keener a bit.
"You were moving far too carefully. And more importantly, I know you
don't belong to the Eternal Soul Kingdom."
The woman's eyes tightened.
His undetected pursuit disturbed her. But
his statement hinted at key insight.
He hailed from outside the Eternal Soul Kingdom as well.
Her vigilance eased a fraction.
Following a short hesitation to select her phrasing, she replied.
"I am Jasmir," she said. "A Knight of the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom." Interest sparked in Cain's eyes, and his grin expanded.
"So the forces of the Seventh Realm of Paradise are operating in the
Eighth Realm," he said thoughtfully. "Interesting. Very interesting." His thoughts raced ahead, assessing chances, links, prospects.
He halted only upon seeing the cautious expression persisting on
Jasmir's features.
"My apologies for my rudeness," he added politely. "I am the Scarlet
King. I come from the Ninth Realm."
"The Ninth Realm?"
Astonishment crossed Jasmir's face. She hid it
swiftly, yet Cain caught a hint of another emotion.
Disdain.
It made sense.
Higher Paradise Realms boasted superior strength and polish.
The Ninth paled against the Eighth in comparison. From this viewpoint, upper Realms probably saw the Dark Blood Realm as scarcely more than a crude
wilderness.
Cain remained unconcerned.
A realm's potency mattered little when personal power could exceed surroundings. The Dark Blood King by himself formed a fearsome entity able to command force rivaling the Fourth Realm. Dismissing the idea, Cain pressed on.
"If the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom is making a move in the Eternal Soul Realm," he said calmly, "then I believe we may be able to help each other."
