The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2416 The last Royal Guard

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
A cataclysmic explosion rocked the Ocean of the Blood Sun, transforming it into a vast battlefield where shockwaves rippled across the sector. Kriz, empowered by divine force and the ocean's vitality, clashed desperately against the monstrous Sky Terror and its rider, the Crown Prince of the Kalous Kingdom, but struggled to land a decisive blow amid barrages of dark plasma. Mirena battled Orfin's deceptive clones, enduring a brutal ambush that left her bloodied yet defiant, while Satan and Hades faced the unyielding might of Gilgark's modified physique, their attacks barely scratching his resilient form. Beneath the waves, the Scarlet King consumed captured Blutlinie foes, amassing vital energy to stave off impending disaster as the Aztorus forces teetered on the brink of defeat.

The fierce confrontation blazed on for more than thirty minutes, bursting with savage intensity. Torrents of blood swelled and crashed while forces defying logic slammed together over and over, fracturing the heavens.

Though the Ocean of the Blood Sun flooded Mirena and Kriz with boundless life energy coursing through their bloodstreams, they remained utterly outmatched by the horrifying strength of their adversaries.

It was evident that the fighters who claimed spots in the Dark Blood Kingdom were beasts with abilities that mocked all logic.

Then-

A cry of sheer torment reverberated over the blood sea.

Kriz gritted his teeth as his left arm burst apart, ripped to shreds by savage power. Fragments of bone and meat flew through the air before dropping into the scarlet waters, disappearing under the surface like they had never been.

The Royal Blutlinie stumbled backward, his breaths coming in harsh gasps. His gaze darted to Sky Terror. Beyond a few gashes on its torso and throat, he hadn't delivered any strike of real impact.

Now, missing one arm, his odds of victory in this fight were zero.

"If I keep fighting here, I will die."

As soon as that idea hit him, a steely resolve sharpened his face. Without a second thought, Kriz spun toward the huge black stone pillars he had deployed into the fray.

These relics had stayed inactive during the entire clash, emitting just a weak hum. Plenty had questioned why Kriz hauled them in at all. But at that moment, they started to shine.

In an instant, endless chains burst out from the obelisks. They hurtled ahead with astonishing velocity, coiling around Sky Terror

and the pair of Royal Blutlinie from the Dark Blood Kingdom.

"Do not attack!" Kriz bellowed.

His order halted Mirena, Satan, and Hades right as they poised to exploit the gap and launch their assaults.

While bewilderment crossed their expressions, Kriz pressed on, his tone cutting and pressing. "These chains are extremely powerful-but they function through causality. If the sealed targets are attacked, the seal will shatter instantly."

Astonishment-and regret-flickered over Mirena's and the Royal Guards' faces. Yet the reasoning held up. For an item able to bind a Late Alpha-Omega Overgod Omen Beast plus two Middle-Stage Royal Blutlinie, its drawbacks must be harsh.

Even without strikes against them, the bound three struggled wildly. The chains shook, groaned, and bent from the pressure, showing they wouldn't last much longer.

Mirena, Satan, and Hades looked to Kriz, expecting his scheme-

some tactic to make use of this short window.

But the next events caught them off guard.

"Every warrior of the Aztorus Kingdom," Kriz yelled, "retreat immediately!"

Stunned reactions swept the field.

Those words revealed it: Kriz triggered the obelisks not to shift the battle, but to gain moments for withdrawal. He was forsaking the entire Ocean of the Blood Sun.

"Elder Brother, we-" Mirena attempted to object.

Kriz silenced her with an icy look. "We cannot win. And I will not give my life for this pool of red liquid."

Mirena went quiet.

The sway of the Power of Chaos gripped her thoughts deeply-but not so much that she'd pick the blood sea over her own life. After a short hesitation, she agreed and got ready to pull back. Satan and Hades glared at the two Royal Blutlinie with raw anger.

Those two were meant to stand as their comrades.

But instead they ran, dooming them to destruction. The fury burned so hot they nearly lashed out at them. Before either could give in to the urge-

"Hahahaha..."

A steady, resonant chuckle echoed inside their heads.

Cain's tone stayed even, nearly entertained. "I already told you-we can only trust each other. Everyone else is either a tool to achieve our goals... or an enemy to be eradicated."

At first glance, Kriz's withdrawal looked like a crushing setback, but Cain held no fears, and the cause was straightforward.

"CRACK!"

A thunderous breaking noise exploded from the core of the Ocean of the Blood Sun, booming up until it pierced the uppermost layers of

the sky.

The whole battlefield halted.

The following moment, a silhouette emerged from the blood sea.

He had a human-like shape with pale bone skin, angular traits,

and cropped white locks. His eyes were dark, with vivid red pupils glowing at their cores, like the blood sea's force flowed within. Though his stare burned sharp and intent, it couldn't mask the rush and eagerness carved into his features.

His frame was toned and sculpted-not bloated like the Royal Blutlinie's, but shaped to flawless precision. Veins bulged

across his limbs and throat, pulsing with unearthly might. In both fists, he gripped a compact crimson rod.

Every gaze fixed on him.

But his attention bypassed all others there.

It targeted only the mightiest presence on the field.

Sky Terror.

With velocity that stunned all, the white-haired figure blurred out-and materialized right in front of the

Alpha-Omega Overgod Omen Beast's skull.

"Stop!" Kriz yelled on reflex, ordering the stranger to cease.

The white-haired man just grinned.

He swung.

Both rods hammered down together onto Sky Terror's crown.

"BOOM!"

The chains from the obsidian obelisks broke apart right away. Sky Terror

got flung back across the heavens, crimson spilling from its jaws as

its enormous form nearly plunged into the blood sea.

Kriz's eyes bulged in shock.

The force in that one blow outstripped anything he could muster.

Even more astounding-

He sensed zero energy ripples.

That blow came from raw bodily strength alone.

Reverence flooded Kriz's core-only to get swept away by

rage.

"How dare you disobey my command-"

Before his words ended, the white-haired man materialized

straight before him.

Those black-and-crimson eyes pinned Kriz, chilling his veins.

"How are you," the man demanded icily, "qualified to give me orders?"

The instant after, the Royal Guard drove a vicious boot ahead.

It slammed into Kriz's gut.

The Royal Blutlinie soared through the air like a ragdoll, spewing gouts of blood as he faded into the horizon.
