The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2398 Ocean of the Blood Sun

Three days later, the blood ocean's waves surged with fury anew.
On this occasion, hordes numbering in the millions of colossal creatures burst from its scarlet abyss, overwhelming the adjacent territories like an unrelenting flood. In a flash, a tremendous slaughter broke out.
Beasts from the blood ocean pressed onward. They inundated woodlands, climbed peaks, burrowed through marshes, exterminating all life they encountered and hauling the remains back to the depths.
Bodies piled up increasingly in the blood ocean, but Cain held off from devouring them right away. He let them drift on the surface, his mind turned toward the cosmic energies of this strange universe.
Figuring out the principles and regulations of this realm from
the ground up would prove an immense undertaking, even for one whose soul strength had attained the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank. Luckily, Cain wasn't starting from zero.
His current form as the blood ocean held potent cosmic principles and energies woven into its core. All he had to do was align with them and master their use.
That wasn't simple either, but for an expert in the Power of Chaos and the Flow, it was straightforward.
The dead kept stacking as the sea creatures rampaged on. Some victims were no bigger than boxes, others as huge as minor hills. The devastation reached epic proportions, but in a cosmos where all existence thrived on slaying and devouring, it felt utterly ordinary.
The spectacle stirred no unease in Cain.
Across his path of cultivation, he had ended and absorbed the lives of billions-maybe trillions-without a hint
of remorse ever touching him. Provided he avoided butchering the frail and blameless, no ethical weight pressed on him. And here, such ideas held no sway. The frail and blameless rarely lasted long enough to earn a title.
By the seventh day, a rush of exhilaration and anticipation flooded the Scarlet King's core.
Attunement to the cosmic principles within his form had at last been achieved.
"The cosmic rules in this place resemble those of the Crimson World," Cain discerned, "as they fuse laws and ideas into one... but they carry a much fiercer, battle-hardened essence."
A profound reverence swept over his soul. This universe's very rules were geared for war. In contrast to the Crimson World, where fire's cosmic rule signified ruin alongside birth and renewal, here it stood for pure obliteration.
The cosmos seemed crafted solely to produce instruments of death.
This insight burdened him deeply, particularly when he remembered the Demon King's sight-three realms layered one above the other, his home universe crushed at the base.
"It fits if this realm birthed the powers that assaulted the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe and the Crimson World at once," Cain mused. "Still, not a single trace of a True Depravita has shown itself to me yet."
The inconsistency troubled him.
Danger lurked unmistakably here, but its core eluded grasp. Ultimately, the Scarlet King cast aside his uncertainties. Pursuing unattainable truths brought no gain, so he turned to what lay within reach.
"Control over life, bloodlines, and-to some degree-evolution falls to me now."
Exhilaration and eagerness welled up inside. This matched precisely what he sought.
Eternally bound as a blood ocean held no appeal, clashing with his cultivation route, and the Power of The Flow functioned far superior in a human-like frame.
The Scarlet King selected this shape initially for protection, and next as an ideal cradle-one that could birth a physique with gifts and promise exceeding any being he'd met before.
Honing his concentration, Cain grasped the cosmic forces at his disposal and directed them toward tangible shapes.
Four cocoons started forming.
Three emerged in the blood ocean's central depths. The fourth-and most potent-rested at the ocean floor. Nourishing it would prove tougher, but its spot defied even Alpha-Omega Overgods' easy access.
Cain launched into action without delay.
Harnessing the cosmic rules with the Powers of Chaos and The Flow, he dominated the corpses. Their forms shattered beneath the blood ocean's crushing weight, reduced to flows of refined life energy and bloodline purity. These flows funneled straight into the three cocoons.
As Cain concentrated on the cocoons and felt the vitality budding inside, a perilous spark lit in his soul.
"To collect the resources for my reborn form," he understood, "I'll need commanders who can push past the blood ocean's limits."
Time flowed onward.
Endless corpses got pulled in by Cain's minions, broken down into essence and poured into the cocoons. The scheme advanced flawlessly.
Then, in the third month after the slaughter ignited,
a shift occurred.
Cain sensed a mighty presence ripping through a swarm of his minions, racing toward the blood ocean with terrifying velocity.
The invaders soon revealed themselves.
A band from the city Cain had spotted earlier reached the blood ocean's brink. Not one sported a third eye, but all boasted towering builds, their frames etched with immense might.
Leading them loomed a colossal fighter.
Armor sprouted straight from his skin, cruel barbs jutting out as if naturally born. The most eye-catching feature was a narrow slot on his brow-a vacant spot hinting at an eye's imminent birth.
The commander stared at the blood ocean, puzzlement and icy strategy marking his stern visage. Moments later, realization dawned in his gaze.
"You," he declared, his tone booming with command, "who have seized the Ocean of the Blood Sun... we must speak."
