The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2347 The opening of the Eternity Gate

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The Scarlet King and the Ancient One clash in a cataclysmic aerial battle, their overgod powers shaking the very foundation of Origin Island. Despite the Ancient One’s billions of years of experience and monstrous strength, Cain’s recent racial evolution allows him to endure the assault and exploit his opponent's weakened soul. While the Demon King and other survivors watch helplessly from below, Cain taps into a new, devastating obsidian plasma energy that pierces through the Ancient One’s defenses. The struggle reaches a fever pitch as Cain unleashes a point-blank explosion, driving the ancient monster into the earth and carving a massive canyon through the island.

A stunned silence washed over the battlefield as plumes of dust and chaotic energy billowed from the massive canyon carved by Cain's strike.

The fundamental laws and rules of Origin Island possessed unimaginable durability. Even the combined killing intent of over twenty Alpha-Omega Overgods had seen its destructive potential largely suppressed by the island's rigid framework.

Despite this, Cain’s assault had split the earth wide open, forging a vast canyon that served as a testament to the horrifying, destructive essence of obsidian energy.

"It might be even stronger than the EndSphere from my Primordial Body."

As this realization surfaced in Cain’s mind, a confident and wide grin spread across his face. He did not permit himself to become complacent, however, fully aware that the struggle was far from its conclusion.

Before long, the Ancient One rose from the depths of the crater.

His physical form was severely mangled, with flesh scorched and shredded in numerous spots, yet his gaze betrayed no hint of fear or defeat. With slow, calculated movements, he shifted his attention toward the shadow sphere. The orb pulsed with violent tremors as he began to siphon its essence into himself, draining its power without restraint.

Agonizing screams erupted from the Neo-Angels as their very essence was harvested.

Their suffering held no weight for the Ancient One. Their existences were trivialities. His only focus was the massive influx of power now saturating his veins and bones.

Suddenly, his back began to heave.

Massive tentacles burst forth from his spine, emerging between his wings of white plasma. These appendages were littered with grotesque eyes and etched with sinister sealing runes. They thrashed wildly before expanding in size, shifting into gargantuan serpents composed of shadow and pure authority.

With a sudden burst, they lunged at Cain.

Their momentum and raw force were staggering.

Cain’s gaze sharpened instantly. He recognized the danger immediately; if those tentacles ensnared him, even his current level of Cultivation would not save him from being sealed. Space-time would solidify around him, trapping him in a state of eternal stasis.

But he did not back down.

Instead, Cain inhaled deeply, pushing his Qi to its absolute limit. His obsidian energy flared with violent intensity as he ignited both his soul force and life force, forcing his physical vessel into its ultimate peak. He charged forward like a bolt of lightning.

Harnessing immense power in his limbs, he struck one of the shadow serpents with a punch, sending it reeling through sheer physical might. Without breaking his stride, he fired a beam of obsidian energy at another, shattering it into fading remnants of darkness.

Guided by his overwhelming physical prowess and obsidian power, Cain advanced without mercy. He obliterated everything in his path—crushing, blasting, and erasing obstacles as he closed the distance to the Ancient One.

He was exerting every ounce of his strength.

Cain noticed that the shadow serpents were gradually adapting, making his obsidian energy less effective against them. Nevertheless, he pressed on without a moment's hesitation, knowing that even a heartbeat of stagnation would result in his death.

The Ancient One’s eye radiated a terrifying, intensified light as he tracked the Scarlet King’s approach, his focus entirely fixed on the obsidian energy circulating through Cain’s Meridians.

Finally, after carving a path of ruin across the firmament, Cain stood directly in front of his foe.

The Scarlet King pressed his palms together, gathering obsidian energy for a finishing blow.

At that exact moment, the Ancient One’s white wings expanded violently as he tapped into the shadow orb once more. His voice resonated through the fabric of reality as he spoke a single command.

"Seal."

Cain’s eyes snapped wide.

He felt a wave of energy ripple through the world, invading his body and completely paralyzing his obsidian power. It felt as though a primordial law had been etched into the universe itself, severing his link to his energy and leaving it stagnant. The light in the Ancient One’s eye nearly went dark from the effort, but a triumphant smirk appeared on his face.

With Cain’s primary power locked away, he appeared defenseless. The tentacles lashed out, poised to crush Cain and trap him in a frozen moment of eternity.

Yet, Cain did not show signs of panic. Instead, his expression turned cold.

Fierceness radiated from him.

A brilliant golden light burst from his eyes, more radiant than ever before.

His fingers moved with blinding speed.

In less than a nanosecond, Cain struck eighteen vital points across the Ancient One’s form.

Just as the tentacles were about to make contact, they exploded in unison.

Gouts of blood sprayed from every one of the Ancient One’s wounds and orifices as his frame went into violent convulsions.

Cain’s grin grew wider as he felt the Flow Art: Thirty-Three Stars take effect.

He had anticipated that defeating a mastermind like the Ancient One would require a last-second reversal. He had kept this trump card in reserve specifically for the possibility of his obsidian energy being countered.

He was only capable of executing such a sophisticated Flow Art because his new racial form was perfectly attuned to the universe, elevating his mastery over the Flow to heights never seen before.

As Cain felt the Ancient One’s soul force and vitality spiral into total disorder, his killing intent peaked.

This was his window of opportunity.

By striking now, he could annihilate the Ancient One’s body and soul, sealing the villain’s True Name within the Scarlet Throne to erase his existence forever.

However, before Cain could deliver the final strike, the remaining tentacles retreated toward the Ancient One. They coiled around him with frantic speed, weaving together to form a colossal cocoon the size of a minor moon.

The barrier solidified instantly, shielding the foe and forcing Cain to leap back.

The Scarlet King scowled.

The Ancient One was a threat that required total elimination—especially if Cain intended to journey to the World of the Root without fearing for the safety of the Crimson World.

Yet, the dark cocoon appeared nearly impenetrable for the time being.

And he had other matters to attend to.

A second later, Cain’s gaze sharpened as he pivoted toward the Eternity Gate.

It was finally swinging open.
