The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2345 No longer a Neo-Demon
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
The Scarlet King and the Crimson Exarch struggled to their feet, swaying precariously as they stood upon the third tier of the pyramid leading toward the Eternity Gate.
The Masters of Chaos and Order were utterly spent.
Their physical forms held no more strength, and their internal reserves of Cultivation power were completely dry. Each inhalation felt like fire, and every shift of their limbs brought agonizing pain. Nevertheless, as the Ancient One’s silhouette drew near, their flickering determination solidified, their sheer willpower casting aside all uncertainty.
Watching them, the Ancient One let his smirk broaden, lingering on the sight before their spirits were finally crushed.
To him, shattering their hope was far more satisfying than merely ending their lives.
"Option one," he declared with chilling composure. "Bow your heads, drop to your knees, and submit to my decree."
He lifted a single finger toward them.
"Option two: I grind you into dust and ensure your very existence is erased."
It was a Choice between total submission or absolute annihilation.
These were the only paths the Ancient One allowed.
A heavy silence gripped the air for a heartbeat.
Then, the Crimson Exarch exhaled a weary sigh and rolled his shoulders, his face twisting into a feral grin.
"Option three."
The moment the words escaped his lips, the firearm in his grip warped and shifted. The metal flowed like shimmering liquid light, reshaping itself into a sharp golden horn. With a sudden, violent motion, he lunged to the side.
Cain’s eyes snapped wide in shock.
A spray of crimson erupted everywhere.
The golden horn tore through Cain’s chest, buried deep within his heart.
"CAIN!"
Meylin’s scream echoed, saturated with horror and fury. She struggled to stand, but her paralyzed body failed her. She could only watch in despair. "You bastard!"
The Demon King let out a guttural roar, his eyes burning with rage as he glared at the Crimson Exarch, cursing himself for not slaying the man when he had the opportunity.
"Hahaha! It appears you have finally come to your senses," the Ancient One remarked, his voice dripping with mockery as he observed the apparent betrayal. "Better late than never."
Slowly, the Scarlet King turned his gaze toward the Crimson Exarch.
He no longer possessed any Depravita Aura to mend his broken flesh.
This strike was a death blow.
"You... son of a—"
The sentence was cut short.
His frame began to vibrate with violent intensity, and a massive column of blue and violet light burst from his chest. It soared into the heavens like a spear thrown by a vengeful deity, creating a shockwave so powerful it hurled the Crimson Exarch backward.
The man had exhausted every spark of energy in his body and soul. He slammed into the earth, broken and bleeding—yet as he watched the brilliant pillar of light, a triumphant smile crossed his face.
"Jackpot."
Confusion rippled through the center of Origin Island.
The Crimson Exarch had run the Scarlet King through the heart, yet instead of the expected betrayal for survival, an incomprehensible explosion of life and power had occurred.
Even the Ancient One—who was certain of his triumph—stood paralyzed with shock, his face reflecting pure disbelief at the sudden turn of events.
However, his survival instincts began to scream.
Something incredibly perilous was unfolding, and he had to terminate it immediately.
Casting aside his bewilderment, he lunged forward with devastating speed, determined to shatter the pillar of light before the process could conclude.
Before he could make contact, the Matrix of Origin Island shuddered, and strands of cosmic Dao and universal laws surged into the light.
The power emanating from the Matrix sent ripples across the entire pyramid. The impact was so colossal that even the Ancient One was forced back, his boots carving furrows into the ground as he struggled to stabilize himself.
He stared at the column of energy, stunned.
The Matrix was responding in a way similar to a Neo-Angel activating their ultimate form—but this was something far greater.
This wasn't just the temporary sealing of law fragments or the manipulation of rules for a brief power boost.
It was as if the fundamental laws of the cosmos were rebuilding Cain’s very soul and body.
He was evolving. Not into a Neo-Demon or a Neo-Angel, but into an entirely new state of being.
The light eventually began to dim, receding as the silhouette within grew distinct.
Finally, the glow vanished.
Cain stood before them.
Neo-Demon armor covered his limbs, but it was no longer made of bone. It had transformed into a deep obsidian black, engraved with countless shimmering blue runes that seemed to pulse with the laws of the universe.
A crown-like obsidian halo floated above his head. From this crown, billions of nearly invisible filaments extended, weaving his presence into the very fabric of the world.
His Wings of Chaos had also changed.
The pure plasma was gone, replaced by massive obsidian feathers that radiated a soft glow as swirling Chaos energy moved within them.
The Demon King, Meylin, and the surviving warriors of the Life Path watched in stunned silence.
It wasn't just the physical change that left them breathless—it was the sheer pressure. The overwhelming power pouring from Cain made the entire battlefield tremble.
In truth, Cain was just as shocked as they were.
Peering into his own Dantian and heart, he saw that the Neo-Demon Core and the Blue Matrix were gone. In their place sat a mysterious obsidian dodecahedron—a core that anchored every facet of his power and soul.
"I am no longer a Neo-Demon..." Cain whispered, unsure of what to think.
A thousand questions raced through his mind, but there was no time for contemplation.
Drawing a deep breath, he cleared his thoughts and tightened his grip.
"ZNNNN!"
The very fabric of space groaned.
In a flash, Cain vanished from the pyramid, reappearing instantly in front of the Ancient One. His fist connected with the man’s chest, exploding with world-shaking power and launching the Ancient One high into the atmosphere.
The Ancient One recovered quickly, pushing past his alarm. His eyes flared with icy malice and resolve.
It didn't matter what form Cain had taken.
He would still end him.
"Die, you rat!"
With a furious bellow, the Ancient One plummeted from the sky as Cain shot upward like a comet to meet him.
