The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2323 Meylin vs Atena

Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
A violet-eyed man single-handedly defeated a Neo-Angel and carried away their unconscious form. Meanwhile, the Enlightened One, having recently evolved to Alpha-Omega Overgod, navigated the perilous volcanic terrain of Origin Island. He encountered a powerful, violet-eyed woman who could read his thoughts and effortlessly outmaneuvered him, inflicting severe wounds despite his advanced abilities and attempts to escape.

As the conflict persisted, the body of the Enlightened One became increasingly covered in fresh lacerations. He had abandoned any hope of outrunning his opponent; the woman possessed superior speed and overwhelming strength, allowing her to intercept his path with minimal effort.

His sole prospect for survival lay in creating a momentary gap, inflicting a wound, and escaping before she could recover. Regrettably, the tide of battle was not in his favor.

He manipulated his staff in erratic, chaotic arcs—stretching, thickening, and bending it at will—yet the woman’s arm had transformed into solid obsidian. This allowed her to deflect his weapon using nothing but her bare palm. Each time she countered with a strike, he felt his internal organs suffer grievous damage.

A heavy palm strike slammed into his chest, propelling the Enlightened One through a dense line of trees. He hit the earth with a violent thud, spitting out a glob of crimson blood.

"Answer my question, and I will show you mercy," the woman with violet eyes declared. "I give you my word in my name—Atena."

She halted her aggressive pursuit to offer those terms, but the Enlightened One struggled to his feet, leaning on his staff to support his trembling frame. He glared at her through blood-stained eyes. His expression was a mixture of unwavering resolve, lack of fear, and pure killing intent.

Atena let out a quiet sigh. "Fine, then."

She gave a single nod—a gesture of respect for his spirit—but that recognition did not mean she would spare him. She blurred forward, her obsidian-coated arm aimed to shatter his vitals in the coming impact.

However, just as their powers were set to collide, the killing intent of the Enlightened One acted as a signal. Starlight seemed to rip through the fabric of the air, and a young woman with radiant hair manifested. Wielding two blades, the True Depravita released a surge of cutting force that slammed into Atena and sent her flying backward.

A faint smile touched the Enlightened One’s lips at the sight of Meylin by his side, though he remained fully alert.

Atena was thrown back with great force, and while she shielded herself with her obsidian arm, she hadn't regained her footing before the Enlightened One gathered his remaining Qi. His staff surged forward, glowing with intense light as it struck Atena in the midsection, driving her deep into the volcanic soil and creating a massive crater.

Following the strike, the staff returned to its original dimensions, and the Enlightened One immediately alerted Meylin.

"She can read thoughts."

Meylin’s expression sharpened. As the True Depravita of Original Sin, she instantly fortified her mind, locking down her consciousness and relying solely on pure combat instinct.

The pair shared a quick nod, moving into a synchronized formation. Having fought side-by-side many times during their months in the Fourth Realm, their coordination was perfect. Their combined Cultivation and teamwork made them far more formidable than they were alone. They would need that synergy to survive.

Atena emerged from the depths of the crater within seconds.

The coordinated ambush—a lethal strike from Meylin paired with the Enlightened One’s heavy staff blow—had only managed to inflict minor scratches.

It appeared her race lacked immediate regenerative abilities, but the sheer toughness of her physique was more than enough compensation.

Atena brushed a drop of blood from her lip and focused her attention on Meylin.

"This is your final warning," she stated. "Tell me everything you know."

Despite her composed exterior, both Meylin and the Enlightened One could feel the icy, controlled rage vibrating beneath the surface. Someone who could maintain such mental discipline while harboring such fury was a terrifying opponent.

Predictably, neither Meylin nor the Enlightened One intended to reveal secrets that could put their comrades at risk. Instead, they tightened their combat stances.

"Very well," Atena whispered.

A small smile played on her face as she inhaled deeply. Her pulse accelerated—faster and faster—until it surged like a dying star.

"Asura Form."

Meylin and the Enlightened One both recoiled in shock. The nature of that power was instantly recognizable to them. Even so, they kept their mental barriers high, refusing to let their thoughts wander toward Cain to prevent her from stealing any intel.

Atena ignored their reaction. She vanished from sight, appearing before them with terrifying velocity.

The Enlightened One managed to raise his staff just in time. Atena’s obsidian-clad kick slammed into the weapon like a falling star. While the staff protected his head, the sheer momentum sent him tumbling through the air, his arms numbed by the vibration.

Meylin struck back instantly, capitalizing on the moment Atena’s leg was extended. Her twin swords whistled toward Atena’s throat. But before they could connect, Atena opened her hand, forming a spike of obsidian energy identical to the armor covering her skin. She fired it at point-blank range. The resulting explosion threw the True Depravita back into the distance.

Atena didn't pause for a second. Turning toward the Enlightened One, she leveled her fingers and condensed a second beam of obsidian energy—this one thinner, swifter, and far more lethal.

The Enlightened One’s pupils dilated as he saw the incoming beam. Realizing he couldn't dodge, he maintained his composure. He spun his staff rapidly, creating a defensive circle. Clasping his hands, he poured every drop of his power and the Light of the Flow into his weapon.

The staff transformed, expanding into a towering golden portal.

The obsidian ray hit the mark.

Shockwaves rippled through the area, turning volcanic stone and ash into a swirling vortex. The golden gate groaned and began to fracture under the immense pressure—yet it stayed intact just long enough to neutralize the beam before dissolving into light. The staff flew back to the Enlightened One, still hissing with heat.

Atena’s eyes widened with genuine amazement. She hadn't expected the strike to be fatal, but seeing him negate the attack entirely was shocking.

Her surprise deepened further when, a moment later, she felt a massive surge of power from her flank, accompanied by two icy words.

"Redemption Incarnation!"
