The Eldest Sister Has Space Chapter 3752: why are you here

Previously on The Eldest Sister Has Space...
Gu Ruyi makes a surprising return to the city, encountering Song Yan disguised as a coachman, which sparks her curiosity and concern about her uncle's involvement. As she reunites with Xiaolu, the conversation hints at the newfound reverence and caution her former coworkers hold for her due to her elevated status. The embroiderers discuss the implications of Gu Ruyi’s return, speculating on her future in the embroidery workshop and the attention she is likely to receive from potential suitors now that her connections have been revealed. Secrets and aspirations hang in the air as Ruyi's life takes a significant turn.

Gu Ruyi remained oblivious to the fact that those around her were already gossiping about her potential marriage; her heart was still heavy with worry.

Song Yan was a prince, after all. He had arrived in Feng County with them without a single guard for protection. What would they do if some misfortune befell him?

The carriage came to a halt shortly after in front of the Li family residence.

Disturbed by the noise, the three members of the Li household hurried outside. Mrs. Li rushed forward with a joyful expression and grasped Gu Ruyi’s hand. "Ruyi, you have finally returned."

"Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother," Gu Ruyi greeted them with a warm smile. She then stepped to the side to introduce her companion. "This is my cousin, Chichi; he is the one who escorted me home. Mother, let us go inside to talk first. My cousin and his group have been traveling the entire day."

Mr. Li was momentarily stunned, but Chichi had already stepped forward to offer a polite junior's salute.

Caught off guard, Mr. Li hurriedly shifted his body to the side and spoke nervously, "Quickly, please come inside. We can sit down and talk."

Chichi turned back to give instructions to the three coachmen. "Unload the gifts from the carriage first, then come inside for some tea."

Following that, he entered the house with Mr. Li.

Father Li did not follow them in immediately. Instead, he stayed behind to assist with moving the items off the carriage.

Gu Ruyi fought the desperate urge to look back. After all, Song Yan—who was currently helping unload luggage—was the Prince of the Li Kingdom.

The mere thought of it made Gu Ruyi's scalp tingle with anxiety.

Chichi, acting very relaxed, entered the main hall and took a seat. He first delivered the message from Gu Yundong before recounting their journey and mentioning his intention to depart the following afternoon.

Mrs. Li could do nothing but nod in agreement. She had hoped he could stay and rest for a few more days, but upon learning he had business in the capital, she suppressed the thought.

The crates from outside were soon carried in. Gazing at the piles cluttering the floor, Mrs. Li felt quite overwhelmed. "Why did the County Master send so many things? This is truly too much..."

Chichi replied, "My mother is very fond of Cousin Ruyi. If I hadn't stopped her, a single carriage would never have been enough to hold everything."

Mrs. Li offered an embarrassed smile. Noticing the coachmen entering the room, she hurriedly invited them to have some tea.

Seeing that evening was approaching, she said quickly, "I will head to the kitchen to prepare a meal. We should eat first; we can finish our conversation later."

Chichi stood up slowly. "Then I shall trouble Auntie."

He did not address her as "Aunt," since Li Shi and Gu Fa’er had long since severed their ties through a divorce settlement.

As Mrs. Li went to the kitchen, the elder Mrs. Li followed to assist her. Father Li remained in the main room, attempting to make stiff conversation with Chichi.

He was not a man of many words, and because the young man before him was a noble's son, Father Li felt extremely out of place.

Noticing this, Gu Ruyi intervened. "Grandpa, Cousin Chichi will be staying here tonight. They can use the two rooms on the west side."

One room was intended for Chichi and Song Yan, while the other would house the two coachmen.

"Yes, of course. There is still some clutter in those rooms; I will go tidy them up right away. Ruyi, you stay here and entertain the Young Master. I will be very quick."

Father Li practically scrambled away after finishing his sentence.

Chichi couldn't help but want to laugh. Was he really that intimidating? He gestured to the two coachmen, "You two go and help him out."

Once the drivers had departed, only Gu Ruyi, Chichi, and Song Yan remained in the main hall.

Gu Ruyi whispered urgently, "Cousin, what is going on? Why did Song Yan come along? Does Uncle truly know about this?"

"He knows. My father is the one in charge of this. If he didn't know, and Brother Song Yan was missing when it's time to leave tomorrow, wouldn't that cause a massive disaster?"

That made sense.

Gu Ruyi let out a sigh of relief. "Then..."
