Inside the banquet hall.

Elder Ming advanced a few paces before halting in front of Ye Chen. With narrowed eyes and hands clasped behind his back, he projected the arrogant aura of a seasoned expert.

“Boy, do not allow yourself to become conceited simply because you have mastered a few techniques. In my perspective, you are as trivial as an ant.”

Chen Feng was consumed with joy at the sight of Elder Ming stepping in to take charge!

He was certain that this time, Ye Chen’s death was guaranteed!

To be foolish enough to provoke Elder Ming meant facing a fatal end!

“Elder Ming, I demand that this brat pays with his right arm!” Chen Feng bellowed.

Nodding, Elder Ming spoke again in his gravelly voice. “We of the Chen family require an arm from you. Do you have any final words?”

Ye Chen remained unimpressed. He responded with a freezing tone, “How tiresome! Utter one more bit of nonsense and I will ensure you are a cripple for the remainder of your life!”

His declaration echoed throughout the hall, reaching every ear. In that moment of stunned silence, many in the crowd could not help but gasp, covering their mouths in sheer disbelief.

Sighing, Elder Ming shook his head. “What an arrogant youth.”

As the final word left his lips, he vanished instantly! A violent gale suddenly began to whip through the banquet hall!

In the blink of an eye, he materialized directly before Ye Chen!

He swung his palm toward Ye Chen, the strike cutting through the air with a whistling wind as it targeted the youth’s right arm!

“Today, I shall show you the true meaning of being a frog in the well!”

“Who am I?” Ye Chen looked down with disdain at the elderly man sprawled on the floor. In that instant, his entire aura shifted. He radiated the overwhelming intensity of an unbeatable conqueror, staring down at his prey.

“I am someone you cannot afford to f*ck with!”

Ye Chen’s voice boomed through the banquet hall like a clap of thunder in a storm.

Upon hearing this reply, Elder Ming coughed up a mouthful of blood and lost consciousness immediately.

Ye Chen then shifted his attention back to the father and son of the Chen family.

“Chen Zhengguo, do you have anything else to say?”

At those words, Chen Zhengguo’s complexion turned deathly pale. Ignoring all else, he delivered a brutal kick to Chen Feng’s leg!

Chen Feng was forced onto his knees!

“Sir, it is my failing for not disciplining my son correctly! This worthless piece of garbage is yours to deal with as you see fit!”

Seeing his father abandon him so easily, Chen Feng finally understood the gravity of the situation. He desperately pleaded with Ye Chen, “I... I truly had no idea Miss Sun was your woman... I apologize! I am truly sorry!”

Ye Chen pulled a chair over and sat down, a cold smile playing on his lips as he watched Chen Feng. “What makes you think a mere apology is enough?”

Chen Feng’s heart plummeted. Realizing what he had to do, he scrambled to kneel before Sun Yi. He begged, “Miss Sun... I’m... I’m so sorry... I was wrong to be so arrogant... I never should have spoken to you that way, I... I am a b*tch. My whole family is nothing but b*tches...”

While he apologized, Chen Feng began to violently slap his own face. Born into a high-ranking family, he was an expert at adapting to survive. With Elder Ming defeated, the Chen family had lost their backbone! His only goal now was to stay alive in the presence of this monster!

Sun Yi remained in a state of shock. Watching the man who was once so haughty now kneeling at her feet, she was momentarily speechless.

After a long minute, she finally found her voice. “You... just leave,” she said, her voice shaking.

Chen Feng’s eyes lit up. He stole a glance at Ye Chen and, seeing no objection, scrambled to his feet. He hurried toward Chen Zhengguo, whispering, “Dad, let’s go. We need to get to the police station immediately. We’ll make this brat pay...”

Chen Zhengguo nodded in agreement. He didn’t want to remain there for another second; his back was soaked through with cold sweat.

Just as they turned to flee, a cold, slow voice drifted from behind them.

“Chen Zhengguo, did I give you permission to depart?”
