Mu Ziyue, Yuehan's grand-aunt, greets Qingyi and Yuehan with affection. Lingxi, Qingyi's daughter, displays jealousy towards Ziyue's attention on her father. Ziyue then inquires about Yuehan's rescue and shares a moment of melancholy remembering the past. She then introduces Qingyi and his wives to her latest spaceship creation, the Black Diamond, and leads them inside to explore.

The Black Diamond's cockpit was spacious, its interior entirely white, just like the rest of the spaceship interior.

The only exception was the enormous windshield, which loomed before them like a wall of deep black.

Their footsteps echoed softly across the immaculate floor. The air inside was cool and carried a faint, clean scent.

The moment they stepped inside, the panel lit up.

The blackness of the glass began to fade from the edges toward the center, thinning in a matter of seconds until it vanished completely and revealed the world outside.

The cabin sat just over one hundred meters behind the tip of the spacecraft, which itself stretched for about two hundred and fifty meters.

The front of the ship tapered into the perfect shape of a black sword, narrowing to a faintly silvery tip cut like a diamond.

The cabin, meanwhile, rose gently from the main fuselage in a modern, oval shape.

It must have measured four or five hundred square meters, with roughly a hundred retractable seats scattered throughout, most of them stowed away in the floor.

Qingyi walked to the front of the cabin and stopped right up against the glass. From there, he had a clear view of the ship's beautiful body stretching out before him, the black fuselage so polished it looked mirrors.

A few meters ahead, he could make out two sections of the fuselage marked by thin lines—clearly covers that could open. They likely concealed the ship's small-caliber weapons.

Further ahead, right in the center, was a larger compartment, also sealed, hiding the main armament inside.

Qingyi caught a whiff of Ziyue's scent, faint and floral, a moment before he heard her voice—sweet and understated—as she came to a stop beside him.

"Those are the small caliber weapons." She pointed to the two hatches with a delicate finger.

"They can fire up to two hundred rounds per minute, each carrying the full power of a Cosmic Emperor. One recharge of the Qi crystals that power them should be enough for about one hundred thousand shots."

She sent a faint pulse of Qi into the ship. The compartments responded instantly, the metal sliding sideways with a low hiss as two ninety-millimeter cannons rose from within the fuselage.

Each was about three meters long, its color ranging from obsidian black to gold, the hue shifting as the light played across the metal.

At that very moment, a small reticle appeared on the glass, a thin ring of pale light hovering over the empty space ahead.

The two cannons rotated a few degrees with a faint hum until they were perfectly aligned with it.

"The reticle calculates distance and trajectory on its own," Ziyue continued, leaning her hip lightly against the console, the fabric pulling snug over its curve.

"All you have to do is use your own vision to place it over a target. The cannons automatically adjust the firing angle, the power, and even the projectile velocity."

She gave a little smile, as if saving the best part for last.

"And it can also assess a cultivator's power level, adjusting the firing power accordingly—up or down."

Once she finished explaining, Ziyue held out her hand. Resting between her fingers was a small obsidian token, smooth and cold. The ship's keys.

She placed it in Qingyi's palm, her fingertips brushing his skin for a brief, cool moment.

He closed his hand around the token and infused his Qi into it.

The response came in the blink of an eye: a strange sensation of expansion, as if his mind had gained a new, enormous, metallic body.

He could feel the cold skin of the hull, the idle thrum of the engines somewhere far behind him, the Qi circulating through countless circuits like blood through veins.

Within a second, he was fully connected to the ship's central computer, feeling each system as an extension of himself.

"Ah! Dadda!" Lingxi let out an excited squeal, tugging at the hem of his shirt and pointing outside with a tiny finger.

Qingyi had just taken control of the cannons with his own Qi, and they now moved in sync with his eyes.

He tested them, sweeping his gaze from side to side.

The two cannons swiveled at once, following every flick of his eyes and locking onto whatever he focused on, a short whir accompanying each adjustment.

Lingxi burst into delighted laughter, bouncing on her toes as her wide eyes chased the cannons back and forth.

To actually fire, though, he would need the joystick in front of the pilot's seat.

It had two triggers: one for the main cannon and another for the secondary cannons.

"You're a quick learner," Ziyue said jokingly, though there was genuine surprise behind her light tone, one brow arching ever so slightly.

Qingyi had needed only a single second to fuse his Qi with the ship's.

She then turned toward the compartment directly ahead of the cockpit and gave a slight wave of her hand.

The metal slid open to the sides, and from within rose a gigantic five-hundred-millimeter Qi cannon.

It was as thick as a tree trunk and long enough to make the secondary cannons look like toys, yet it rose without making a single sound, its shadow crawling across the polished fuselage as it climbed.

Lingxi let out a long "oooh," her small mouth hanging open as her head tilted back to follow the barrel.

"This one can't be moved." Ziyue crossed her arms beneath her chest, her tone growing a little more serious. "It can fire one shot every thirty seconds, and each shot has the power to wound a mid-level Celestial Emperor."

She raised a finger.

"But it can only fire one hundred shots before the ship enters energy-saving mode. When that happens, every other combat system shuts down. Only the shields, the engines, and the life-support systems remain active.

You can use your own body as a battery in extreme cases. But I don't recommend it."

Qingyi listened to everything in silence, his eyes still fixed on the enormous cannon outside, taking in every detail.

"It truly is a beautiful and powerful spaceship." He nodded slowly, and then a faint smile tugged at his lips. "I'm afraid all the treasure I stole from the Heavenly Demon won't be enough to pay for it."

Obviously, he was exaggerating.

The ship was amazing, yes, but it still fell short of a true Celestial Emperor. And he had stolen enough resources to finance the birth of dozens of Celestial Emperors.

"Fufufu~, don't worry about the price, dear." Ziyue covered her lips with her fingers, letting out a sweet, feminine, and elegant laugh. "I owe Tianjin and little Yuehan's father many favors. I could never charge them for something like this."

She pushed away from the console and walked toward the pilot's seat,.

"Come on, take the pilot's seat. I have a space helmet that can let the little one aim and fire a few shots too." She winked at Lingxi. "She'll love it."

Lingxi's eyes went wide, her little hands clenching tighter on Qingyi's clothes as she looked up at him, as if asking whether she had really heard right.

Ziyue patted the back of the pilot's seat.

White, wide, and upholstered in something that looked comfortable just to look at, it sat on a swivel base right in the center of the cockpit.

In front of it was the joystick that controlled the ship and also housed the triggers for the weapon system. To the right sat the throttle. To the left, a digital control panel, its screen glowing a soft blue, waiting for a pilot.
