Ma Mingzhu faced the vile advances of Zhang Fei, only to be saved by the timely arrival of a mysterious young man named Qingyi. Qingyi, with his powerful infant daughter Lingxi by his side, brutally dispatched Zhang Fei in a display of shocking violence, leaving Mingzhu and the onlookers horrified.

Zhang Fei's body quickly dissolved into black ash.

A light breeze scattered the ash across the ground, leaving behind only the acrid smell of blood and a heavy silence.

Qingyi didn't even bother to spare a second glance at what was left of him.

It was a pathetic death, honestly.

Zhang Fei had wet himself, so completely overwhelmed that he couldn't even react.

For all the brutality of it, the only thing on the spectators' minds was just how pointless that death had been.

He hadn't moved his Qi, hadn't tried to flee, hadn't tried to activate a single life-saving artifact.

He had simply writhed in agony and lost all control of himself.

Slowly, Qingyi shifted his gaze. Those beautiful, ice-cold purple eyes settled on the commander of the guard.

The commander shuddered from head to toe and lowered his head at once.

Cold sweat trickled down the back of his neck, and his knees threatened to give way at any moment. He didn't dare raise his eyes, yet he could still feel that gaze pressing down on him.

"Don't worry, you're not worth my time." Qingyi smiled before glancing at the other guards. "What are you waiting for? Arrest him."

The guards didn't hesitate for even a second.

They bowed in reverence and, immediately afterward, grabbed the commander's hands, binding them behind his back.

They swiftly sealed his cultivation and wrenched the weapon from his waist.

The commander didn't say a single word, keeping his head down as his own subordinates arrested him.

He would be put on trial. And without the protection of the Zhang Family, he would pay for his crimes.

Fortunately for him, serious as those crimes were, they would only earn him a few thousand—perhaps tens of thousands—of years in prison, at most.

Of course, if Qingyi had arrived a little later and Zhang Fei had had time to harm the Divine Maiden, the story would have been quite different.

He offered no resistance as they led him away to face his superiors, where he would confess his crimes.

As for Zhang Fei's death, he didn't give it much thought.

That was a problem between Qingyi and the Zhang Family. Not his.

With what remained of Zhang Fei scattered to the wind and the blood already washed from Qingyi's hands and robes, Rouxi finally released Lingxi from her embrace.

She had kept the little girl's face buried against her soft chest throughout the whole ordeal, shielding her from the sight.

The adorable baby let out a slightly annoyed squeal, twisting her little head around until her eyes met her father's.

"DADDA!" she roared, then looked around with a confused little face.

Where was the bad man?

"Daddy got rid of the bad man, my princess…" Qingyi smiled at his daughter, and her little eyes lit up instantly.

"Yeeeeee, Dadda's tha best!" she shouted excitedly, clapping her chubby little hands.

Qingyi was about to say something when a voice stopped him.

"I'm going to speak with the Zhang Family Patriarch now, Young Lord Qingyi. They must already be aware of Zhang Fei's death." The leader of the four Golden Guards accompanying Qingyi stepped forward as he spoke.

He bowed slightly, and in the next instant, he was gone, vanishing without leaving so much as a ripple in the air.

The other three guards simply maintained their defensive positions around the group, motionless as statues.

Qingyi barely paid them any attention. He simply leaned over Lingxi, planting a tender kiss on her forehead.

"Yes, Princess, Daddy's the best," he said as Lingxi's chubby hands clutched his face, her tiny fingers squeezing his cheeks.

Her smile alone was enough to instantly dispel Qingyi's bitter mood.

Only then did he take his eyes off Lingxi's little face, letting them fall upon Ma Mingzhu.

She was truly beautiful, he had to admit. Like a porcelain doll.

Her eyes were sky blue, resembling her grandfather's. Her hair, a dark purple very close to the color of wine, had a few strands carefully pinned up in a bun secured by a silver hairpin.

The rest fell loosely down to her buttocks, while two strands cascaded down the sides of her round, delicate face, reaching almost to her waist—one on each side of her body.

Her breasts were large, comparable to Qianyao's. They weren't as massive as Isabel's, but they were still big enough that, even with both hands, Qingyi would have struggled to cover more than sixty or seventy percent of each one.

The rest of her figure was just as beautiful as her breasts and face.

Her hips were as wide as her shoulders, with a slender waist pinched between them that only made the contrast all the more pleasing to the eye.

And her legs, long and shapely, led up to a pair of thick, full thighs that pressed softly together beneath her robe—capable of making even a man like Qingyi, who had already held countless beauties in his arms, drool.

While Qingyi watched her, Lingxi was also making her own assessment.

Pretty, with beautiful thighs and very large milk jugs, even if they weren't the biggest in her collection. Well, to be more specific, the collection belonged more to her father than to her.

After a few more seconds of serious analysis, with her little eyebrows furrowed, she nodded in approval, giving the Divine Maiden a chubby little thumbs-up.

She hadn't yet delivered the final verdict of the Lingxi Seal of Quality, since she didn't know the taste of this potential new mommy's milk, but the first impression had been very positive.

Ma Mingzhu, for her part, was still trembling, unable to decide how to look at Qingyi.

Her fingers clutched the front of her robe, and every faint shiver that ran through her made the heavy swell of her chest tremble ever so slightly beneath the fabric.

She had heard a lot about him—almost all of it positive.

Her grandfather had seemed to hold a negative opinion of Qingyi at first, but that opinion had since completely changed.

Still, thinking about how eager the Cosmic Void Sect was to marry her off to Qingyi made her blush instantly, her heart filling with uncertainty and even a little fear.

He wouldn't be like Zhang Fei, would he?

Then her gaze drifted down to the little girl, who was still holding up that chubby thumb in her direction.

That adorable gesture from Lingxi made her heart flutter and her cheeks turn a rosy shade.

How could such an adorable little thing even exist?
