Qingyi playfully teases Yuehan before joining his family and companions. He spends time with his daughter Lingxi and the women in his life, including Aeryn, Rouxi, Xia Yunfei, and Qin Yueli. Meanwhile, Tianjin receives a troubling message from demonic forces.

The last competition between the demonic and orthodox forces had ended in a veritable massacre, leaving a trail of fallen geniuses in its wake.

Even so, it had been an organized event, with judges, observers, and strict rules meant to keep the chaos in check.

The main reason for such a staggering death toll was simple: the stubborn refusal of the young geniuses on both sides to surrender.

Virtually every battle became a fight to the death, each combatant pouring out everything they had, often without allowing the judges even a moment to intervene.

The orthodox faction had suffered more defeats, but even the demonic side had seen dozens of unparalleled geniuses fall during that event.

Many had commented that this was the central reason they had suffered so heavily from Long Wujin's descent into madness.

After all, they had lost nearly half an entire generation of great geniuses only a few tens of thousands of years before the war.

Of course, Tianjin didn't believe those lost geniuses would have made much of a difference, but that mattered little now.

His face wore a stern expression, eyes fixed on the letter as his fingers clenched lightly around the paper.

This was no simple proposal for an organized duel between the demonic and orthodox forces.

In truth, it was an invitation to a planned planetary war between the younger generations of both sides.

Such an arrangement was a common practice among sects that possessed absurdly powerful members and preferred to resolve their disputes indirectly, avoiding large-scale destruction.

The matter would be settled by the younger generation in a brutal yet controlled battle, sparing the celestial emperors from ever setting foot on the field.

It was a good way to resolve problems, since the destructiveness of the fighting was drastically reduced by holding it on a planet where the laws of heaven were extraordinarily powerful.

There was just one problem.

As much as it was a good solution for preventing devastating wars, it was also the perfect scenario for assassinating geniuses from rival factions.

Because of this, such disputes generally only took place between sects whose relations had not yet soured to the point of desiring one another's destruction.

Ultimately, the goal was to win a dispute, not to sow unnecessary death.

Among opposing factions poisoned by deep hatred, however, such competitions inevitably turned into true bloodbaths.

"Has he already announced this publicly?" Tianjin asked, his face darkening.

"Yes, Alliance Master. All our diplomatic channels have been flooded with these requests. The news is already spreading," the elder replied, keeping his head slightly bowed.

"Ah…" Tianjin sighed heavily, massaging his temples with two fingers.

If he accepted, he would be walking straight into the Heavenly Demon's trap; that wretch would never send such a proposal without a carefully orchestrated plan already in motion.

If he refused, however, the news would spread throughout the orthodox world and be interpreted as a clear sign of weakness and cowardice.

The humiliating defeat they had suffered last time only worsened the situation, since refusing now would mean discarding the chance to restore the honor of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance.

For the more conservative Orthodox forces, such a decision would be a terrible disgrace, a stain that would linger for ages.

"Accept their proposal and make all the arrangements. We will fight," Tianjin declared.

His voice carried a steadfast dignity, but his eyes gleamed with raw murderous intent.

As the elder withdrew with a silent bow, Tianjin spread his Qi throughout the palace and soon noticed something curious: Qingyi had emerged from his cultivation seclusion, and his aura was far more powerful than before!

Tianjin's eyes gleamed with anticipation, and in the very next instant he vanished, teleporting away without hesitation.

Meanwhile, at the southernmost frontier of the Celestial Heavens, facing toward the Primordial Void—also known as the End of the Heavens—a demonic figure stood motionless, as still as a statue.

That was a forbidden region, infested with beasts of chaos that even a being of the Heavenly Demon's caliber had reason to fear.

Once, a group of five hundred demonic celestial emperors had organized an expedition in an attempt to subdue the place.

None of them returned alive.

The region was extraordinarily rich in resources, but with a survival rate of less than 0.0001%, such riches meant little to those foolish enough to seek them.

Among the very few beings who had ever returned from there was, in fact, the Heavenly Demon himself.

He had not obtained great rewards from that expedition, yet among his spoils was a small, seemingly insignificant token.

This time, the Heavenly Demon had evaded every one of the countless beasts prowling that region and reached its southernmost point unscathed, without so much as a scratch on his body.

His eyes—with sclera as black as pitch and pupils a brilliant crimson red—remained fixed on a gigantic black steel gate that stood before him, imposing and ancient.

"Have you finally arrived? Very well. Come closer and touch this gate. I will grant you the power you so desire," a deep voice echoed directly into the Heavenly Demon's ears.

He did not hesitate. Stepping forward at once, he pressed his palm flat against the gate, the icy chill of the black steel seeping into his skin.

In the very next moment, powerless to resist, he felt his soul violently torn from his body, his vision warping and dissolving before reforming into something else entirely.

Warm water lapped gently at his feet, and before him loomed a gigantic cell. Within its depths there was no discernible figure, only a pair of cold, piercing blue eyes fixed unblinkingly upon him.

The Heavenly Demon felt his legs give way, every ounce of strength draining from his body in a single instant.

That was...

"Who the hell are you?" he asked in utter shock, his voice faltering.

The voice from within the cell let out a dry laugh.

"I am the first sin.

I am the first evil.

I am the first betrayal.

I am the first child of the great creator.

I am the blade that tore its heart apart.

I am... doom."

The entire region trembled as a powerful wave of dark energy surged toward the Heavenly Demon's body—a power so terrifying that he had never even dreamed of attaining it in his entire existence.

"Accept my power, child. Let us bring death to this wretched world. Let us kill the child destined to inherit my father's power."

The True Evil had awakened.
