Qingyi successfully infiltrated the demonic realm's Black Palace and its vault. He retrieved a jade coffin and numerous valuable artifacts, including a jar of severed fingers that belonged to Rou'er's mother, fueling his rage. However, his theft was discovered almost immediately, and the enraged Heavenly Demon unleashed his power, causing widespread destruction and swallowing the spaceship's crew. Qingyi managed to escape with the coffin, but the situation is dire.

The Heavenly Demon was more than just a tyrant and schemer.

Above all else, he was an actual ruler.

At this very moment, he sat upon his throne of black bones, receiving numerous guests from every corner of the demonic realm. He was the supreme judge of countless matters.

Disputes between sects, trade agreements, wars between nations, laws governing contact between mortal demons and cultivating demons… All of that, and much more, fell within the scope of his governance.

It was an ordinary day, and he listened with bored patience as two vassal demonic nations argued over control of a spiritual mining planet.

The trial was nearing its end, and the Heavenly Demon was about to declare which of the two would claim the planet.

His lips parted, but no words came out.

His eyes—with black sclera and bright red pupils—shuddered violently, and he suddenly rose from his throne.

His gigantic figure, with gray skin and long black horns, exuded such brutal pressure that everyone present collapsed to their knees, bodies trembling against the polished obsidian floor.

The vassals thought they had said something to anger their sovereign, but that was not the case.

The Heavenly Demon slowly turned his face, and in the next moment, vanished from the hall without leaving a trace.

When he reappeared, he stood inside a gigantic vault embedded in the deepest recesses of his palace.

Once filled with riches piled up to the ceiling, the chamber was now empty, silent, and hollow.

The Heavenly Demon felt his heart sink, one hand rising to his chest as if trying to hold back something that was shattering inside.

"No… no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!!!"

He repeated the word over and over, each utterance louder than the last, until the final one twisted into a bestial roar that echoed off the vault's walls.

He ignored it all.

All that fortune—the accumulation of millions of years—stolen in a single instant—didn't even cause his heart to flutter.

His gaze locked on the black steel door at the back of the vault, and he could not tear it away.

His pupils trembled uncontrollably, and in his mind, only one thought hammered away ceaselessly: 'That couldn't be possible… how could that be possible?'

His teeth ground against one another as he closed the distance to the door, passing straight through it in a single second.

When he saw the interior of that circular chamber, completely empty, he could take it no longer.

The Heavenly Demon, one of the most powerful experts in all of the celestial heavens, lost control.

His lips parted in a terrifying roar, and every defensive array of the black palace activated at once, glowing desperately to prevent the entire place from collapsing under the weight of his fury.

He didn't care about the trillions in stolen Qi crystals, nor about all those treasures that an ordinary sect would spend ages accumulating.

He was old. About twenty million years, to be exact.

He had walked the Land of the True Gods and fought side by side with a Primordial Empress. His ancestral sword, alone, was worth more than all the wealth of the entire celestial realm combined.

To him, that wealth was insignificant. But there was something in that chamber that was not.

His memories, his trophies, his future wives.

That—he could not accept losing.

The Heavenly Demon's body vanished, reappearing outside the black palace, his divine senses spreading ceaselessly in all directions, sweeping the cosmos in search of any trace.

Where… where was it?

His face was so contorted with rage that it resembled that of a wild beast, gliding through the cosmos in search of the slightest clue.

He found only one trail and followed it relentlessly, his oppressive aura descending upon a cluster of asteroids right on the border separating the central region of his empire from the rest of the demonic territory.

The next moment, that aura vanished completely. After that, nothing.

The Heavenly Demon scoured every inch of the region but found no sign whatsoever, except for a faint remnant of Qi permeating a collapsed asteroid—a trail that led directly to the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance.

He did not hesitate.

His body shot forward at blinding speed, tearing through the cosmos like a blade cuts through fabric, stars and planets swept into nothingness in his wake.

He would kill those swine, every last one of them!

Even for a Celestial Emperor, traversing such a vast distance in such a short time was an almost impossible feat.

But the Heavenly Demon was no ordinary Celestial Emperor.

The very space around him collapsed as he moved, a black, bloodstained sword materializing in his hands, pulsing with hunger.

At this moment, he wanted nothing more than to kill.

He wanted only to wrest an explanation from those pigs of the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance, even if it meant making them scream for it.

The Heavenly Demon reached the border between the demonic world and the orthodox world in a blink.

A single swing of his sword there, and hundreds of billions of lives would be wiped out across all the star systems surrounding him.

He stopped, raising his sword above his head, his immense body floating imposingly in the cosmic void, his aura staining the nearby stars a sickly red.

"Die."

His sword came crashing down.

That was a dangerous attack, and it would most certainly start a war. A war in which he would be at a disadvantage, now that he had lost all the treasures from his vault.

He didn't care.

He just wanted to kill as many humans as possible.

From his blade, a black, crescent-shaped slash expanded outward, rapidly reaching hundreds of millions of kilometers and continuing to grow, devouring everything in its path.

In the instant following his attack, however, the frenzied smile brimming with rage on his face faded, giving way to an expression as cold as the Void itself.

A golden spear tore through the Void, colliding head-on with his attack and shattering it into countless fragments of golden light that scattered across space.

"Heavenly Demon… what does this mean? Did you lose something in our lands?"

Tianjin's figure slowly emerged from the void, his hands elegantly clasped behind his back, his face adorned with a polite smile.
