Qingyi was successfully extracted from the alliance with Ruxue's master. His escort team transformed their ship and themselves into stealth mode for the journey. After traveling for hours, they reached the border of the demonic world and docked on an asteroid near the Black Palace. Qingyi prepared to teleport to the target to retrieve the young lady.

Qingyi focused his mind to the utmost, each thought narrowing into a single thread of absolute concentration.

The Black Palace stood at the heart of the demonic realm, just as the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance stood at the center of the orthodox realm.

And just as the orthodox world was home to countless sects and empires, the demonic realm had its own demonic sects, nations, and the seventy-two Lords, each of whom was a powerful Celestial Emperor in his own right.

He had to be extremely careful. A single one of them sensing his presence would be enough to end everything.

After nearly thirty seconds of extending his perception throughout the cosmos, he finally managed to pinpoint the exact location of the Black Palace in space.

It hadn't been easy.

The palace was protected by numerous arrays designed precisely to prevent that kind of probing—layers upon layers of spatial defenses capable of scrambling the perception of any ordinary cultivator.

Fortunately, with his absurd spatial affinity, he was likely already one of the most skilled spatial cultivators to ever set foot in the Celestial Heaven.

Even the Celestial Emperor of Space, at the height of his power, would be no match for him given his current level of affinity.

'It's now or never…'

He fixed his senses on the exact position where the demon's vault should be, then slowly raised his hand.

A black rift followed the motion of his fingers, the world around him trembling as space itself warped and folded inward.

Gritting his teeth, he tore the rift wide open and threw himself into it without a second thought.

The change in environment was immediate.

The density of the demonic Qi around him surged dramatically, weighing down on his skin like a viscous, suffocating film that clung to every pore.

It was nothing like the natural demonic Qi of the Celestial Heaven, much less like the kind Ruyan and Akane cultivated.

This was a dense, putrid Qi, corrupted to its very core, completely strayed from the True Path of the Demon that Akane had forged.

Qingyi's feet touched the cold stone floor, and his eyes swept the surroundings in a single glance.

He stood in a colossal chamber, as vast as the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance's own vault.

The place held not only countless demonic artifacts and trillions in spirit crystals, but also relics that had once belonged to orthodox cultivators—trophies seized during the many wars and clashes between the two factions.

Those items were priceless, and the fact that they now rested in the hands of demons was a source of great shame for the Celestial Orthodox Martial Alliance.

He ignored them all, his gaze locked on a black iron door at the back of the room.

As he moved, he placed spatial marks on every item that passed through his senses.

Once he left this place, the entire vault would be emptied directly into the more than one hundred spatial rings hidden within his robes.

He could only hope they would be enough. Even if they weren't, the damage to the Heavenly Demon's finances would still be devastating.

Qingyi couldn't afford to dwell on it. Time was running out.

By his calculations, he had thirty seconds before the Heavenly Demon noticed his presence.

Channeling his Qi to propel himself forward, he reached the black door in just two seconds.

Without hesitation, he teleported to the other side.

It was a circular room, with a jade coffin resting right in the center.

The coffin caught his attention, but only for a single moment.

His eyes fell upon a beautiful red dress, and right beside it, a jar filled with severed fingers.

Qingyi shuddered, bringing a hand to his chest as he fought back the bile rising in his throat.

He recognized the lingering aura of the dress. He also recognized the ring on one of the fingers preserved inside the jar.

It was the same ring that Long Wujin's wife—Rou'er's mother—had worn on the day he saw her in the memories.

A hatred he simply could not contain surged through him, every fiber of his being filling with fury.

He had heard the story before. To prevent herself from being violated by the Heavenly Demon, Rou'er's mother had blown up her own body, ensuring that nothing of her remained for that monster to touch.

Unfortunately, the fingers had remained, taken by that filthy pig as a trophy.

Suppressing the rage and disgust churning inside him at the sight of his mother-in-law's fingers, he forced himself to keep moving.

He reached toward the jade coffin and, with the same gesture, placed spatial marks on every remaining item in the room.

In the very next instant, he opened a spatial rift around himself.

Simultaneously, every item in that vault was enveloped by its own rift, sucked directly into Qingyi's many space rings.

Kilometers upon kilometers of shelves laden with treasures, accumulated over millions of years, vanished in the blink of an eye.

His body dissolved into the rift, and with it, absolutely everything else.

In the Black Palace's vault, only empty shelves remained, a ghostly stillness settling over the vast hall.

Qingyi closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them again, he was already back on the spaceship, the jade coffin floating beside him.

Although technically instantaneous, when traversing such great distances, his spatial leap took a few seconds to complete.

That journey from the Black Palace to the spaceship had taken a total of forty-five seconds, which meant the Heavenly Demon was already aware of what had happened.

Soon, his aura would explode across the cosmos.

Qingyi didn't hesitate, shouting at the top of his lungs.

"Use the talisman I gave you—now! We must have only a few seconds before the Heavenly Demon—"

He couldn't finish his words, for in the very next instant, the entire cosmos shook.

"Shit…"

He gritted his teeth, and just as the pilot managed to tear open the token, the space around them collapsed completely.

The fury of a peak Celestial Emperor was a truly terrifying thing, and everything around the Black Palace began to crumble.

Stars disintegrated. Planets were swept away like dust in the wind.

Something was moving through the cosmos toward the central region, and this thing was enraged to the extreme.

Qingyi was hurled backward, while the ship's entire crew was swallowed whole by a massive spatial rift.

Blood rose in his throat, and for a single second, he felt that dreadful aura bear down upon him with crushing weight.

He knew that if he hesitated for even an instant, he would be dead.

At that moment, the young dragon no longer held back, clutching the jade coffin tightly against his chest as he tried to teleport as far from the Black Palace as possible.
