Qingyi's actions in defense of his unborn child have swayed many elders, and his fame grows. He reveals that the spear used was Auranys', who is one of his wives. Tianjin is shocked by this revelation but accepts it, also learning the child's mother is Rouxi. As they discuss the celestial court and a powerful faction from above who seek children of destiny, the cry of a newborn echoes from the pavilion.

Qingyi slowly rose to his feet, eyes falling shut as a faint tremor coursed through his fingertips.

It was a child's cry. Unmistakable. His child.

Tianjin remained where he was, a carefree expression on his face and a casual smile playing at his lips, his golden horns glinting in the afternoon light.

"Better get going. My wife was furious because I took too long to go see little Qianyao," he remarked, taking another sip of his liquor.

"I'll get everything ready to welcome the child. The birth of a Child of Destiny in the Martial Alliance is something the entire Central Region should celebrate!" Tianjin rose unhurriedly, his robes settling around him.

Many Celestial Emperors still surrounded Qingyi's pavilion, and those from external factions—present at the alliance as guests—were already reaching out to their own sects to prepare gifts.

It was customary for them to send a variety of offerings to the newly born great geniuses—a way to help the family nurture the child's talent and, above all, to demonstrate goodwill.

Qingyi nodded silently and made his way to the main door of his pavilion.

He pushed it open with care and stepped into the main hall.

The room was shrouded in silence. The only thing he could hear was the child's soft cry mingling with the muffled sound of his own footsteps, echoing as he approached the master bedroom.

Two female disciples of the Elder of the Eternal Life Sect stood guard at the door. The moment they sensed Qingyi's presence, they immediately stepped aside, bowing in respect.

Qingyi pushed open the bedroom door.

Inside, all of his wives had gathered around the bed.

Fortunately, the room was immense, so their presence caused no inconvenience.

The Elder of the Eternal Life Sect, who had presided over the delivery with Celestia's assistance, sat in a corner of the room, visibly exhausted after having drained a considerable amount of her Qi.

Rouxi was still lying on the bed. Even as a Star Sovereign, giving birth had consumed a significant portion of her Qi.

Naturally, unlike a mortal woman, her recovery would be almost instantaneous.

In a few minutes, she would regain all her vital energy, and in no more than an hour or two, her body would once again be that of a virgin.

Rouxi wore a gentle, tender smile on her lips. Against her chest, held with infinite care and wrapped in silk fabrics so precious they could buy entire mortal cities, lay a child.

Qingyi approached the bed in silence, struggling to steady the heart pounding erratically within his chest.

It was a little girl.

As the daughter of a Star Sovereign, her development far surpassed that of any mortal baby her age.

Her hair was black like her father's, interspersed with a few greenish strands—a clear inheritance from her mother. Small horns, not yet fully formed, were beginning to sprout from her little head, faintly whitish and still soft to the touch.

Her face was chubby and round, with adorable cheeks and soft pink lips.

When she opened her eyes—purple like her father's, and even more beautiful—her crying ceased completely.

She gazed at the man standing beside the bed, who watched her with a love that seemed to know no bounds.

Chubby little fingers shot up into the air, reaching toward Qingyi's face.

He didn't hesitate. Kneeling down beside the bed, he offered his face so she could reach it.

She touched his cheek, her soft fingers exploring his skin before slowly climbing upward until they found one of his horns.

Closing her tiny fingers around the base with surprising strength, she let out a crystal-clear laugh.

That sound, sweet and adorable, warmed the hearts of all the women present.

"Long Lingxi…" Rouxi murmured. "What do you think?"

"The dragon soul that brings the first light of day…" Qingyi repeated, turning his daughter's name into poetry.

A beautiful name, worthy of her.

It was for her that he had dispelled those dark clouds. And it was for her, too, that the sun that day bathed the world in its light.

"You are the first light… My most precious light." Qingyi flashed a huge smile, bringing his face close to his daughter's and gently pressing his forehead against hers.

Little Lingxi laughed again, her small fingers clenching tightly around her father's black hair and tugging gently at it.

The other women remained silent, simply watching the scene with smiles full of maternal love, wondering when their own turn would come.

Not all of them wanted children, but those who did now found themselves even more excited by the idea.

"Would you like to rest a little?" Qingyi asked Rouxi, slowly stepping back as he slid his hand up to his daughter's cheek, his open palm—full of tenderness—gently pressing against her.

"Yes…" Rouxi nodded. "A few hours of sleep would be nice, hahaha." She let out a faint laugh.

Lingxi felt the warmth of her father's palm and immediately shook her head, trying to press her tiny face harder against his hand, a soft, complaining sound escaping her lips.

Of course, such attention was short-lived, for soon Rouxi bared her breast, guiding Lingxi's lips to one of her nipples.

Qingyi let out an amused chuckle as he watched his little daughter cling hungrily to her mother's breast.

He didn't disturb her any further.

Lingxi was his daughter, a bearer of his bloodline, and her strength, if measured, would be no less than that of an adult mortal—even though she couldn't yet speak.

Still, a newborn was a newborn.

She needed to feed a lot, and to rest even more.

It took no more than five minutes for the exhaustion of childbirth to overcome her. Soon she fell asleep, her lips still delicately clinging to her mother's nipple.

Rouxi shifted her gently, wiping the thin stream of milk trickling from the corner of the little one's mouth with a handkerchief before settling her firmly against her breast.

Normally, among mortals, the child would be placed in a crib due to the risk of accidental suffocation.

But since Rouxi was a Star Sovereign, even while asleep her spiritual perception remained alert, and her body would never make any involuntary movement that could harm her daughter.

With Rouxi's spiritual perception constantly enveloping Lingxi, there was no safer place in the world for the newborn than her mother's arms.
