Qingyi defeats Xuanyu, crushing his skull and allowing his soul to flee. Qingyi then uses a fiery spear to shatter the dark clouds, revealing a bright sun. He retrieves Xuanyu's transformed spear and begins repairing the damaged surroundings. As Celestial Emperors arrive, Qingyi relaxes, having secured the area for Feiyue's upcoming birth.

Until then, some elders of the Beast People had opposed Qingyi's clan, arguing that, as the heir to that profane power, he should be executed.

Seeing him act with such absolute ferocity in defense of his own unborn child had ended up changing many of those opinions—at least among the more simple-minded, who, ironically, were also the most powerful of the twenty Celestial Emperors of the Beast People present there.

Qingyi's fame was about to skyrocket once again, this time to levels never seen before.

He looked out over the many gathered Celestial Emperors, his gaze cold and devoid of any emotion, before nodding slightly.

"It's Auranys' spear. Do you know who she is?"

Tianjin scratched his chin thoughtfully, his eyes narrowing as he searched his memory.

"Oh… Yes! There are countless records about her in the Alliance Leader's Lost Library, one of the most secret book collections in all of Celestial Heaven."

Normally, merely mentioning the existence of that library was a crime punishable by death.

But Tianjin had come to view Qingyi almost as a son, and he simply couldn't help himself.

Besides, who would punish him, the supreme authority?

"She's alive. And she's one of my wives."

Tianjin nearly choked, his eyes widening for a split second before he regained his composure.

"Your… wife?"

"Yes."

"…"

Tianjin had already recognized that cultivation technique of Qingyi's, but he had remained silent about it.

It was an incredible technique, worthy of the most talented young man who had ever set foot in the Celestial Heavens. That, he could accept.

But having Auranys as a wife?

He had already read a great deal about her in the Martial Alliance's most secret records; he knew full well who she was, and he was more than familiar with her personality.

That was far too absurd, far too unfair!

Well, Tianjin really wasn't the type to dwell on such things, so he simply smiled bitterly, letting the thought fade away.

Other men, however, would be drooling with envy.

"The child…"

"It's Rouxi's—an elder of the Cosmic Dawn Sect."

"I see." Tianjin sighed, his face breaking into a genuine smile.

"And when will I get to hold my own little grandchild in my arms? It's impossible that, with your talent and Qianyao's, you wouldn't be able to father a child of destiny as well! With your luck, two in a row are entirely possible."

"Ah… how could I call myself a man if I can't even guarantee that for my own children? Let more of those celestial cuckold generals come!"

Tianjin merely laughed, shaking his head.

The two descended together to the pavilion's courtyard.

There, they settled beneath a cherry tree, on a bench carved from spirit wood. Pink petals drifted down around them, carried by a gentle, fragrant breeze that whispered through the branches above.

In the Celestial Realm, there was an old saying: the birth of a child was no place for a man.

Some spoke of the impurity of the blood of birth, which could taint the soul; others, of ancient cultural ceremonies dating back to forgotten eras.

Most of it, of course, was nonsense, but in the end, this was a traditional and conservative world.

His wives probably preferred it that way as well. Besides, they were being assisted by one of the most renowned midwives in the entire Celestial Region, so Qingyi did not insist on watching the birth.

"Was she the one who helped deliver Qianyao?" Qingyi asked, curiosity tinging his voice.

"The Grand Elder of the Eternal Life Sect? Yes. She's very reliable—and, well, a bit expensive, too. She's often booked months in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly."

Tianjin paused briefly before continuing.

"She owes me a favor, which is why she's here. I'll use it to pay her back."

Well, he highly doubted she'd actually charge for something like this.

Once, she had even paid to participate in the birth of a child whom many believed to be a child of destiny.

The family refused, and in the end, the child was born disabled. A pity—something that left her quite depressed for many years.

Now, being present for the birth of a child of destiny—something many saw as a blessing from the heavens—should make her more than happy.

"Do you know what the Celestial Court truly is?"

"I have some idea." Tianjin nodded, his fingers tapping lightly against the wood of the bench.

"My father told me that my grandfather used to talk about them—a power from the plane above ours, a place of unparalleled might. Wujin also told me about them during Rou'er's birth, when they tried to take her."

"He didn't say much, but I saw the entire battle. The fight was… well… miserable. They seemed to know Wujin very well and to fear him, just as Wujin seemed to harbor a deep hatred for them."

Tianjin reached into his spatial ring, pulling out a bottle of liquor.

The sweet, fiery aroma of spiritual alcohol wafted through the air.

"They found a way to connect to the Heavens of the Celestial Heaven, take the child who served as its heart, and ensure that everything was under their control."

"Of course, the price of that connection is astronomical, but compared to the value of a child of destiny, it's minuscule."

"After that, they'll probably have to wait a few years before they can descend into the Celestial Heaven again, but when they do, they won't just send a single celestial general."

"It doesn't matter." Qingyi shook his head, an icy glint flashing in his eyes. "Honestly, I'll already be in the Land of the True Gods by the time they get here again."

"If I'm not there yet, let them come. The others won't receive as much mercy as Xuanyu did."

Tianjin said nothing, merely taking a long swig of liquor, letting the silence hang heavy between them for a moment.

"They're a very ancient faction, and I've already discussed them with the Heavenly Demon during a battle. He knew them well, so the Primordial Demon Empress probably knows them just as well. When you meet her, she'll likely be able to tell you more."

Qingyi merely nodded silently, his eyes fixed on his pavilion.

For quite some time, the two continued to chat casually.

They talked about his life on Earth—which left Tianjin visibly shocked—and his Ascension through both the Mortal and Immortal Realms, before moving on to topics from Tianjin's own life, especially about Qianyao when she was still a little girl.

In the end, they had to cut the conversation short. From within the pavilion, the sharp cry of a newborn pierced the air, ringing clearly across the courtyard.
