Supreme Lord: I can extract everything! Chapter 1121: Supreme Lord III

Michael and Alice observed their daughter Lucia as she embraced independence, journeying into the Origin Expanse with friends in pursuit of excitement and challenges. Despite their initial concerns, they recognized Lucia’s drive to create her own path, even as her decisions occasionally led to missteps. Meanwhile, Hiraku’s joyful family life was highlighted by ongoing celebrations and growing numbers of children. In a broader scope, Michael reflected on the unique potential of his own relationship with Alice, contemplating the challenges of parenthood amid their powerful existences, as friends in the Tritan Alliance faced their own dilemmas about the future.

Kaleb was undoubtedly the most difficult person to manage among their friends and family. While he technically didn't require constant supervision, Kaleb Zenovia remained hopelessly infatuated with Tiara. If his feelings had been a simple crush, it wouldn't have been an issue; however, Kaleb’s devotion ran much deeper. He was profoundly in love with her, possessing enough resolve to persist despite being shot down hundreds of times.

Neither Michael nor Alice could track exactly how many times Tiara had turned Kaleb down at this point.

Looking at the images of her brother and parents, Alice let out a heavy sigh. "I expected Mother to beat some sense into him, but his stubbornness seems to have increased tenfold. It looks like even Mother can't control that brat anymore."

"Well, the man is in love," Michael replied, shrugging his shoulders when Alice shot him a sharp look. "It isn't his fault for falling for Tiara, just as it isn't Tiara's fault that she can't accept his feelings."

"Can't? Don't you mean she doesn't want to?" Tiara corrected her partner. Michael shook his head in disagreement. "I've discussed this with Tiara several times before. I was curious about her perspective on Kaleb and why she hadn't simply thrashed him for his relentless pursuit. Don't give me that look—Tiara has beaten up far more people than you realize. Most of those suitors only asked her out twice, or maybe three times if she was feeling particularly patient."

"So..." Alice tilted her head curiously, "Are you suggesting Tiara actually likes Kaleb? What exactly did she tell you?"

Michael sighed, "Tiara admitted she likes Kaleb, but she doesn't believe their relationship can ever be more than a friendship. They are still in contact even now. She is holding out hope that Kaleb will eventually realize he's mistaken about his feelings, while Kaleb remains convinced their bond is something deeper."

"And what is your take on it?" Alice asked.

"I believe Tiara is far too consumed by her duties to the Silverfangs to contemplate romance, let alone starting a family with someone. She avoids thinking about Kaleb or what 'might' happen if she gave him a chance because she simply cannot handle that burden right now. Tiara believes her entire existence is dedicated to her people. That is the reason she rejects everyone," He sighed deeply. "But once the Silverfangs establish a solid Foundation in Tiagro and the Origin Expanse... who can say? Perhaps Kaleb will finally pierce her defenses if he stays the course... or perhaps the whole thing will just crumble."

A visible sadness clouded Alice’s eyes. She hated seeing her brother suffer, yet she knew she was powerless to change the situation. Any interference on her part might ruin everything Kaleb was striving for, and that was a risk she wasn't willing to take. She nodded slowly, exhaling a long breath.

"So you want to stay out of it and just let them be?" Alice questioned, receiving a nod from Michael.

"If I could, I would have brought them together already, but I'm afraid that forcing it would destroy their bond entirely. We have to leave them to their own devices and watch from the sidelines, regardless of how painful it is."

Alice found that answer deeply unsatisfying. However, she wasn't so naive as to think a few simple words could fix everything. Tiara was shackled by too many responsibilities, which kept her from exploring her true emotions. Whether she loved Kaleb or not was something only time would reveal.

Alice was certain Kaleb wouldn't give up easily, but after more than a hundred rejections, even the strongest feelings would eventually begin to fray.

Only time would determine if Kaleb and Tiara shared a destiny or if it was all just an impossible dream.

"Let's drop the subject. Kaleb is an adult and can make his own choices," Alice concluded. Taking the hint, Michael moved to change the topic.

He swiped through the images on the liquid mirror, shifting his focus to individuals he hadn't seen in ages—people who had once been significant in his life before their paths diverged.

Zeke Lavita appeared first. Much like Frederik, Jacqueline, and Kaleb, Zeke had returned to the Tritan Alliance a long time ago. It was heartening to see Zeke with his family, spending time with Lincoln’s kin. In fact, the two families had essentially merged. Zeke Lavita had married Lincoln’s younger sister, a union born of both love and the strategic merging of the Piedra and Lavita families.

Zeke and Lincoln’s sister had bonded through their shared grief over Lincoln’s passing. What started as a few hours of mutual comfort eventually turned into days, then weeks and months. Their love blossomed, leading to a marriage within a year and the birth of a son less than nine months later.

Although Zeke remained an Awakened, he no longer prioritized Cultivation or gaining power. He dedicated his time to his wife, savoring every moment of his life. He accepted that he might pass away in a few centuries without focused Cultivation, but he didn't care. Not everyone craved immortality; for him, a lifetime together was enough.

Michael didn't resent his own immortality since he had Alice by his side, but he respected Zeke’s outlook. Zeke cherished each day more than an immortal might, knowing his time was finite.

Even Gods could live forever yet be slain in an instant. What was the point of working for centuries to grow stronger if one never actually lived a real life before dying?

That was a fate Zeke was determined to avoid.

Fortunately, Michael didn't have such concerns. He and Alice were immortal, their future secure. He looked forward to their bright path ahead, enjoying every single day.

Watching his friends find their happiness was, for him, the most rewarding part of it all.
