Haven’t eaten yet.
Ethan Barnes felt a sense of relief in his heart.
About to eat.
Ethan’s heart tightened again; she actually planned to take the abortion pills.
Didn’t terminate the child in the hospital, so she is going to take the pills, right?
Ethan stepped forward, grabbing her smooth, fragrant shoulders, the veins on his forehead bulging, “Celeste Linden, why can’t you accept this child? What do I have to do to beg you to keep this baby?”
He was exerting great force, gripping her shoulders tightly, as if trying to crush her bones. Celeste furrowed her brows, “Ethan, let go, you’re hurting me.”
“You’re in pain, but do you know how much pain I’m in? Celeste Linden, speak up, what do I have to do for you to keep this child?” His handsome brow was filled with restrained anger and terrifying gloom.
Celeste didn’t understand what he was talking about; she had no intention of terminating the child, she planned to keep it.
“Ethan, let go!”
She forcefully pushed him away.
The bottle of pills dropped to the ground, and all the pills spilled out.
Outside, Danielle heard the commotion and quickly ran in, “Daddy, Mommy, what are you doing?”
Seeing their daughter, Ethan could only retract his near-breaking emotions, and at this moment, Celeste closed her eyes, and her delicate figure fell directly down.
“Celeste!” Ethan exclaimed, quickly catching her in his arms.
“Celeste! Celeste!”
Celeste fainted.
…
In the hospital.
Celeste lay on the hospital bed, Ethan, emotionally charged, grabbed the doctor’s collar, “How is my wife? Why did she faint out of the blue?”
“Don’t get agitated. The patient is not in critical condition; she and the baby in her womb are both safe. The reason she fainted is due to significant emotional fluctuations, leading to accumulated stress.”
“During early pregnancy, mothers must maintain a happy mood and take good care of the fetus, or it could pose risks to both themselves and the baby. This fainting episode serves as a warning to you.”
Ethan slowly released the doctor. He entered the room, looking at the sleeping Celeste.
During these two months of pregnancy, she had actually become rather thin. Now she lay there vulnerable, eliciting immense pity.
“Daddy, is Mommy sick? I don’t want Mommy to be sick.” Danielle gently kissed Celeste’s face, filled with worry.
Ethan reached out to gently touch Danielle’s head, “Your mommy is fine, I won’t let anything happen to her.”
Now he was filled with guilt; despite her being pregnant, he had still lost his temper with her.
No matter what she did, he shouldn’t have been harsh with her.
This was all his fault.
Ethan gazed at Celeste’s sleeping face, his heart wracked with pain. Celeste, what am I supposed to do with you?
…
Celeste woke up, staring blankly at the ceiling for a moment before realizing she was at the hospital; her hand was being held. She turned her head and saw Ethan.
Ethan was asleep, leaning on her bedside.
He had been watching over her all this time.
Just then, Ethan woke up, “Celeste, you’re awake. Is there anywhere you feel uncomfortable? I’ll get the doctor.”
“No need, I’m fine. Where’s Danielle?”
“Danielle went home with Mrs. Zhou to sleep.”
Celeste felt relieved.
Ethan tightened his grip on her hand and said hoarsely, “Celeste, I’ve thought it over, and I’ll agree to your request.”
Celeste was confused, “What?”
Ethan looked deeply into her eyes, “Celeste, let’s get a divorce.”
