Why is he calling back?
Willow Crawford answered the call, "Hey, honey, what’s up? Did you get on the plane?"
Morgan Ashworth said, "I haven’t boarded yet. I’ve suddenly decided against wearing a black coat. Could you bring me the blue coat from home?"
Huh?
Willow had never really thought he was so concerned about his appearance. "Sure, I’ll bring it over now."
"Bring our son along too."
Willow glanced at the little bundle of joy. "Why bring our son along?"
"Is it wrong for me to miss our son?"
"Alright then, I’ll be there soon."
Willow returned to the room to grab the specified blue coat and held her son’s little hand. "Joy, let’s go. We’re heading to the airport to deliver clothes to Daddy."
"Yay yay!" the little bundle of joy exclaimed happily.
Willow and her son arrived at the airport, and from afar, she spotted Morgan Ashworth’s tall and handsome figure and ran over. "Honey."
Morgan turned and looked at her. "You’re here?"
Willow handed him the blue coat, "Honey, here you go."
Morgan reached out, but instead of taking the coat, he held her soft little hand. "Let’s go together."
"Go together?" Willow blinked curiously. "Where to?"
"Join me on the business trip."
So that was what this coat delivery was really about—he wanted her to go on a business trip with him...
Willow’s lips curved into a sweet grin. "Really? Won’t my son and I be bothering your work?"
Morgan embraced her slender waist, pulling her into his arms, and whispered softly by her ear, "During the day, no, but my evening time is all yours."
Willow felt the sweetness in her heart. "Alright then, you’re inviting me."
Morgan lifted their son into his powerful arms, and with his other hand, he held Willow tightly. The family of three boarded the plane together.
Willow looked back. Besides Eleven, everyone around him was male staff members; the female secretary who had long carried a torch for him was nowhere to be seen. She asked quietly, "President Ashworth, did you downsize and let go of all the female staff?"
Morgan saw her playful look and immediately pinched her cheek. "With a jealous wife at home, how could I dare?"
Willow retorted confidently, "Oh dear, President Ashworth, that’s not right! You’re guilty of gender discrimination."
Morgan pinched her slim waist, pulling her into his embrace. Willow laughed like tinkling bells in his arms.
Listening to her sugary laughter, Morgan lowered his head to kiss her.
"Wow, Daddy, I’m gonna get a sty!" The little bundle of joy quickly covered his eyes.
Willow felt like her heart was coated in sugar, unbearably sweet.
...
The family of three flew for the business trip and arrived at a six-star hotel.
Morgan went out to work, while Willow, after bathing with her son, coaxed him into bed.
Morgan returned late at night, carrying documents.
"Honey, I’ve prepared your bath; go take a quick shower." Willow said considerately.
Morgan kissed her forehead. "You and our son should go to sleep early. I need to do some translation on these files."
"Alright."
As Morgan went into the shower, Willow didn’t go to bed. Instead, she sat at the desk, opened the documents Morgan had brought back, and started helping with translation.
When Morgan came out, still towel-drying his hair, he glanced at the bed but didn’t see Willow. Then, he found her under the lamp.
