Makin confronts Jason, the Overlord of the Sixth Domain, about his claim to the throne and the mercenaries he hired. Jason questions Makin's actions and considers the Primordial Treaty. After hearing Makin's story and his justifications, Jason decides to delay his judgment and calls for a meeting with Makin's brother the next day.

[Outskirts of the Northern Solstice Alliance Academy]

Jason stood on a cliff overlooking a massive river flowing beneath him, and he admired the sight of the large Academy building standing in the distance. The Academy looked like a castle with one massive central building and many smaller towers arranged around it in a wide circle! The Academy had been built as a joint collaboration between fifteen different worlds in this section of the domain, and there were branches on all fifteen worlds! But the branch on L’horm was seen as the main headquarters, and this was where most of the magical and scientific advancements were first made.

During the short battle between the L’horm army and the Mercenaries, the Academy had closed its doors and set up a massive magical defence to prevent anyone from entering. The Academy was treated as an independent entity separate from the other worlds, so even though this world was in the middle of a war, the Academy did not have any obligation to support them!

The headmaster of the academy, Jaen Trush, had locked the academy and sent all the students away to other branches, and he refused to reopen the academy until the war had been fully settled. But even now, Jason could still feel the faint flicker of mana from within the academy, and Jason knew that there were people in there working on their various research and experiments.

’This way, my king.’

The voice of one of Jason’s phantoms called out to him, and Jason turned towards the entrance of the academy and activated [Eye of the King] to switch his vision. Jason had sent out multiple subordinates to survey the area around the castle and academy for anything strange, and although the subordinates didn’t find anything around the castle, one of Jason’s subordinates reported that there was a strange meeting taking place at the academy entrance.

Jason narrowed his eyes as he saw multiple figures standing at the entrance. One group was made up of people from many different worlds, and they didn’t look like they were from L’horm, so Jason knew that they were part of the Jamani mercenary group that helped Makin. And opposite this group stood a man that Jason immediately recognized. It was Jaen Trush, the headmaster of the academy and the man who had competed against Jason for the position of Overlord. Jaen had his hands held behind him regally, and he was standing in front of the academy gates while speaking to a woman standing with the mercenaries. The woman had a beautiful reptilian appearance, with red skin and slit eyes. Two horns were protruding from her forehead, and a long lizard tail was hanging behind her. Other than this, everything else about the woman was similar to a regular human appearance.

Her bust and hips were wide, and her stomach was well-toned! She was wearing very short shorts that made her behind stand out even more, and a crop top with a low slit that exposed a lot of her red cleavage! It was obvious that this was a woman who knew how seductive she was, and she was not afraid to use it!

But right now, her beautiful face was twisted into a scowl, and she spoke in a hard tone!

"There is no reason for you to keep the Academy closed now that the war is over. The new King has allowed us to access the building, so you have no right to stop us."

The woman, as well as all the other Jamani mercenaries, were armed, but Jaen Trush didn’t look like he was bothered by their hostility! Jaen spoke in a calm voice.

"Go back and tell your king that I have refused to grant you access. The academy doors are closed to outsiders, and we do not tolerate mercenaries within our walls. This land is independent of the world of L’horm, and you have no right to make demands of me on land that is not yours."

"You fool! Why are you acting up so much? Won’t you do as we say while we’re asking nicely?"

The woman placed her hand on the hilt of her sword and glared at Jaen, but Jaen still didn’t look like he cared! The woman narrowed her eyes at Jaen, and a wave of pressure began to rise from her body. With the amount of power she was releasing, it was obvious that the woman was somewhere around TITAN Rank II, the same rank as Jaen Trush! If all the mercenaries attacked Jaen, then there was no chance he could win this battle. But Jaen still didn’t seem bothered, and the woman took a step forward angrily!

"Isn’t this interesting?"

"!"

Shock passed through every single person there as they heard a voice coming from the side, and they all turned to see Jason rising from the shadows slowly! Jason looked around with a calm gaze, and the Jamani mercenaries all moved in shock when Jason’s eyes landed on them!

The woman who had been speaking to Jaen wondered how long Jason had been here! She heard that Jason was in the throne room speaking to Makin and the other Jamani mercenaries, so she didn’t think she would run into him here! But she did not allow that to throw her off, and she bowed to Jason kindly.

"It is an honor to stand before you, Lord Jason."

Jason regarded her for a few seconds. There was a welcoming smile on her beautiful face, like something a tired man would wish to see after coming home from a long day of work, and when you paired her beautiful smile with the revealing clothes she had on, any lesser man would definitely fall for her on the spot! The woman’s actions made it obvious that she was very confident in her own appearance, but Jason didn’t care to respond to her greeting, and he turned to the headmaster.

"Jaen Trush."

Jason greeted with a nod, and the headmaster bowed.

"Lord Jason. It’s an honor to meet you once again."

The headmaster spoke calmly, and Jason nodded to him with a small smile. Even though the two of them had been competitors for the position of overlord, Jason knew that there was no bad blood between them! The selection had ended on a good note, and Jason had even been approached by the other candidates about opening trade routes between their worlds and Earth for the Aqualith stone!

Jason finally turned back to the mercenaries and spoke to the reptilian woman.

"What is your name?"

The woman’s smile widened invitingly, and she leaned her weight to one side in a way that made her hip stand out even more.

"I am Calypso, my lord."

Her tone was filled with a seductive energy, but Jason ignored that as his brow furrowed.

"Calypso? You are the leader of the Jamani?"

Jason asked this with a curious expression on his face, and he hummed when Calypso nodded. Jason had heard about Calypso from Vahala, the leader of the Drakan. According to Vahala, Calypso was the sort of woman who was willing to do anything to get what she wanted! She was beautiful, strong, and smart, and that sort of combination made her one of the most dangerous mercenaries in the world! Jason had been surprised when Vahala said that he had also fallen under Calypso’s seduction at one time. It was that weakness that allowed the Jamani to ambush and overpower the Drakan so easily! It was out of sheer luck that Vahala managed to escape with his life back then! And in truth, Jason couldn’t blame the man. Calypso looked like something straight out of a man’s wet dream, and Jason would not deny that she was beautiful.
