Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 931: Are You Worthy?
Stella smiled and bowed to Georgia.
"It would be my honor to teach you the ways of the sword, Lady Georgia."
Georgia nodded thankfully, and Mira finally spoke up again as she reached out and brought Gina forward to present her to Fiona.
"Fiona, this here is Gina Fey. She is Jason’s betrothed and our future daughter-in-law!"
Mira’s face brightened into a silly smile as she spoke about Gina, and Gina smiled as she greeted the guests.
"Hello, my name is Gina. I’m really happy to finally meet you all. Welcome to Earth."
Fiona stepped forward with a blank face as she studied Gina closely, and Gina swallowed discreetly as Fiona hummed. Gina still remembered Bethsa telling her to do her best to get on Fiona’s good side a while ago, and Gina was sure that Fiona was the sort of person to have high standards for anyone who would be joining the family.
"You said your name was Gina, was it? Your manners are quite good. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Tell me, what family do you come from? Are the Fey family a prominent member of Earth’s economic or financial sectors?"
Gina was a little surprised by the question, but Gina could tell that Fiona was trying to judge her worth. Fiona came from a royal family, so it was normal for Fiona to ask questions like these to anyone trying to join her family! But Gina smiled softly and shook her head.
"No, nothing like that. My family are farmers."
Fiona’s eyes widened slightly when she heard this, and she tried her best to keep her emotions in check, but Gina easily caught the reaction from Fiona! Gina could understand why Fiona was reacting this way. As a Queen, Fiona would only want the best women to marry her sons, so Fiona must feel a little disappointed that a prince was choosing to marry a farmer’s daughter. But Gina really didn’t care since she wasn’t going to allow someone else’s opinion determine whether she was worthy of Jason or not.
"I can’t seem to sense any mana from you. Are you not a mage?"
Fiona gave Gina a curious look as she asked this, and Fiona was surprised when Gina just laughed lightly before responding with a shrug.
"I don’t need to store mana in my body anymore. I’m a sage, so I’ve transcended the regular mana usage."
A wave of shock suddenly passed through everyone present there! Even Bethsa couldn’t help but be shocked when she heard this! Bethsa already knew that Gina was a lot stronger than before, but Bethsa had no idea that Gina had already become a sage! Bethsa thought that Gina had just been using some sort of artefact or technique to block people from sensing her mana!!
"You’re a Sage? How is that even possible? Your world hasn’t had mana for more than a decade, so how can it produce a sage in just that time?"
Hendrix spoke up from behind with a frown on his face, and even though Fiona was not happy about his tone, Fiona couldn’t help but agree! It was very difficult for any world to nurture a Sage, and many worlds that had practiced magic for centuries didn’t have even one Sage! How was Gina able to reach this level so quickly?
Gina didn’t bother trying to argue with Hendrix’s argument, and Gina simply called out her spirit companion.
"Ulyn, come here for a moment."
’Yawn~ Wha-? What’s going on?’
Ulyn’s sleepy voice echoed from inside Gina’s hair, and Gina told her to come out again. Ulyn rubbed her eyes sleepily before she gently floated out of Gina’s hair! But Ulyn was immediately shocked awake when she saw multiple people staring at her at the same time!
’W-What’s all this, Gina!? Are you trying to ambush me in my sleep!? You’ll never take me alive!’
"No, it’s nothing like that. I just wanted to introduce you to my family."
Gina raised her hand and rubbed Ulyn’s cheek with a smile, but Ulyn just looked around for a moment before pouting!
"I don’t want to meet anybody! They all look annoying! And if you’re going to call me out, then at least make sure Jason is here too! Hmph!’
Ulyn huffed as she dived back into Gina’s hair, and Gina just laughed at the stubborn spirit. Gina and Ulyn were a lot closer than before, but Ulyn still had that rebellious streak that made it obvious she was a teenager. Gina knew it would take a while for Ulyn to start acting maturely.
"You also wield the Spirit Arts?"
Fiona couldn’t contain her shock this time, and she was staring at Gina like Gina had grown two heads! The Spirit Arts were a branch of magic that was not available to just anyone, and it was even rarer than the Sage Arts! Before you could gain a spirit as your companion, you needed to first become a Sage and then find favour in the eyes of your Spirit Ruler so that they would bless you with one of their children as a companion. It was extremely difficult to accomplish this feat, and Fiona could count on one hand the number of people who had gained this ability! Fiona suddenly felt a wave of amusement rising from somewhere deep inside her, and she couldn’t help but laugh at her own foolishness!
On Lyran, everyone was judged based on how much they were able to accomplish in their lives, and as the Queen, Fiona obviously judged people in that same way. Both Hendrix and Georgia were brilliant mages who had become the best in their fields very young, and that was what brought Fiona the most joy as their mother. Fiona always believed that anyone who wanted to join the Marc family also had to be a member of a prominent family that was the best in their world, and Fiona had been trying to measure Gina’s worth and see if she was worthy to be the first wife of one of her sons, but Gina’s achievements had blown Fiona out of the water! Gina had barely lived for a quarter of Fiona’s age, and yet Gina had achieved something that Fiona might never reach!
Fiona spread her hands out to Gina.
"Welcome to the Marc family, Gina. I apologise for my earlier rudeness. I’ll be more than happy to call you daughter."
Gina’s face brightened once she heard this, and she immediately went to hug Fiona with a wide smile! Fiona pat Gina on the back kindly before she looked down at Gina’s tiny bump and asked:
"You have a baby on the way?"
Gina nodded, and Fiona laughed.
"I suppose Jason is just like his father. Hendrix was also born before our wedding."
"Mother, please."
Hendrix palmed his face with an embarrassed sigh, and all three mothers laughed since they knew that Fiona was telling the truth! Richard had gotten all of them pregnant before they even got married!
Fiona waved her son’s worries away nonchalantly.
"Oh, be quiet. It’s not as though it was some grand secret. Avaran children are always very active in their younger years, so make sure you prepare yourself for it, okay, daughter?"
Fiona said this last part to Gina, and Gina nodded thankfully for the advice.
Mira clapped as she finally told everyone to head inside! They had prepared a feast for the family, so they would have some rest while waiting for Jason to return!
And that was how the entire family found themselves sitting around the living room while waiting for Stella to finish organizing the dinner table. Kai and Maya were sitting together on one side of the room, and Maya was telling Kai some grand stories about Jason’s exploits while Janet was sitting together with Hendrix and Georgia, and she was showing them how to operate her mobile phone while they watched with stunned looks on their faces!
