Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 919: The Growth of Radagan I
"There’s something on your mind. What is it?"
Enkidu let out a low hum and she snuggled even deeper into Sicario’s embrace before she spoke.
"Theosis is acting out again."
"What is he doing this time?"
Theosis was the name of the man wielding the Arcane Art of Mind, and he was the most difficult member of the Apostles to control. Sicario allowed most of the Apostles to do whatever they wanted whenever they weren’t working together on their mission as the Court of Apostles, but it was still important that the Apostles didn’t cause too much trouble in the Primordial Expanse so they wouldn’t draw unwanted attention, and Sicario had warned all of them to keep a low profile. Unfortunately, Theosis was always busy trying to capture one woman or another to make them into his property. Even Ulysses didn’t cause as many headaches for Sicario as the Mind Art user.
"I don’t know what he’s been doing. He won’t tell me. But he’s been working with Bathseda and moving around the sixth domain for a while. Bathseda’s using the Space Arts for transportation, so I can’t track all their movements, but I know they’re planning something."
Sicario ran his free hand over his face and sighed calmly! When Sicario had started the Court of Apostles, he thought the most difficult thing would be finding all the Arcane Art users and bringing them together, but it turned out that handling the personalities of those Arcane Art users was even more difficult!
"Are you sure he isn’t just looking for another woman to conquer? You know how he feels about women."
Enkidu growled when she heard this!
"I still want to kill him for calling me a lesser creature when we first met."
"He didn’t mean it."
"Yes, he did. He’s a bastard, and I’m going to make sure he bleeds to death one of these days."
Sicario sighed calmly.
"There isn’t anyone who can use the Mind Arts as well as him. We’ve been looking for a wielder for decades, and he’s the first person who wasn’t overwhelmed by the mental load. His personality might be horrible, but it’s a perfect fit for that Arcane Art. Just leave him alive till we’re done with the mission."
Enkidu huffed in annoyance, but she didn’t say anything, and Sicario knew she had accepted his order. Every Arcane Art came with its own special requirement that made it difficult for just anyone to wield it! The two Arts that were the most difficult to wield were the Shadow Art and the Mind Art since those two Arts placed a lot of mental load on their wielder. So Sicario knew that killing Theosis or Jason would only hinder his plans since he would need to start searching for another wielder of the Art!
There was another moment of silence before Sicario spoke up again.
"Have you heard anything from Ulysses?"
Enkidu rolled her eyes in annoyance before she shrugged.
"Last I heard, she was still trying to build some new religion on a world she conquered. I haven’t heard anything else, thankfully. If you want me to, I can go make sure she isn’t doing anything stupid."
Sicario chuckled in amusement, and he told Enkidu that there was no need for that. Sicario knew just how much Enkidu and Ulysses disliked each other, so he was sure that Enkidu would pick a fight with Ulysses the moment she saw her! Sicario would rather not have them draw the attention of the Council with a pointless battle.
"Leave Ulysses alone for now. It’s better for her to be occupied like that. Keep an eye on Theosis for me and find out what he’s after. As long as he isn’t trying to kill the Shadow user, then leave him be. We can’t have him ruining our plan when we’re so close."
Enkidu hummed in agreement, and her lips eased into a content smile as she traced a finger over Sicario’s sturdy chest. Enkidu’s hand began travelling down Sicario’s abs and towards his lower region, and Sicario spoke in a warning voice.
"Enkidu."
"Put a baby in me."
"No."
Enkidu pouted angrily at the immediate refusal, and she clicked her tongue and pressed her face tighter against Sicario’s shoulder! Enkidu would get him to fuck her one of these days! She swore it!
.....
[The World of Radagan]
The people of Radagan had come a long way from the period when they were ruled by the Sovereign! The battle against the Sovereign had destroyed a significant portion of the main city of Radagan, and many of the smaller cities had suffered serious infrastructural damage that would take a very long time to repair! But even after they suffered such a serious setback, the dragonborns of Radagan didn’t allow it to hold them back! Over the past few months, the dragonborns of Radagan had been working very hard to try and rebuild their cities and replenish the money that the Sovereign had wasted from their treasury! The main source of income for the dragonborn was the dragonstone that they mined from the Yellow Ash Mountain in the Eastern plains, and every able-bodied person in Radagan was working hard to retrieve as much dragonstone as possible!
But even though the dragonborns were all working hard to mine the dragonstone, they had run into a problem with their sales. Radagan sold most of their dragonstones to five worlds within the sixth domain, and that was their main source of income for the stones, but the sudden increase in the number of dragonstones didn’t mean that the other worlds would be interested in buying more dragonstone than they needed, and the dragonborns ended up having a massive inventory of dragonstone lying around in Radagan that they couldn’t sell! For the past few months, Riyala had been working hard to try and secure more trade deals with worlds in this domain so they could make more money, and although she was making progress, Riyala could tell that she would need to make many more deals before they started making profits from the dragonstones.
So when Hesabeth told Riyala that she was willing to buy a significant amount of dragonstone for her processing plants in Minori, Riyala had been over the fucking moon! Hesabeth’s deal with Riyala was very beneficial to the dragonborns because, as the Overlord of the seventh domain, Hesabeth could also help Riyala refer the dragonstone to other worlds in her domain! All Riyala had to do was make sure she did a good job in providing Hesabeth with all the dragonstones that she needed, and Riyala was sure that Hesabeth would recommend the dragonstone to anyone else who needed a fire-based mana stone!
"Priestess, we’ve sent out the first shipment to Minori, and it should be arriving within a few weeks. The miners have already prepared the second shipment, and we plan to send it in a few days so the two will arrive around the same time."
A dragonborn woman spoke quickly while following behind Riyala as they walked through a large processing plant on the outskirts of the Radagan central city. The processing plant was located in an enormous building that took up more than a thousand acres of land! The entire building was exceptionally hot with hundreds of furnaces blasting scorching dragon fire at the raw dragonstone that had been mined from the mountains! The freshly mined stones were dirty and rough, and they needed to be heated up and cleaned before they would be ready for shipment. In the past, the process had been done by a group of dragons in a valley far away from any city, but after seeing the developments on Earth, Riyala had brought up a plan to create this factory, and she got help from a few engineers on Earth to make sure it was perfect!
