Diane sent mana into her sword, and the blade glowed with a bright blue light as she raised it in the air and brought it down in a perfect vertical slash!

A sound like metal cutting through metal tore through the shadow world, and the large mountain in the distance immediately began to split in half! But Diane grit her teeth in anger as she saw that Jason had easily avoided her slash! Jason took a step forward, and Diane’s eyes widened as Jason appeared in front of her the next second!

Jason swung the [Spear of Heaven] into Diane’s face, and Diane shot through the air and slammed into the ground! Diane blasted off the ground and headed back up towards Jason again! She swung her sword at him, and Jason deflected it with the spear before putting a hand out toward Diane and activating [Flash Freeze]! A blast of cold wind slammed into Diane’s body and pushed her back, and Diane quickly grabbed an artefact from her arsenal and broke it! A circle of fire appeared around Diane’s body and protected her from the intense cold, and Diane looked up at Jason with a hard gaze as she realised that she was seriously outmatched here. Diane knew that one of the reasons why she could beat Jason so soundly earlier was because of her runes, but she never thought that removing the runes would create such a significant difference between them. It felt like Jason was still at his same level of power, but her own power had dropped significantly!

Diane knew that there was still one thing she could do here, but Diane didn’t know if she should really do this. This was seen as a ’Deus Ex Machina’. A last resort that Diane was only meant to use when she was facing off against a PRIMORDIAL or someone far too dangerous for her to handle alone! Was this really the moment to use it?

Diane looked over at Jason, and she decided that she didn’t have any other choice but to use it! Jason was already close to becoming a PRIMORDIAL, and Diane knew that if she didn’t kill him soon, then his Legion would arrive here to help him! If it would help her kill this bastard, then Diane would even pour her heart and soul into her mission!

Diane brought her sword up and slid it across her palm as she drew blood! She reached to the side, and her hand vanished into a blue ripple before she brought an artefact out from a spatial space! The artefact was a simple ball that looked inconspicuous enough to be overlooked by anyone else, but all the Bengari women knew that this was one of the most powerful artefacts that they had in their arsenal! This was the only PRIMORDIAL Rank Artefact that the Bengari retrieved during the war hundreds of years ago, and it was rumored that there wasn’t any single being below PRIMORDIAL Rank capable of withstanding the physical strain required to activate this artefact! But Diane didn’t care about the consequences or the damage she could do to herself, and she allowed her blood to sink into the silver ball!

DOON!

A pulse of mana suddenly shot across the battlefield, and Jason felt his eyes narrow as he was pushed back slightly! The ball in Diane’s hand began to glow with a brilliant silver light, and Jason watched in shock as Diane’s body was wrapped in that same silver light! Jason had a sudden feeling that whatever Diane was activating was too dangerous for him to overlook, and Jason pulled back the [Spear of Heaven] and activated the innate skill [You Shall Not Miss]!

Jason threw the spear across the air like a missile, and it flew straight at Diane, but before it could stab her, a large angel wing appeared from her left side and blocked the spear! The spear wiggled and vibrated as it tried desperately to break past the wing, but the wing stayed strong until it finally deflected the spear to the side! Another large silver wing appeared from Diane’s other side, and a silver figure began to emerge from Diane’s body like some sort of astral projection! The figure had the shape of a woman with a blindfold around her eyes and a stoic frown on her face, with two lines travelling down her cheeks like tear tracks! She had six arms, and she was using two of them to hold Diane in place, like Diane was some sort of prisoner. Behind the woman’s back were six silver angel wings that shone with an unbearable brilliance! The angel was large enough in size to make Arcticus seem small, and Jason could feel a corrupted energy washing over him like a wave once she appeared!

’What the hell is this?’

Jason asked this question with a frown, and the system responded immediately.

The system advises the user not to use this artefact unless it is absolutely unavoidable, since it is guaranteed to cut the user’s lifespan by a significant amount.

Jason cursed internally once he read through the system message, and he looked back at the massive Angel as a tremor passed through the [Land of Lost Shadows]!

All the shadows around the angel were immediately decimated by an intense wave of mana that the angel released, and Jason grunted as he actually felt the mana pressing him to the ground! The amount of mana wasn’t the issue at all! Jason knew that if it came to a contest of mana capacity, then he would have way more mana than this! Instead, the real issue was the sheer power present in the mana! At this moment, Diane had given up her role in this battle, and it was the Angel that was using her own power against Jason, so the mana Jason was feeling was from a PRIMORDIAL! The [Land of Lost Shadows] trembled one more time, and cracks travelled across the air as the shadow world began tearing apart!

Jason cursed as he realised that he wouldn’t be able to keep the shadow world stable, so he simply released the shadow world, and the PRIMORDIAL mana immediately shattered the barrier holding it back!

The [Sky Serpent Nest] trembled and shook as the intense mana spread across the landscape! On the other side of the island, Gina and all the other fighters who had been in the middle of their own battles turned in shock when they felt the oppressive mana wash over them! It felt like they were standing in front of a god! Gina had a look of worry on her face since she knew that this mana didn’t belong to Jason, and Gina could only wonder what the hell Jason was fighting right now!

Jason got a message from the system telling him that his subordinates had killed the Sky Serpent boss, but Jason didn’t even have the time to pay attention to it since he had to move out of the way as the Weeping Angel finally unleashed an attack! The Angel raised two hands into the air and formed a massive white magic circle! Black lightning crackled across the surface of the circle as magic began to build up! The white magic circle began to turn black, and it slowly revealed a large black ball floating in the sky! The Angel pointed a finger forward and unleashed the attack in Jason’s direction, and Jason immediately knew that if he took this attack head-on, he would die!
