Jason resolves a conflict in Africa instigated by European countries seeking to lower gold prices. He then travels with Gina and family to Texas for a reunion, accompanied by his dragons. Meanwhile, the newly formed Earth Defence Force (EDF), comprising 100 superhumans from various nations, begins rigorous training in dangerous Gates under Jason's supervision to prepare for interworld conflicts.

The recruitment of the other two Rulers proved to be considerably simpler for Jason. One such recruit was a formidable woman, a giantess capable of reaching heights of over fifteen feet, who wielded twin swords with deadly prowess. Her name was Helga, and her unique gift allowed her to augment her size and weight, granting her the power to contend with an SSS Rank opponent for several minutes at her peak. Helga resided in France, leading her own guild while living with her family. Jason found it relatively easy to enlist her, as she shared his passion for battling formidable foes and advancing her own strength. However, much like the other Rulers, Helga issued a grave warning to Jason regarding the immensely powerful beings they encountered within the Green Gate, expressing concern that even with Jason's considerable might, he might not be adequately prepared for the Primordials.

"Those entities were unlike any creatures I've ever sensed," Helga stated, her voice tinged with genuine fear as she recounted her experience. "Your power is immense, undoubtedly, but it lacks a certain depth. Compared to the power I felt that day, yours seems... almost diluted. If your mana is akin to water, then the mana I encountered then was as thick as honey. It was utterly suffocating."

Jason observed the unfeigned terror in Helga's eyes as she described the Primordials. While he had cultivated a strong sense of self-assurance in his current abilities, believing himself capable of facing any challenge, that conversation made him acutely aware of his remaining weaknesses. He resolved that upon concluding his affairs on Earth, he would dedicate himself to further cultivation, aiming to reach the level of the Primordials as swiftly as possible.

After parting ways with Helga in France, Jason set out to secure the final Ruler, a task that presented a greater challenge than anticipated. The last member of the Rulers was a man named Victor Rodriguez. For the past decade, Victor had built one of Mexico's most lucrative businesses, generating millions monthly. However, this empire served merely as a façade; Jason quickly uncovered that Victor was, in reality, the head of the world's most prolific underworld syndicate. Jason had consulted Victoria Sanchez, the leader of the Black Market guild, for intelligence on Victor. Victoria informed Jason that Victor had gone into hiding the moment he learned of Jason's capabilities, seeking refuge in a bunker buried thousands of feet beneath the earth, fearing Jason's pursuit.

Evidently, Victor had been so profoundly traumatized by his encounter in the Green Gate years prior that he had ceased fighting altogether. He had resorted to leveraging his existing SS Rank power primarily for extortion and illicit trade in drugs and weapons. Jason found this revelation almost unbelievable. Victoria watched as Jason's gaze sharpened, directed seemingly at thin air. A few moments passed, and just as Victoria was about to inquire about his actions, Jason vanished abruptly. Victoria flinched as a shadowy figure materialized before her— a truly terrifying spectacle!

Jason materialized within the confines of Victor's hidden bunker. He found Victor reclining naked on a large sofa, his tongue extended to pluck a grape from the bare breasts of a woman beside him. Three other nude women were present, and the entire group froze in shock at Jason's sudden appearance. Jason calmly conjured a seat from behind him, settled into it, and gestured dismissively towards Victor.

"Certainly, do not let my presence interrupt your... activities. Please, continue."

Victor, exercising sound judgment, opted not to continue. He sat up abruptly, covering himself with his hands, and promptly dismissed the women, who hurried into an adjoining room. With a sheen of sweat on his brow, Victor inquired as to how he might be of service. Jason asked if Victor was unaware of the global shifts occurring, to which Victor responded with a nervous chuckle.

"I... I lack prowess in combat, Lord Jason. I haven't ventured into a Gate in ages."

"Describe your gift."

"I... I can channel lightning through my body and weapons. My speed is also said to be quite remarkable."

Jason let out a low hum, contemplating for a few moments before shrugging indifferently.

"Regrettably, your abilities are far too valuable to waste. I cannot permit you to languish here. Had your gift been negligible, perhaps I would have incarcerated you and forgotten your existence. However, you possess too much potential for that."

A palpable sense of dread washed over Victor upon hearing Jason's words. He hastily interjected:

"N-No! I assure you, I am utterly useless! In combat, I am the most inept! I haven't entered a Gate in ten years; I would only be a liability to the team!"

"Yet, you remain an SS Rank. Ten years ago, you entered a Green Gate and fought to defend humanity. A coward, perhaps, but not entirely useless."

Victor’s expression faltered, and he inquired with a trembling voice.

"Have you heard whispers of what we encountered within that Gate?"

"I have."

"Then why persist with this endeavor!? Does it not fill you with dread? Those abominations are beyond our current capabilities! A single Primordial was present that day, annihilating all the Gaia agents and nearly claiming us as well, were it not for that man! Should more of these monstrous beings emerge in our world, we stand no chance! Even with a century of dedicated training and combat, I doubt our ability to bridge the power gap!"

"I require not a century from you. A single year suffices. Humanity may be feeble and pathetic now, but perpetual weakness is not our destiny. We possess the potential to augment our strength and secure formidable allies. While we may not rival the Primordials in might, we can at least ensure we are not defenseless against our neighbors. As for the Primordials, my father is currently confronting them, and I shall join him once I am adequately prepared. Concentrate your efforts on Earth and its inhabitants; leave those wretched fiends to us."

Father? Victor's shock was palpable upon hearing Jason refer to the man as his father. He finally took a moment to truly scrutinize Jason's features. Placing a hand on his own face, Victor let out a miserable chuckle. How could he have overlooked such an obvious resemblance! Jason was an uncanny replica of that man! A sigh escaped Victor as he gazed into Jason's eyes, perceiving an unwavering conviction within them. Jason had heard the tales from every Ruler, recounting the terrifying and insurmountably powerful nature of the Primordials. Instead of being dissuaded, Jason's resolve to ultimately triumph over them had only solidified!

Victor chuckled once more, realizing the stark difference between Jason and the ruling council. The rulers had all succumbed and fractured under the immense pressure of their fear when confronting the Primordials. Jason, however, refused to be subdued; he was forging ahead towards a more promising future, drawing humanity along with him. Though Jason remained uncertain of ultimate victory against the Primordials, his aspiration was to fortify this world, a goal he resolved to achieve regardless of humanity's willingness.

Victor hummed, his thoughts beginning to coalesce around Jason's proposition. Jason's expression remained impassive as he observed this, internally questioning if Victor perceived his offer as a genuine choice.
