Diane is forcibly mind-controlled by a white-haired man, her guards are easily defeated, and she turns against them. Meanwhile, on Earth, major global changes are underway following a meeting of world leaders, including the formation of an American Guild led by Jason Marc, increased Gate appearances in capitals, and Gaia's new role in managing interworld travelers.

This particular rune bore a strong resemblance to the one that had previously prevented the Machina from encroaching upon Jason's world. Given the Machina's familiarity with this artifact, numerous scientists from their ranks collaborated closely with Azrael, Vana, and the Gaia researchers to meticulously refine its intricacies.

Such a multitude of tasks were being undertaken concurrently, and for many, this level of responsibility would undoubtedly prove overwhelming. However, Jason possessed a fortitude unlike that of ordinary individuals. He not only devised strategies to manage all his obligations but also carved out ample time for his beloved Gina and their family. It is precisely this determination that brings us to the present scene: Jason aboard a luxurious private jet, traversing the skies over America en route to visit Gina's family in Texas. Gina had established her parents' residence in Texas several years prior, upon achieving her superhuman status, and had procured a sprawling farm for their tranquil retirement. Annually, Gina's parents host a grand family reunion on their farm, a picnic gathering where relatives from across the globe convene to reconnect. As is customary, Jason and his entire family received an invitation.

ROARRR!

Seated by a window on the jet, Gina turned her head at the sound of Ragnar's raucous roar emanating from the exterior. Ragnar, Trigon, and a host of smaller dragons and wyverns elegantly navigated the air alongside the jet. Ragnar emitted another thunderous roar, this one of pure elation, as he surveyed the vast expanse of the world from such a lofty altitude. Jason had granted Ragnar and the other dragons permission to emerge from his alternate dimension, allowing them to unfurl their majestic wings after an extended period of confinement. Had it been merely himself and Gina embarking on this journey to Texas, Jason would have opted to travel atop Ragnar or Trigon, owing to their superior speed. Yet, with his mother and sister accompanying him, Jason deemed the company jet, a token of generosity from Juliet, the most appropriate mode of transport.

Turning from Ragnar's spectacle, Gina gazed downward with a gentle smile, observing the peaceful visage of the sleeping Jason. His head rested upon her lap, and she tenderly stroked his hair as she watched him slumber. The previous night had been exceptionally demanding for Jason, engrossed in the meticulous review of numerous official documents requiring his final assent, alongside navigating a recently surfaced international dispute among several European nations concerning the unprecedented global gold rush. While Jason delegated the bulk of his official duties to the more intellectually inclined members of his Legion, there were occasions necessitating his personal intervention, particularly when his Legion's capacity to mediate between sovereign states was insufficient. Jason was acutely aware that numerous nations possessed substantial gold reserves, enabling them to procure Aqualith without undue difficulty. Conversely, some nations were compelled to either intensify their gold mining efforts or engage in international gold purchases, a scenario that had precipitated the current predicament.

Recently, a localized conflict erupted in the western region of Africa, centered around several gold mines. Jason's intelligence revealed that this conflict had been deliberately instigated by certain European countries, motivated by a desire to acquire gold at reduced prices through manufactured scarcity. Jason had promptly intervened, issuing a stern ultimatum threatening sanctions against any nation resorting to such underhanded tactics in the future! Jason harbored no illusions about achieving universal harmony and benevolence amongst all inhabitants of Earth overnight; the historical animosities between nations ran far too deep. Nevertheless, Jason refused to passively observe as a futile conflict diverted attention from their paramount objective! If nations wished to engage in gold transactions, they were expected to do so with unimpeachable integrity! While numerous similar situations transpired across the globe, Jason was incapable of personally addressing each one. His intervention in this particular affair was solely predicated on its significant scale; typically, Jason entrusted the resolution of smaller-scale issues to his subordinates and guild members. Following his contentious meeting with the European leaders, Jason departed the continent immediately, proceeding directly to the airport for his flight. The exhaustion from these endeavors had rendered him profoundly weary, causing him to fall asleep on Gina's lap the moment they were seated.

"He has been working tirelessly."

Gina ’s gaze drifted to Janet, who was observing Jason’s sleeping countenance with a touch of longing. A smile graced Gina’s lips. Even though they had returned over a month ago, Gina couldn't recall a single day when Jason wasn't occupied with one crisis or another. She understood that without Jason’s Legion granting him the ability to traverse vast distances, he would have been absent for an extended period. Yet, Jason consistently found a way to manage everything perfectly. Even this visit to Gina’s parents, a long overdue event, had been postponed due to Jason’s packed schedule. It was only when Jason secured a few days of leave that the picnic was finally arranged. Fortunately, no significant incidents within the Gates had necessitated Jason’s immediate attention thus far.

Following the global leaders' summit, numerous nations had established country guilds, each comprising one hundred of their most formidable superhumans, precisely as Jason had proposed. He then consolidated these into a unified organization, designated the Earth Defence Force, or EDF for brevity. The EDF's primary mission was to achieve maximum strength in the shortest possible time, enabling them to confront any future interworld conflicts. Jason envisioned the EDF as a preeminent force within this Domain, promptly deploying them into perilous Gates for training. Currently, EDF members frequented Orange and Yellow Gates, with Jason’s Legion acting as support. His immediate objective was to accumulate sufficient mana to manifest a Green Gate, thereby accelerating their growth. The ultimate aim, from Jason’s perspective, was to dispatch EDF members to parallel worlds embroiled in war or infested with formidable SSS and TITAN Rank beasts, cultivating their survival instincts in extreme environments. While they were not yet prepared, Gina recognized Jason's satisfaction with the EDF members' rapid development, despite their current limitations.

Jason had convened all the Rulers involved in the Green Gate raid from a decade prior, assigning them leadership roles for the most hazardous Yellow Gates. Having already eliminated one Ruler, Yuslev, the former head of the New Order, only four remained. Katarina, the world's most potent supporter, was tasked with forging new alliances among existing Monarch Guild members to amplify their strength through her passive buffs. Stragga, Yuslev's brother and the former leader of the Rulers, proved exceptionally resistant to persuasion, leading Jason to briefly contemplate his demise. However, Jason elected not to commence his tenure as a leader with such a drastic action. Instead, he sternly warned Stragga that any transgression would result in his death and subsequent resurrection as a slave. Stragga, acutely aware of Jason's capabilities and aware that his own strength paled in comparison, even to Jason's subordinates, had no recourse but to comply. Thus, Stragga accepted a contingent and led them into the Yellow Gates.
