Hesabeth, Queen of the Minori, arrived to ask Mira for permission to marry her son, Jason. Mira was shocked at the proposal, especially considering Jason was already set to marry Gina and Riyala. Despite her reservations about the complexity of such a union, Hesabeth's earnest plea, even kneeling at Mira's feet, touched Mira. Gina then reassured Mira that they were all sure about their commitment to Jason and each other.

As Riyala joined her sister-wives, all three knelt at Mira’s feet. Mira surveyed the three lovely women, feeling her resolve crumble. What mother could possibly reject such a heartfelt promise from such beautiful girls? They pledged their eternal love to her son, and Mira knew from the start that this was a battle she couldn't win. A gentle smile graced Mira’s lips as she softly caressed their cheeks, followed by a contented sigh. She looked up at Jason, who nodded, confirming his own agreement, which ultimately sealed the decision.

"Very well, then. Since you have all sworn to love and protect my son, I have no objections to this union. I give you all my blessing and wish you happiness in each other. Now, please rise. I imagine you are all famished after your journeys. I have prepared more than enough food, so please, do not hesitate to partake."

Mira extended a hand, helping her daughters-in-law to their feet. They all beamed, overjoyed at finally receiving Mira’s approval. Mira tenderly caressed their faces once more, marveling at their beauty. Her gaze shifted to Jason, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"Now listen here, young man. The only reason I’ve agreed to this is because these beautiful women have vowed to stand by you always. You best make sure you take good care of these girls, understand? If even one of them comes to me with a complaint, I will march right over there and give you a stern lecture with my slipper!"

Jason blinked, taken aback by the surprisingly fierce threat. A flicker of apprehension stirred within him, which he couldn't help but find amusing. He had faced world-ending monsters without a hint of fear, yet the thought of his mother’s slipper unnerved him.

"Of course, Mum. I promise I'll take good care of them all."

Jason’s words were spoken with absolute sincerity. Mira smiled as she noticed the girls subtly blushing at his declaration. Her son had truly captured their hearts.

’How can I possibly be angry with him? If he brings me such gorgeous daughters-in-law, how can I refuse to accept them!?’

"Ah, yes, Mother, before I forget. I brought you a few gifts as a token of my appreciation for welcoming me into the family. Radanon, please instruct the servants to bring them in."

Mira looked surprised as Hesabeth suddenly spoke, waving her fan towards a soldier nearby. The soldier, who had been holding a whisper stone, quickly bowed and departed. Mira wondered what gifts Hesbeth had prepared. Even Jason, Gina, and Riyala appeared surprised, as Hesabeth hadn't mentioned any gifts. However, Jason knew Hesabeth was incredibly wealthy, making her generosity towards his mother somewhat expected.

The soldier conferred with the guards outside, and Jason turned to see two soldiers carefully bringing a large chest out from one of the carriages. The soldiers carried the chest into the restaurant and placed it at Mira’s feet before opening it. Mira’s eyes shot wide open in shock, and she instinctively took several steps back upon seeing the contents. It was filled with jewels!

Gold coins! Gold necklaces! Sapphire earrings! Emerald bracelets! The chest overflowed with precious gems meticulously crafted into exquisite jewelry! What in the world was this?! Mira felt a wave of dizziness wash over her as she turned to Hesabeth, who spoke with a gentle smile.

"As a symbol of my gratitude for bringing such a wonderful man into this world. I hope you will graciously accept my humble gifts."

"I- I truly cannot accept this, Hesabeth. This is far too extravagant. I... I rarely wear such elaborate jewelry. And the cost... heavens, it must have been a small fortune."

Hesabeth let out a light, amused laugh, dismissing Mira’s concerns with a wave of her fan.

"Nonsense, please. These gifts represent a mere fraction of my treasury. I assure you, I am more than capable of providing such tokens for my family. The jewelry is all of the finest quality, so if you do not find them to your liking, you are free to do as you wish with them. Now, tell me, where are the others?"

"Others!?"

Janet was the one who cried out this time, her voice echoing from the sidelines! The sheer volume of gems contained within the chest Hesabeth bestowed upon Mira had nearly caused Janet to faint! That single chest alone could be valued in the billions! Yet, Hesabeth was now indicating that even more treasures awaited. A smile played on Hesabeth's lips as she observed the astonishment etched on everyone's faces around her, and with a simple gesture, she signaled for the remaining chests to be brought forth. Soldiers began transporting them, and Mira watched as numerous chests were placed at her feet, their contents revealed to be an even greater abundance of jewels and precious stones! Mira's heart began to pound with anticipation when the chests reached ten in number, and by the time the soldiers concluded their task, she had tallied a grand total of twenty-five chests! These chests overflowed with a variety of valuable items! Gems, jewels, fine fabrics, precious metals, and one particular chest was filled exclusively with perfectly faceted diamonds!

Mira turned to her son, her face ashen.

"J-Jason. What am I supposed to do with all of this?"

Jason let out a chuckle. He walked over, placing an arm around his mother's shoulder for support. He pressed a kiss to her temple and assured her that he would assist with whatever she intended to do with the treasures.

"It's a gift from my partner, so please, accept it. I understand you feel it's excessive, but Hesabeth holds the status of a Queen, and such generosity is customary for her. She would be disheartened if you refused."

Jason delivered this with a warm smile. Mira glanced towards Hesabeth, whose face was alight with an expectant smile directed at Mira. It was clear Hesabeth awaited Mira's expression of gratitude for these lavish gifts. Mira suddenly realized Jason was correct! Declining such an offering would undoubtedly wound Hesabeth's feelings! Taking a calming breath, Mira finally offered a smile and extended her hand towards Hesabeth. Hesabeth's countenance brightened considerably, and she moved forward swiftly to embrace her new mother-in-law! Mira spoke to Hesabeth in a soft, affectionate tone.

"Thank you so very much, my dear daughter. I truly appreciate the gifts you have bestowed upon me."

Hesabeth's face glowed with pride upon hearing these words, and Mira found herself unable to suppress the reciprocal smile that graced her own lips! Mira knew that utilizing all of these gifts was an impossibility! The sheer quantity was overwhelming, and Mira considered herself too simple a woman to wear most of this exquisite jewelry! However, Hesabeth had clearly kept Mira in mind when assembling this collection, and Mira recognized Hesabeth's earnest efforts to please her, leading Mira to decide she would accept the gifts. Perhaps a plan could be formed to establish charities or orphanages, which they could then sponsor using the proceeds from some of these valuables. Instead of allowing them to languish unused in her possession, Mira would much prefer to channel them towards helping those in need.
