Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 819: A Murderous Desire
Previously on Strongest Necromancer System...
Stragga surveyed the scene of beautiful, unclothed women asleep around him, a small smile tugging at his lips as he recalled the wild party from the night before. His life had undergone a monumental shift since acquiring superhuman abilities! It was almost unbelievable how he'd gone from an orphan begging for sustenance to becoming the most powerful man on the planet!
Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Master Stragga. Are you awake?"
"Enter."
A grunt escaped Stragga as he heard the repeated knocking, and the door creaked open as someone entered. An elderly butler, exuding a dignified aura, stood there. His short white hair and impeccably trimmed white moustache only enhanced his imposing presence! This was Mr. Vanta, the esteemed butler and steward of the Stragga mansion, also serving as the personal aide to Stragga Yuslev. Upon entering, Vanta's gaze bypassed the scantily clad women and the lingering scent of intimacy that permeated the room. He simply offered a respectful bow to Stragga before speaking.
"A message has arrived for you, Master Stragga."
Stragga grunted, extending his hand to signal Vanta to hand over the message. Vanta approached and presented Stragga with a tablet displaying the communication. As Stragga began to read, Vanta observed his expression intently. He noticed Stragga's brow furrow momentarily before his teeth clenched in anger, unleashing waves of raw rage that emanated from him! This sheer aura alone unsettled everyone present, jolting the sleeping women awake in alarm!
"W-What was that?"
"What's happening!?"
Many recoiled from Stragga in fear, witnessing the fury etched on his face. With an irritated click of his tongue from Stragga, Vanta understood the need to clear the room to avoid further interruption of their discussion! He promptly addressed the women, requesting their immediate departure. His mere suggestion was enough, as the women hastily gathered their belongings and streamed out of the room! Unaware of the cause of Stragga's ire, they wisely chose not to linger in the vicinity of the world's strongest man when he was in such a volatile state! Once the women had exited, Stragga turned his furious gaze to Vanta, growling a question.
"When is he returning?"
Vanta responded with a shake of his head, indicating his ignorance of the matter, and Stragga let out another snarl. The message Stragga received was brief, yet it had the power to make his entire body tremble with fury! The tablet displayed a news report from a reputable American news agency, its headline shouting in all caps: 'JASON MARC IS BACK!'. Across America, news channels buzzed with the revelation of Jason Marc's imminent return. While the report indicated he wasn't yet physically on Earth, the source was deemed credible enough to ensure his return was imminent! The rest of the world might have been erupting in jubilation, but Stragga's heart was consumed by a chilling anger as he contemplated the man.
'The one who seized everything from me.'
Stragga's eyes fell back on the article, his glare fixed upon Jason's image. The picture depicted Jason walking down a street, accompanied by wolf-like companions. Stragga could sense a peculiar aura of power radiating from Jason, even through the static image. It was undeniable - this man possessed immense strength!
In reality, Stragga was among those who eagerly awaited Jason’s return, driven by a singular desire: to end Jason’s life! This wasn't a mere whim; Stragga held an unshakeable conviction that he could defeat Jason and felt he wouldn't find peace otherwise. The thought of challenging and defeating Jason first struck him when news of Jason’s achievements reached Russia. For over a decade, Stragga had reigned as the world’s strongest, enjoying a life superior to any king, with even the Russian president hesitant to confront him. However, upon hearing of a new superhuman in America hailed as the strongest, whispers and doubts began to surface about Stragga’s continued reign. While Jason’s accomplishments were evident and his power undeniable, Stragga refused to accept that a newcomer, with barely five months of comparable power, could possibly match his own strength!
In response, Stragga intensified his efforts within the Gates, striving to regain public favor. Despite his endeavors and the numerous Gates he conquered, it proved impossible to sway the public’s opinion; everyone already recognized Jason Marc as the strongest man alive. Not only was Jason Marc an SSS Rank, but his ability to summon hundreds of formidable monsters rendered him virtually unstoppable. No single individual could withstand such overwhelming might.
Jason Marc had effortlessly claimed the title of Strongest from Stragga. Had this been the extent of Jason’s impact, Stragga’s current fury might not have reached such a boiling point. Yet, his animosity towards Jason Marc escalated dramatically upon hearing that his brother, Yuslev Anthon, had been killed by Jason Marc in America. Stragga acknowledged Yuslev’s perpetually rebellious nature. Ten years prior, Yuslev had accompanied Stragga into the Green Gate, and the horrors witnessed within had profoundly disturbed his mind, leading him down a path of delusion. This trauma fueled Yuslev’s creation of a cult dedicated to his teachings, aiming to reshape the world through his 'New Order' movement. However, the root of Yuslev’s actions lay in the severe trauma he endured. His ambitions initially surfaced in Russia but were easily quelled by Stragga, who attempted to reason with him. Despite this, Yuslev managed to escape Russia, and Stragga was already planning his journey to America to bring him back. Before Stragga could depart, the devastating news arrived: Yuslev had been slain by Jason Marc!
This was no act of justice; it was outright murder! Why would Jason take the life of someone already battling severe mental illness? Did Jason possess any understanding of what the Rulers had witnessed within the Green Gate? Had Jason been present, he would have comprehended that Yuslev's madness was an entirely justifiable reaction. The abominations they encountered within that dimension transcended human comprehension, and the sole reason Stragga maintained his sanity was his superior mental fortitude. Every member of the Rulers bore the scars of trauma from that mission, and Stragga could never forgive anyone who exploited such mental anguish as a pretext to kill a loved one!
