Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 818: The Strongest Man In The World
Previously on Strongest Necromancer System...
Earlier, the head of the SMD had issued a directive, instructing agents to prepare for a meeting with a 'high-profile' individual. Although the head did not explicitly name this important figure, it was crystal clear to everyone present who it must be!
Ding!
The opening of the elevator doors reverberated through the room, causing many agents to snap their attention towards the newcomer. It was the Director of the Riverdale branch of the SMD, accompanied by three other members of the SMD's executive hierarchy! Liam James wore a stern expression as he surveyed the momentarily idle agents, his gaze alone compelling them to resume their duties with renewed urgency. Liam exited the elevator with an aura of command. After more than two months at the helm of the Riverdale SMD, Liam had finally acquired the deep understanding and commanding presence befitting a Director. While his physical appearance hadn't changed drastically, anyone observing him now would readily perceive the stark contrast between the Liam of two months prior and the man standing before them!
Liam was clad in a pristine black suit, with a long grey coat draped over it. Beside him, members of his executive team moved swiftly, engaged in calls and relaying documents to various agencies. Among them was Rosalina, the newly appointed head of Superhuman Relations within the SMD, and Trent, the head of the SMD's Battle Division!
Ring~
As Liam proceeded, his personal phone chirped. He glanced at the caller ID, recognizing it as Florence, his rival from New Jersey, who was currently vying for the Director position there. Liam, possessing sharp insight, immediately grasped the reason for her call. He answered calmly, awaiting her words. Florence posed a single, critical question.
[Is it true?]
Florence's voice was thick with disbelief, yet Liam distinctly detected an undercurrent of desperate hope. Indeed, over the past few months, the absence of Jason had been palpable across America! While Jason's guild had valiantly stepped in to manage numerous gate appearances, the loss of their most potent superhuman without warning had inflicted a significant blow. When Liam first received an unusual message from an individual named Cersei, claiming Jason would be away from Earth temporarily, Liam dismissed it as a fabrication! He had seen Jason just days before his departure and had heard no mention of an impending extended absence. Consequently, when no further news of Jason emerged, Liam was overcome with genuine dread! His fear stemmed not only from America losing its strongest superhuman unexpectedly but also from the terrifying possibility that something formidable had forced Jason into hiding!
Liam was acutely aware of Jason's immense power. If an entity existed that could compel Jason to abandon Earth, what hope would the rest of them possess if they faced an attack in his absence!?
Fortunately, no threat beyond the Monarch Guild's capacity had materialized. And now, nearly three months after Jason’s sudden departure, he was finally slated to return! A wide, excited grin split Liam's face as he responded to Florence's inquiry.
The phone call ended as Liam exited the SMD building. He gazed down the road where a substantial convoy of vehicles had already assembled, anticipating his arrival. Over twenty black Mercedes sedans were present, each staffed by five agents. Their sole purpose was to accompany Liam to meet with Jason. While such a large escort might seem excessive to others for a mere meeting, Liam harbored concerns that for Jason, it might not be sufficient. He would have deployed agents to fill an entire street if feasible, but to avoid creating a spectacle near Mira’s restaurant, he settled on a contingent of a hundred agents.
One of the agents stepped forward, opening the car door for Liam. He offered a nod of acknowledgment and entered the vehicle. Rosalina and Trent, two executive members accompanying him, took their places in the front, with Trent at the wheel. Liam exhaled softly, composing himself before speaking.
"Let’s go."
Vroom~!
The procession of twenty cars departed the street, commencing their journey towards the Marc Restaurant!
....
[Russia]
Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Master Stragga. I bear an urgent message for you!"
Within a dimly lit chamber of a grand mansion in Russia, a powerfully built man with dark skin and long, dreadlocked hair gradually opened his eyes, a nascent frown creasing his brow as the light intruded. He lay upon a vast king-size bed, its soft cotton sheets in disarray. This man was Yulev Stragga, acclaimed globally as the most formidable superhuman ever to exist. He was the mightiest among the Five Rulers who had ventured through the Green Gate years ago, tasked with defending the world against the threat of the Primordials!
Or, at least, that was his former status!
In recent months, Stragga’s reputation as the strongest had begun to wane. People were no longer quick to acclaim him as the most powerful man alive, and the sole reason for this shift was a single individual: Jason Marc! Stragga emitted a low groan and shifted his arm, moving a woman slumbering upon him. She stirred with a soft whine, losing the warmth of his body, and nestled closer to another woman beside her, seeking to regain her warmth!
