Diane unleashed her power, but Jason matched it, revealing a terrifying army. C'thlyanu intervened, stopping the fight and reminding them of the proceedings. While Diane's power was noted, Jason's superior strength was evident, impressing many council members. The discussion then shifted to the strength of Earth's world, with debates arising about its readiness to be considered Rank III.

"I believe we are all overlooking something rather obvious."

Rak’hael finally voiced her thoughts from the side, her gaze fixing on Jason with evident annoyance!

"While the Rubik who brought this up was an imposter, there's no denying that Jason Marc's power far exceeds what is suitable for Earth. Should we truly consider bestowing the title of Overlord upon an individual who, by all accounts, should be classified as a Black Enigma?"

Farlow let out a soft groan of irritation upon hearing Rak’hael's statement, and even Hesabeth wore a frown. Both had hoped this matter would remain unaddressed, but they knew Rak’hael would not let it slide! Though it wasn't the genuine Rubik who raised the point, it was undeniable that Jason's strength was vastly superior to his world's current power level! Jason possessed the capability to subjugate every single Earthling if he so desired, a fact sufficient for the council to deem him an Enigma.

However, before the council could escalate the situation, a tranquil voice resonated through the chamber.

"If I may, I would like to offer a few words."

All eyes turned to Jason as he calmly rose, and the room fell into a profound silence, awaiting his address. Jason released a placid sigh before speaking.

"I understand my Black Enigma designation stemmed from the immense power disparity between myself and the inhabitants of my home world. Yet, I contend this status is no longer applicable, as the people of Earth have achieved significant advancements in strength over the past few months. My fiancée, present here, has also attained TITAN Rank, and numerous individuals on my world are on the cusp of reaching TITAN Rank. As stipulated in the Primordial Treaty, if I am not the sole TITAN Rank existing on a world, the highest Enigma classification I can receive is Red, not Black."

Jason's declaration left many council members stunned, while others, like Hesabeth and Farlow, felt a surge of pride within their chests upon hearing his words! It was clear that amidst the ongoing chaos, Jason had anticipated the potential challenge to his Enigma status and had prepared a flawless countermeasure!

Jason recognized the gravity of the Enigma status for the council, which prompted him to consult the system the previous night, requesting the specific section of the Primordial Treaty pertaining to Enigmas. Upon reviewing the details, Jason realized he could no longer be classified as a Black Enigma, as he was no longer the sole TITAN Rank entity on Earth! He remained perilously close to achieving Black Enigma status, teetering on the edge of becoming a Primordial! But for the present moment, Jason was secure!

"And how do you ascertain that multiple mages are nearing TITAN Rank on Earth? You haven't set foot on your world in over two months, have you? Therefore, unless you possess some form of psychic ability allowing you to observe others remotely, we cannot simply accept your word."

Jason's eyes narrowed at this assertion, and he turned his gaze towards Rak’hael, irritation simmering. Rak’hael met his stare directly, her brow furrowed, expecting either confirmation or denial from Jason. However, Jason had no intention of admitting such a fact! The importance of his ability to monitor others remotely was paramount. If he revealed publicly here that he could utilize his subordinates as a surveillance network, it would make those around him far more wary, rendering his ability useless! Instead, Jason's mind rapidly sifted through numerous potential explanations, formulating a viable one in under three seconds! He responded in a calm, measured tone, concealing his true thoughts perfectly!

"I discussed this matter with the priestess of Radagan, Riyala, prior to the commencement of the trial. Priestess Riyala has been making regular visits to Earth to meet with my mother and the rest of my family. Council member Rak’hael, if you harbor personal grievances against me, I suggest we address those issues outside the scope of your official duties. Your persistent baseless accusations are rather embarrassing."

"You-!"

Rak’hael almost shot to her feet before Jason had even finished speaking! Her face contorted with absolute fury as she glared at Jason. However, C’thlyanu swiftly brought the meeting back to order, compelling Rak’hael to grudgingly take her seat once more while she could only shoot hate-filled glares at Jason. Hesabeth let out a muffled snicker behind her fan, amused by Rak’hael’s easily lost composure. Even Farlow couldn’t suppress a slight smile, witnessing Jason’s adept handling of the situation. T’arigan finally chimed in, corroborating that there were indeed at least three SSS-Rank individuals on Earth. This, he stated, was more than sufficient justification to reduce Jason’s rank from Black to Red. Faced with this undeniable truth, Rak’hael leaned back, annoyance evident on her face.

Though Jason’s Enigma status no longer qualified him as a criminal, it was still significant enough to lower his entire world’s ranking by several points. This meant Jason and Earth were falling slightly behind other worlds. Jason casually looked aside, observing the Bengari women conversing in hushed tones about the proceedings. The warrior guards stationed around Diane buzzed with anticipation of a potential victory, yet Diane herself remained detached from their discussion. Instead, her gaze was fixed directly on Jason, her eyes narrowed with suspicion. A persistent feeling gnawed at Diane; something was amiss. During their recent exchange, it had seemed as though Jason wasn't genuinely aiming to shed his Enigma status. His focus appeared to be on demoting it from Black to Red. Could this indicate a hidden agenda?

Jason offered Diane a faint smile in return. Diane felt her brow twitch, her eyes narrowing further in irritation. She became more convinced than ever that Jason was indeed plotting something. Jason then shifted his attention back to the council as they resumed their deliberations, bringing up the final and most critical condition. The economic standing of the world to which the new Overlord belongs must rank within the top ten percent of worlds in their Primordial Domain. This stipulation held immense importance because, while martial strength was vital for maintaining order, numerous other challenges could only be resolved through financial means and trade. The Primordial Expanse was currently at peace, leaving the council members primarily responsible for diplomacy, commerce, and rectifying infrastructural damage within their respective Domains. Failure to possess the necessary funds to address these issues would inevitably lead to widespread suffering throughout the entire Domain.
