Gina encounters a starstruck young elf maid named Gerael who admires the romanticized stories of Gina's past travels with Jason. Overcome by maternal instincts, Gina playfully bonds with the girl and agrees to meet with the shy princess she serves. Meanwhile, Jason remains trapped within the pocket dimension of Merivo’s Paradise. Despite successfully completing his Blood Metamorphosis, he is forced to wait out the mandatory seven-day duration while monitoring Gina’s steady progress in her Sage training through system notifications.

Jason was fully aware that a stern lecture from Gina awaited him the moment he stepped out. After all, it was his own blunder that had led him to pass out, enabling Hesabeth to take him hostage. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but feel a swell of pride regarding how effectively she had utilized their time. Jason certainly hadn't spent the past week merely lingering in idleness. Throughout the last three days, he had dedicated himself to honing both his Resonance and his Arcane Art. The novel ability he had acquired from Gillian was a revelation, sparking a vision of entirely new possibilities! Possessing additional limbs for combat was an immense advantage, one made all the more potent now that Jason could summon his Shadow Soldiers from his [Land of Lost Shadows] to manifest as lethal assassins within the physical realm.

Devoting a specific section of the estate's garden to his practice, Jason had spent his time striving to master the [Hands of Providence]. While he acknowledged that his proficiency hadn't yet reached the level of Gillian’s, he felt confident enough that they wouldn't hinder his movements in real-life combat.

"Mmmh~"

A soft, melodic murmur arose from his right. Jason turned his head to observe Hesabeth’s peaceful expression as she slumbered. Clad in the same lightweight silk nightgown she had worn for the previous few days, she shifted, pressing her body comfortably against his shoulder with a faint smile. Jason found himself puzzled; rather than opting for the pillow lying right beside her, she had consistently chosen his shoulder as her resting place. It had started two days prior, following a grueling training session for his [Hands of Providence]. Exhausted to the core, she had drifted into a deep sleep the moment her head hit his shoulder. Since her presence was no burden, he had allowed it. However, it had since evolved into a habit; she ignored her pillow entirely in favor of his proximity every single time.

Hesabeth shifted again, pressing her chest against his side, her warm breath gentle against his cheek. Choosing to remain unfazed, Jason directed his attention toward his system. Most men would have surely surrendered to such overt advances from a beauty like Hesabeth, but Jason had weathered far more intense situations with Gina long before they were a couple. There was even an occasion where Gina had slept without a top in his room! By comparison, this was merely child’s play.

[Would the user like to convert [100,000,000] Kill Points to Upgrade Points? (Yes/No)]

Humming to himself, Jason selected 'Yes' and watched as the Kill Points transitioned into Upgrade Points. The recent bloodbaths had proven bountiful; he had decimated countless Machina during the conflict on their homeworld, followed by a campaign of slaughter against the manifestations of the world itself. Despite a lingering frustration that his Alter Ego hadn't resurrected all the fallen Machina, he was content with the significant influx of Kill Points those battles had provided.

‘Furthermore, many of my subordinates have hit their maximum Hierarchy percentage. It seems every subordinate within the Rook Class and above has reached the necessary progression threshold.’

Jason grinned while scrolling through the status tabs detailing his legion’s growth. The only Rooks who hadn't hit the requirement were those who had perished and failed to resurrect quickly enough to keep fighting. Conversely, the more powerful Rooks and the Bishops had all met the criteria. Though his five hundred million Kill Points seemed vast, he realized they would vanish in a heartbeat once he began the mass upgrades.

[The user has successfully converted [100,000,000] Kill Points to [1,000,000] Upgrade Points.]

Jason hummed as he examined his subordinates. He had no intention of burning through a million points at once, yet he knew their utility would be vital in the near future. His primary goal was to bolster the Rooks. Since his Rook count had overtaken his quantity of Pawns, he intended to promote a portion of them to the Bishop class until he reached a total of fifty. First, however, he would focus on the elite: the Bishop Rank I and II subordinates.

[Would the user like to transfer upgrade Points to the selected subordinates? (Yes/No)]

He hit 'Yes' and observed the points flowing into his army.

A potent current of energy cascaded through his frame the moment the upgrades concluded; Jason grinned, savoring the surge. Nevertheless, a quick glance at his own system stats resulted in a frown—his overall attributes had only increased by a mere 5%, despite the significant effort expended. It wasn't as if he could complain; as a TITAN Rank III, the effort of boosting SSS-rank or TITAN Rank I creatures yielded diminishing returns. He understood that resurrecting hundreds of minor Rooks simply wouldn't move the needle anymore. To achieve real progress, he would need to acquire much stronger subordinates. The boost he had just received was primarily thanks to the Bishop Rank III units and the new Knight Rank Beast.

‘Right, I absolutely need to rename that Beast. Calling it the Beast of the Apocalypse is far too long.’

Jason frowned while accessing the beast’s information, lost in thought as he searched for a fitting moniker.
