Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 721: You’re So Cute!

Gina finally shifted her focus to the other maid who had arrived alongside Stella. It was a petite elf girl barely reaching Gina’s waist, staring up at her with a mix of reverence and a faint blush. Having never encountered this maid within the castle, Gina crouched down, hands resting on her knees, and offered a warm smile.
"Hello there. What is your name?"
The little girl jumped, clearly startled out of her reverie, before quickly performing a respectful curtsey.
"M-my name is Gerael! I serve as a personal maid to the Third Princess, Her Highness Lady Heriet! M-may I ask you something!? Is it true that you are the mistress of wind? The woman who crossed the entire Primordial Domain to vindicate her lover?"
Gina blinked, surprised as the girl stepped closer with wide, sparkling eyes. The elf watched her with starry-eyed anticipation, waiting for confirmation of the legendary love story, leaving Gina blushing slightly as she nodded.
"Yes, that is me."
The girl let out a triumphant shriek.
"EEEEEKKK! Your journey is so romantic! I have always dreamed of meeting a Prince Charming, but your tale is even better! Battling against darkness across the world alongside your prince! EEEEEKK!"
Gina was stunned as the young maid launched into an enthusiastic, rapid-fire recount of Gina’s exploits. Tales of Gina’s travels through the Primordial Expanse with Jason had generated massive interest recently; hardly any significant world in the Expanse remained unaware of their deeds. While many outsiders viewed their journey as a noble crusade against a wicked Overlord, praising Jason’s valor, many women interpreted their struggle through a romantic lens. They saw a story of profound love and sacrifice, often looking up to Gina for her unique role, though some harbored envy for her bond with her lover. This narrative had only gained momentum following the council’s investigation into the Machina’s crimes.
Startled that this young girl idolized her, Gina could only watch as she squealed and raved about the 'greatest love story' of the age for well over a minute.
"My princess and I have been following your adventures, and I cannot imagine how frightening it must have been! You actually fought the Beast of the Apocalypse! And you successfully faced the Machina army on three separate occasions! We possess such admiration for your courage! If it is not a burden, would you be open to speaking with the princess as well? She is quite shy, but I know she longs to speak with you! She is among your most dedicated fans!"
As the little maid pressed her hands to her chest with glittering eyes, a surge of intense emotion bubbled up within Gina. Pregnancy had heightened her maternal instincts, and witnessing the girl’s sheer wonder triggered an irrepressible wave of excitement.
"Oh my, you are simply adorable!"
Gina cried out happily, lifting the tiny maid off the floor. Gerael squealed in surprise as she was swung through the air before Gina pulled her close, rubbing their cheeks together affectionately.
"Hahahah! Stop, that tickles! Haha!"
"Oh, you are truly the most precious elf maid ever! So cute! Of course I will visit the princess! Tell her I shall meet her after I have freshened up. If she wishes, we can even dine together!"
Gina pulled back with a radiant smile, and the little elf’s eyes widened instantly.
"Truly? You will?"
"Of course! How could I possibly deny such a lovely face?"
Gina tapped the elf's nose, and with a delighted giggle, the girl tapped into the wind to fly off from Gina’s hand.
"I shall inform the princess immediately! Thank you so much, my Lady! This is wonderful!"
As the girl darted away, Stella remarked from behind.
"Did she forget her primary objective of guiding you to the castle? She is quite clumsy to neglect her duties in such a fashion."
Detecting a hint of disapproval in Stella’s voice, Gina chuckled and waved it off, floating into the air herself. Though she knew Stella was remarkably rigid regarding protocol, Gina intended to protect the girl from trouble.
"Quiet now, she is simply excited. Let us ensure King Farlow remains unaware of this lapse. Come, we should return quickly so I can prepare. I am eager to meet the princess; I suspect she is just as darling as her maid!"

[With Jason and Hesabeth]
Inside the bedroom of the pocket dimension known as Merivo’s Paradise, Jason rested on the bed with his hands clasped behind his head. The artificial sun had long since dipped below the horizon, leaving the world enveloped in the soft glow of the artificial moon. Designed for long-term habitation, Merivo’s Paradise allowed inhabitants to transition back into reality seamlessly, mirroring the day-night cycles typical of the traveler's home world.
Three days had passed since his arrival with Hesabeth. Though Jason had successfully completed his Blood Metamorphosis in just two days—exactly as the system had predicted—and effectively silenced the threat of his Alter Ego, he remained trapped. The Paradise would only unlock after the mandatory seven-day period elapsed. Jason had exhausted all options: he had launched devastating skills at the boundary, traversed the edges of the world searching for an exit, and even attempted to cleave the realm asunder with the Death’s Mirage sword. Nothing availed. Furthermore, his [King Substitution] remained inactive, as the dimension had completely severed his mana from the outside reach. Though he could sense his various subordinates across the Primordial Expanse, he lacked the connection required to leverage his powers.

Jason smiled at the system notifications. Over the last three days, these updates arrived faithfully at the close of each day, confirming that Gina was utilizing their time apart to diligently hone her Sage abilities to grow more powerful.
