Hesabeth communicates via crystal ball, informing Gina and Farlow that Jason rests from exhaustion while undergoing Blood Metamorphosis, necessitating isolation from external magic. Gina demands to see him, her fury at Hesabeth's past actions boiling over, but Hesabeth refuses and faces Farlow's stern warning about council penalties for her unchecked Bias. Accepting impending punishment, Hesabeth assures Jason's safety upon completion of his transformation and urges Gina to train during the week of his absence. The connection abruptly ends, leaving Gina in frustrated rage as Farlow cautions her against damaging the device.

"I would appreciate it if you didn’t destroy that communication device. It is quite rare."

With a frown creasing her forehead, Gina spun toward Farlow and vented her fury in sharp words!

"How can you stay so composed!? Hesabeth has essentially abducted Jason! We must rescue him."

Calmly exhaling, Farlow let Gina’s rage flow past without reaction. As a king, he was accustomed to deference, and such insolence would typically demand reprimand. Yet, grasping the depth of her frustration, Farlow chose to forgive it this one time. In a steady voice, he replied.

"First off, address me with the respect due to our stations. You’re a visitor I’ve welcomed into my realm, and it’s prudent to keep that in mind. Next, Hesabeth didn’t abduct Jason without cause, at least not in the way you think. Her assertion that he requires seclusion to align with his powers holds truth. Every Vympir Dead Apostle endures this process. The abilities bestowed by the Blood Oath overwhelm them, preventing instant full integration. From the recent report, it seems Jason is secure. No matter her arrogance, Hesabeth isn’t deceitful enough to fabricate tales for her gain—her pride forbids it. Finally, I see this as a hidden opportunity for you too."

As King Farlow began his explanation, Gina’s ire softened into remorse upon hearing his call for propriety. She felt indebted to him for her refuge, recognizing her rudeness, but as he went on, bewilderment crept in regarding his point, until curiosity sharpened her gaze and she lifted her eyes to Farlow, inquiring.

"What do you mean by this benefiting me?"

Humming thoughtfully, Farlow pivoted and started strolling away. He gestured for Gina to join, and she trailed after as they exited the comms chamber. Guards stood sentinel while servants bustled with supplies throughout the castle, pausing to bow to Farlow before resuming tasks. A magical enchantment on the ceiling replicated the outer sky perfectly. Radiant sunlight beamed down vividly, with fluffy white clouds meandering across an azure expanse. Though aware they were inside, Gina marveled at the enchanted heavens! Had she arisen there without word of their location, she’d swear they remained outdoors!

During their stroll, Gina spotted a secluded structure afar, detached from the rest—a solitary tower with a single sun-facing window, no visible door for entry. It struck her as odd, yet Farlow’s brisk pace left no chance for closer inspection before she hurried to keep up. Minutes later, after silent steps, Farlow at last addressed her.

"Upon our initial encounter, I was unsure how to regard you. Your mage talents were evident, pursuing a rare magical avenue few attain. Yet, I never anticipated you’d master it so swiftly. Tell me, when first did the voice of nature reach your ears?"

Glancing up at the towering figure, Gina instantly grasped his implication. Farlow had long believed in her potential for Sagehood since their meeting, hence his guidance toward it. But achieving it in under three months stunned him! Pride swelled within Gina, knowing she’d exceeded even Farlow’s lofty hopes, and she responded with poise.

"About a month ago, I unlocked those powers. It happened amid a clash with the Beast of the Apocalypse on Hanir. We misjudged its might, nearly perishing in its gale, so I pushed myself to uncover that route and redirect the blasts."

A flicker of astonishment crossed Farlow’s features as he pondered her account. Honestly, he was taken aback that Gina had attained Sagehood period! From his knowledge, such enlightenment couldn’t be coerced in combat’s heat, proving elusive under duress! Awakening it against the Beast of the Apocalypse, while so novice, defied all norms! Gina’s feat shattered conventions, drawing a light laugh from Farlow. Noticing her puzzled stare at his amusement, he dismissed it with a hand and continued.

"You and Jason seem an ideal pair. Both of you defy conventional limits. I rarely guide anyone here, as it’s hallowed ground for my kin, but the wind spirits assure me you’ll gain immensely, so I bestow this privilege upon you."

Surprise widened Gina’s eyes as she realized they’d left the peculiar castle behind, now traversing Arandelle’s vast woodland. She questioned.

"Where exactly are we headed?"

Shaking his head, Farlow urged her onward, and Gina complied for the moment. Lingering resentment stirred as she recalled Jason’s captivity under Hesabeth, tempting her to insist priorities lay with his rescue! Yet, the forest’s serene aura enveloped her, tempering fury into clear thought, leading her to heed Farlow and discover his intent first. Unfamiliar with the Blood Oath’s nature or if Blood Metamorphosis endangered Jason, she knew contact was impossible while he slumbered, placing faith in his eventual awakening and outreach.

Elves numbered in the hundreds, weaving through the woods, many casting inquisitive glances her way. Tree-bound children halted play to peer at Gina and Farlow with wonder, and she grinned, waving to an adorable elven lass peeking from her mother’s flowing dress, cheeks tinged pink. The girl’s flush deepened at the gesture, prompting a swift retreat behind the gown! Delighted by the child’s charm, Gina inhaled deeply, savoring nature’s embrace. Elves coexisted blissfully with their surroundings, a bond Gina felt permeating all, the woods reciprocating their affection equally.
