Agiel delays her mission to monitor Jason, who is pushing his Resonance limit despite system warnings. Meanwhile, Jason's Earth Defense Force grows stronger, with hundreds of new TITAN-ranked individuals and successful missions across parallel worlds. Jason gains new TITAN-rank skills, Ray Vision and Teleport, and advances in his Knight Unique Skill Tree, unlocking the Teleportation skill for his subordinates.

But when the notifications came in this time, Jason had to glance at the system tab for just a moment when he saw that he had also gotten a new legion skill. The teleportation skill seemed like a limited ability, but when Jason read through the description, he realised that this was a very useful skill! The ability to teleport through obstacles and over any distance so long as you follow the ’L’ rule was something that would prove very useful in the future, and Jason made up his mind to try out the skill once he had a chance!

[The user’s Resonance level has reached 35%]

’Ngh!’

Jason grunted in exertion as he felt the pressure on his body growing, and Jason had to bring his focus back to his training! The combination of Qi and Mana was trying to tear through Jason’s body right now! Although Jason was a PRIMORDIAL Rank I, he was currently wielding enough power to be seen as a PRIMORDIAL Rank II, and this power was almost too much for his core to handle. But Jason refused to stop! Forty percent was Jason’s goal, and Jason would reach it no matter what.

Jason continued to push his body past its limits as he sent even more Qi to mix in with his mana! The area around Jason’s body began to crack and splinter as the pressure became too much, and there was a large depression forming on the ground, like Jason was holding the weight of an entire world on his shoulders and the ground just couldn’t bear the weight!

Up on the gallery overlooking the training ground below, Gina’s eyes were narrowed in worry as she watched Jason push himself even further!

"We have to stop him. He’s going too far."

Agiel spoke up while stepping forward, but Gina put her hand on Agiel’s shoulder and shook her head to stop her. Gina knew that Agiel might not like it, but this was something Jason needed to do for himself. Gina knew that Jason was only pushing himself because he wanted to prepare for what was coming later. If they kept trying to stop Jason, then they would only be holding him back.

Behind Gina and Agiel, Stella was also watching with a slightly worried expression on her face. But Stella wasn’t worried about Jason’s physical health. Stella knew that as an Avaran, Jason’s body was built to handle extreme punishment, so Stella was a lot more confident that Jason could raise his strength to whatever he wanted to. What Stella was really worried about was Jason’s mental health. Jason already told them that he would be going into the Uncharted Zone very soon, and Stella had heard stories about the sort of creatures and beasts that exist in that zone. If Jason tried to move too fast in the Uncharted Zone because he was desperate to become stronger, then there was a chance he would be killed.

’I just have to look out for master. I’ll make sure he comes back home no matter what.’

While Stella was making her declaration, Jason was still pushing himself even further. Jason literally felt like he was about to die. Every cell in his body was begging him to stop, but Jason tensed his body and commanded his nerves to calm down, and it was only after he had gained some sort of peace that Resonance finally went up again.

Jason felt a huge surge of excitement rising from deep inside his heart, and he was about to celebrate, but at that next moment, Jason realised that the feeling in his heart wasn’t excitement at all! It was a sudden surge of energy that was rising through his PRIMORDIAL Core.

’Shit, it’s going to fucking explode!’

Jason realised that he was in danger, and he immediately diverted all his energy towards his left arm!

KA-BOOM!

A massive explosion tore through the training room as the excess Resonance energy poured out from Jason’s body, and all three girls watching from the balcony felt their eyes widen in shock when they saw what happened!

"Jason! Are you okay?"

Gina called out immediately while leaning over the balcony, and Jason quickly spoke up.

"Yeah, I’m fine! Cough! It’s alright!"

Jason coughed, and he waved away the smoke around his body with his right hand before he looked down at his left arm that had been completely burnt and destroyed by the Resonance Energy. Jason sighed in annoyance, and he activated a Qi skill.

[Phoenix Aura]!

A crimson fire erupted around Jason’s left arm, and the burnt and charred skin immediately began to heal back up. Skin knit back together with nerves and blood vessels closing once again, and it wasn’t long before the entire arm was back to normal. Jason flexed his fingers a few times to make sure everything was working properly before he stood up while clicking his tongue in annoyance.

’I need to find a way to avoid getting injured next time. I can’t be getting injured while fighting someone far stronger than me.’

WOOSH!

CAW!

The sound of a bird flying through the air drew Jason’s attention, and Jason looked up to see the Phoenix, Helios, circling over his head. Jason raised his left hand, and Helios came down and landed on it with its sharp talons. In the past week, Jason and Helios had also grown a lot closer. Jason knew that he needed to build his relationship with Helios if he wanted to become a stronger Qi practitioner and use some of the Phoenix skills that Helios could use, so Jason had been spending time with the bird and going on missions together. After this week, the only skills Jason had learned were the healing skill [Phoenix Aura] and the attack skill [Phoenix Bomb], but those skills were still extremely overpowered, so Jason knew he just had to work harder to get the others.

Helios had also grown, both in its power and in its size. It had once only been large enough to reach Jason’s thigh. But now it was large enough to reach Jason’s waist, and its body was far stronger. Jason rubbed the phoenix’s feathered belly with a grin, and the phoenix preened as it spoke.

<Master needs to get better at skill. Healing rate too slow.>

Jason laughed at Helios’ statement, and he ruffled his feathers playfully! It was true that Jason took too long to heal the arm. Usually, an injury like that shouldn’t even take two seconds, but it took almost five seconds for Jason to regenerate the arm. That wasn’t good enough.

The user has gained 15 Rook Rank III subordinates.

"Babe! Are you done with training? If you’re hungry, come up and join us for dinner."

Gina suddenly called out from the balcony, and Jason turned to her with a smile and activated [Teleport]. Jason vanished from where he was and appeared on the balcony beside Gina, and Gina turned in shock since she had never seen him use the skill before.

"You just got a new skill?"

Jason hummed with a smile, and he kissed Gina softly before putting his hand out towards Agiel.

"Hi, love."

Agiel came over and kissed Jason as well before she said:

"I’m worried about you."

Agiel’s face was squeezed with concern as she looked at Jason’s left hand, and Jason told her that he was really fine. The injury didn’t even hurt. But Agiel shook her head since that wasn’t what she was talking about. Agiel was worried that Jason was pushing himself too much.

"You’ve been training for hours every day, haven’t you? When was the last time you got proper sleep?"
