Jason opened a dimensional tear to Tarisavia and deployed his Legion subordinates. He then entered the world and immediately activated the Extreme Distortion rune, incapacitating all mages within a five-mile radius, including Theosis and the Space Apostle, Bathseda, just as he felt the pressure of Resonance.

Jason’s Resonance was not a skill that announced itself with intensity! It was a quiet, unassuming power that appeared like the most harmless thing in the world! The single drop of Resonance released by Jason shone like the whitest snow as it floated down to the mountaintop like a feather falling from the sky. There was no intense vibration or sudden tremors that announced its arrival! It was quiet and peaceful. But the moment the Resonance dropped on the surface of the mountain, and then sank into the mountaintop, the world of Tarisavia erupted!

KA-BOOM!

It was an explosion unlike anything ever seen before! Jason had put his hand to his forehead in pain since he was also being affected by the distortion, but once the explosion tore through the air, it managed to not only destroy the mountain, but it also sent a vicious wave of mana shooting through the air at such an insane pace that it completely eradicated the [Extreme Distortion] rune and pushed Jason back by several hundred meters! There was a magical shield that had been erected around the Mind Apostle’s mansion to protect them from most attacks, but the explosion easily tore through that as well and blew the mansion away!

Jason easily stopped himself from flying back, and he looked down to see that the mountain, as well as all the buildings that had been around it, had been completely eradicated! They had all been reduced to rubble, and most of them were lying on the surface of the large lake below, scattered in different directions! It looked like a high-magnitude earthquake had hit this place right after an atomic bomb explosion, and Jason narrowed his eyes at the rubble before he immediately activated [Arcane Radar]! The skill immediately began to search through the entire area to pinpoint the exact location of the Mind Apostle, and Jason turned to the east to see the main mansion that had been blown to pieces by his attack. There were multiple signals coming from inside that mansion, and Jason knew that the Mind Apostle was in there along with other creatures or people that the Mind Apostle had used his Arcane Art on.

"Find him."

This was all Jason had to say, and in the next moment hundreds of subordinates fell out of Jason’s Alternate Dimension and immediately began to head down to the rubble! The subordinates crashed into the ground before quickly making their way into the ruined mansion. The world was still shaking from the Resonance explosion, and there was a massive wave of water from the lake that had washed across the region and filled up most of the area with floods, but since the entire kingdom had been empty for so long, there was no need for Jason to worry about killing anyone. Jason floated down to the ground, and he allowed his subordinates to handle the search while he began walking into the mansion slowly.

....

[Inside the Mansion]

Everything had been destroyed! The mansion that had once been a beautiful haven filled with wonderful artefacts, priceless paintings, and golden statues, but now it was all in ruins! All of the Mind Apostle’s servants were lying on the floor, scattered across the mansion pitifully. Some of them had been lucky enough to survive the blast, and they were only injured and unconscious, but there were many others who were not so lucky, and they had died the moment the explosion rang out!

The room in the centre of the mansion, where the Mind Apostle kept his true body, was one of the places that had been affected the most. The roof had come down, and most of the walls had broken apart! The walls had been destroyed all around the large cylindrical room, but the emancipated body that had been sitting on the throne in the middle of the room was still perfectly protected!

The Apostle of Mind had recognised that he was in trouble the moment Jason appeared in this world, and rather than allowing Jason’s attack to land first, the Apostle had called on all of the homunculi that he had created, and the Mind Apostle commanded them to form a shield of bodies around his main body! The homunculi had happily sacrificed their bodies to form a perfect cocoon around the Apostle of Mind, and they made sure that he was unharmed by the explosion!

The massive pile of bodies was lying in the middle of the room, and it took a few long moments before one of the bodies began to move, and it slowly shifted its weight away from the throne before falling to the ground. Then another body also fell to the side, and then a third. And after most of the bodies lying there took themselves away from the throne, they finally revealed the emaciated and sickly body of the Apostle of Mind hunched over on the massive stone chair.

’W-What the hell was that?’

The Mind Apostle was utterly confused about the sequence of events that had just taken place. Not only the sudden spike in mana, but also the headache and the explosion that followed. Everything had happened so fast that he hadn’t been able to keep up, and the only reason why he managed to survive the explosion was because he was quick enough to call all his homunculi to protect him with their bodies!

The Mind Apostle sent out a message to some of his homunculi to come and help him get up, and he cursed when he noticed that none of the homunculi in the room were moving. Some of them twitched and shook like they wanted to get to their feet, but they were all so injured that they couldn’t even do that! Even the mind-controlled slaves that had been scattered around the mansion were also injured, and the Mind Apostle realised that he would have to move his original body by himself if he wanted to go anywhere.

The Mind Apostle shifted his attention towards the homunculi that were outside the mansion. The homunculi that the Mind Apostle kept inside the mansion had been built to serve as his body for when he was moving around or going out, but the homunculi and slaves the Mind Apostle left outside the mansion were all meant to serve as guards or protectors. Those homunculi had been filled with an unbelievable amount of aggressive mana, and they were programmed to activate and attack any unwanted intruder the moment they appeared! But the Mind Apostle was shocked when he connected with the homunculi outside, and he saw that they were already being attacked by hundreds of magical creatures that were tearing them apart! None of the homunculi would be able to get away to come and help him!

The Mind Apostle let out a harsh breath through grit teeth before he activated his final Arcane Art Attribute.

All this time, the Mind Apostle had only been using two of the Attributes of his Arcane Art in all of his missions. The reason for this was simply because those two were the only Attributes that he could use without exerting or consuming too much of his stamina. Just like the Shadow Arcane Art, which had two simple Attributes — the Shadow Walker and the Hands of Providence — and one high-level Attribute, which was the alternate dimension [Land of Lost Shadows], the Mind Art also had two low-level Attributes and one high-level Attribute. The low-level Attributes were the Mind Corruption and the Mind Transfer Attributes, and the one high-level Attribute was called [Zone of Influence].
