Jason's defeat of the Celestial of Death caused shockwaves across the Primordial Expanse, with many powerful beings returning home to discuss the unprecedented event. Jason, however, remained hidden, instructing Earth to go into lockdown. Meanwhile, the disgraced Apostle Theosis, desperate to undo his mistakes after failing to acquire Agiel, plotted revenge. He intended to target Jason's family, but found Riyala and Jason's other relatives inaccessible. Even Bathseda refused to help Theosis breach Earth's defenses due to Jason's protection.

"Sicario told us to leave Jason alone, but you’ve refused to listen."

Theosis frowned in annoyance when Behtseda said this, and Theosis spoke with an irritated look on his face.

"Do not be foolish, Bathseda. I never said I was attacking that thieving fool. I am only trying to teach him a lesson. He has stepped out of line one too many times, and I must teach him that he cannot simply do whatever he wishes! Are you asking me to sit back and allow him to walk over me!? I will do no such thing! I will take one of his family members from him and ensure he understands his place! How exactly am I stepping out of line by doing this!? It won’t affect our plans at all, so do not lecture me about Sicario’s wishes!"

Theosis was rightfully angry, and Bathseda gave Theosis a look of disbelief that showed just how silly Bathseda thought Theosis was being! Did Theosis not understand the irony of what he had just said!? Theosis thought Jason had stepped out of line, but from the perspective of the Court of Apostles and Sicario, Theosis was the one who had stepped out of line one too many times. And Bathseda knew that Theosis was only going to make things worse if he tried to attack Jason’s family members now!

Jason was a very family-oriented person, and Bathseda had heard the stories of how vengeful Jason could become when his family members were involved! Bathseda knew that one of the only reasons why Jason wasn’t coming after them with as much intensity as he could was because they had never actually threatened Jason’s family before. The Court had never attacked any of Jason’s family members directly, and that was why Jason wasn’t giving them his full attention! If Theosis went forward with this plan and actually managed to kidnap — or even worse, kill — one of Jason’s family members, then they could all forget their plans! There was nothing that would stop Jason from tearing every domain apart just to get them! Bathseda refused to be a part of such a foolish plan!

"I am sorry, Theosis, but I will not be helping you with this foolishness. If you wish to attack Jason’s family and draw his wrath upon you, then you will have to find a way to do it yourself. But if you ask for my opinion, I would suggest you forget this foolishness and simply stay still. Sicario will summon us soon for a meeting, and he will give us information on the next phase of the plan. Do not do anything that will jeopardize what we have worked hard to accomplish."

This was the only thing Bathseda had said to Theosis before vanishing into a Dimensional Tear and returning to their lab, and Theosis had been so angry at that answer that he actually thought about taking control of Bathseda’s mind and forcing them to help him! But Theosis knew that doing that would only make Sicario even angrier since it would affect their plans, and Theosis was forced to spend the next few days stuck in the world of Tarisavia while thinking of how he was going to get his revenge on Jason.

Theosis had refused any visits from any of his mind-controlled slaves, and he had become a recluse who spent all his time sitting indoors and trying to come up with a plan for revenge. But as Theosis was going through all of this, Theosis had no idea that he would be meeting Jason much sooner than he thought!

....

[The World of Ventag]

[One Dimensional Leap Away from Tarisavia]

The world of Ventag was one of the closest worlds to Tarisavia. Ventag was occupied by many diverse races that were spread across the entire world, but the major race existing here was known as the Toulli. They were a race of rat-like creatures with the bodies of men along with rat ears and tails, and they had survived for a very long time by hiding and running away from any form of war that came close to their world! The Toulli had once been enslaved by the Tarisavians, but after the Tarisavia dynasty fell, the Toulli were able to return to their world, and they repopulated until they became the new dominant species once again!

Most of the Toulli lived in small, undeveloped towns and villages spread out across the world. They were capable of using magic, but since their magic was very weak, they were still only seen as a Rank II world.

In one of the major cities in Ventag, the Toulli were moving around and going about their day. There was a massive market in the middle of the city where the Toulli went to buy and sell their goods, and the sound of laughter and children playing echoed throughout the city. But there was a sudden jolt that went through the body of every single Toulli present as they felt a wave of mana wash over them, and the Toulli all turned to look towards the Eastern region of the city to see that a large Dimensional Tear was opening!

"RUN!"

The Toulli didn’t even wait to see what was coming through the Dimensional Tear or if it was a friend or foe! For the cowardly Toulli, any unexpected visitor to their world was immediately seen as a threat to their existence, and their first instinct was always to run away from it as quickly as possible! The rat-like creatures dropped to their hands and feet and scurried away from the city like real rats! Children were carried away, and both sellers and buyers abandoned their goods immediately!

From within the Dimensional Tear, Jason walked out calmly and looked around with a narrowed gaze as all the rat-like creatures ran away from him. Jason didn’t really care about what the Toulli did, so he simply ignored them and allowed them to escape from the city. Jason put his hands in his coat pockets before he began walking through the city with a hard look on his face as he headed towards his destination.

Jason had gone back home a few minutes ago to drop Agiel off at his mansion. Although Agiel wanted to come here with him, Jason had told her to return home since this was something that she couldn’t get involved with at her current power level. Jason also refused help from Stella and the others. Jason knew that the Mind Apostle was a very dangerous enemy, and it wouldn’t be difficult for the Mind Apostle to take over the minds of anyone who joined him. Even people like Stella or Valeria, who most likely had abilities that prevented them from falling under mind control, wouldn’t be safe from the Mind Apostle’s power!

Agiel could have helped Jason by using the Erasure of Origin, but Jason knew that this wasn’t enough. Although [Erasure of Origin] worked on the Mind Control attribute of the Mind Arcane Art, Jason knew that this was only one out of three attributes that the Mind Apostle could use. If Agiel came here, then there was a chance she would fall under any of the other two Attributes that the Mind Apostle could use! And since it would take a while for them to gain a proper understanding of the other Attributes for them to use [Erasure of Origin], Jason just didn’t think it was worth it!

Jason knew he could resist anything the Mind Apostle threw at him because of the system, so it was best for Jason to do this alone. The only other person Jason believed might be able to resist the Mind Apostle was Gina, since she had the system connected to her mind as well, but since Gina was pregnant, there was no chance of her joining Jason! So Jason would have to do this alone with his undead Legion!
