Jason returns to Earth with Agiel after dealing with the Celestial of Death. His subordinates search for a ring on the desolate world of Riara, while his subordinates Helios and Ragnar enjoy their freedom. Jason briefs Kalum on the Celestial Cloud events, and Agiel rests after her ordeal. Jason anticipates a meeting with the Overlords regarding his actions on Jadar but feels protected by Farlow's arrangements. Meanwhile, Valeria warns Jason about Gregory's movements and the King's Guard, prompting Jason to inquire about the Uncharted Zone.

The Uncharted Zone was one of the most easily recognizable places amongst mercenaries and high-ranking members of the underworld. It was a Zone just outside of the First Domain in the Primordial Expanse where crime, piracy, and mass murder were the norm! This zone was actually meant to be the zeroth domain that would’ve been led by an extra overlord, but the worlds in that zone were so ungovernable that it was decided that it would be best if they were left out of the other domains! Valeria wondered why Jason would be asking her about something like that.

In truth, Jason had only learned about that place very recently. During Jason’s search through the first domain for the world where the Celestial of Death used to live, Jason had also sent a few subordinates towards the Zeroth Domain since it was so close to the first domain, and what Jason had seen in there had been utterly insane! In just the first world that Jason arrived in, there was already a massive war ravaging the entire world, and the people in that world were being killed and burnt alive by a band of pirates that called themselves the Pyromans.

The scene had been utterly brutal, and even from where the subordinate was watching from a far distance away, Jason could tell that those Pyromans were powerful! Each of them would be in the TITAN Rank, and there were some really powerful ones that were even in the Primordial Rank! It had been so bad that the subordinates who were spying on the pirates ended up getting killed when one of the pirates noticed them through the shadows!

’That’s where I need to go. I need to make my way into the heart of that place and find more powerful people to fight if I want to grow stronger.’

Jason realised that this was exactly what he needed! Right from the moment Jason heard about the zeroth domain from the Celestial of Death, Jason already knew that going into that land of madness was the only thing that would enable him to absorb enough Primordial essence to finally reach Primordial Rank III. If Jason ever wanted to reach the level of the Celestials one day, Jason needed to go out there.

"Are you planning to go to the Uncharted Zone?"

Valeria spoke up when she noticed the contemplative look on Jason’s face, and Jason hummed once again and put his hand out as Helios swooped down! The large phoenix landed on Jason’s arm and let out a cry, and Valeria jolted slightly from the sudden action before glaring at the bird! Jason reached into his Alternate Dimension and pulled out another infernal rat, and Valeria’s face scrunched up in disgust as Helios clamped down on the rat and took off once again! Where the hell did Jason get that rat from?

Jason ignored Valeria’s look, and he spoke.

"Yes, I plan to head in there. It’s unlikely that Gregory will be hiding in any of the ten main domains since there are so many people keeping an eye on them. If he wants to hide, then it has to be out there."

That made sense to Valeria and she went silent for a few seconds before she spoke up.

"Then I want to come with you."

Jason raised a brow at Valeria, and he saw her giving him a hard look filled with absolute seriousness. Valeria was not going to back down and Jason shook his head.

"I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m not planning to look after anyone while I’m in there."

"Who says you have to look after me? I’m more than capable of looking after myself! I need to get stronger as well! Gregory... Gregory was the one who put my mother in a coma! He almost killed her for nothing! I won’t forgive him! I’ll kill him with my own two hands!"

Valeria felt a surge of anger go through her when she heard what Jason said! Valeria had always had a complex about the idea of independence! When she was little, Valeria had been under the care of her mother and father. Valeria spent most of her time in her mother’s home world, but she also visited Richard on Avaran many times. But after Valeria’s mother was attacked by Gregory and crippled, Valeria realised that she couldn’t depend on anyone but herself! If Valeria wanted to survive in this world, then she needed to become strong enough to not need anyone!

"I’ve been living on my own and travelling through the Primordial Expanse for close to a hundred years. You have no right to tell me what I can or can’t do. I’m coming with you no matter what, and when we meet Gregory, I’m the one that’ll kill him."

Jason looked into Valeria’s hard gaze, and he saw that she was dead serious. Jason had spoken to Harold a while ago, and Jason already heard everything about what happened between Gregory and Valeria’s mother, so Jason could understand why Valeria was so desperate to fight Gregory herself. But if the stories Jason had heard about Gregory were right, then there was no way Valeria would be able to do any damage to him with her current level of power! Hendrix painted Gregory as a powerhouse beyond anything he had ever seen, and Valeria was only a TITAN Rank II. If she wanted to fight Gregory, then she would definitely need to get stronger. But Jason’s eyes suddenly narrowed as he remembered something, and Jason had to ask:

"Aren’t you broke?"

Valeria recoiled in shock when she heard this, and she blinked a few times as she registered what Jason had just said! Jason raised a brow at her in amusement, and Valeria felt her cheeks heating up as she realised that Harold must’ve told Jason about her gambling habit! Valeria spoke angrily!

"I-I’m not broke! I just... I have trouble with money, that’s all! Besides, who said anything about money here? I don’t need money to travel to the Uncharted Zone."

"Yeah, maybe you don’t need it to travel to the Uncharted Zone, but you need it to get food and supplies to survive. Or do you plan to fight off all the pirates and mercenaries over there every time you want to steal a loaf of bread?"

Valeria’s face fell slightly as she saw the sense in Jason’s logic. Going into the Uncharted Zone without preparing properly was a death sentence, even for someone as powerful as she was. Valeria couldn’t blame Jason for not taking her seriously right now. Valeria turned away from Jason and frowned at the distance. Jason finally let out a quiet huff, and he reached out and ruffled Valeria’s hair softly.

"Fine, I’ll think about it."

Valeria was already reaching up to hit Jason’s hand away when he ruffled her hair, but she stopped as she heard what Jason said! Was he serious!? This question was painted all over Valeria’s face, and Jason easily noticed how shocked she was! Jason smiled at her, and Valeria felt her ears grow red as she quickly took a step away to stop Jason from patting her head.

"Yeah, you better think about it. I-It’s not like I’m begging you or anything. I’ll be fine even if you say no because I’m going anyway!"

Jason huffed at Valeria’s horrible acting, and he turned around to see someone else approaching them from a distance. This time, it was Gina, and Jason felt a smile grow on his face as he saw her holding her protruding stomach while walking towards him.
