Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1033: Dance of The Dying Man

Harold activates a rune to draw in visitors, but Jack is quickly incapacitated by the arrival of Valeria Marc. Valeria, a member of the Dragonclaw mercenary group, attacks Jack with a flaming sword. She then turns her attention to Reaynar, who recognizes her and acknowledges Valeria's formidable skills despite her lower rank. Valeria explains she was coming to help Harold after receiving a desperate letter, and felt his distress signal, prompting her to intervene.

Clang!

Valeria kept her footing strong and braced herself against all of Reaynar’s attacks as she did her best to counter the more powerful woman! But as time went on, Valeria could tell that this battle was going to end in Reaynar’s victory!

Clang!

Reaynar pushed Valeria back and activated a sword skill that sent a blast of mana straight towards Valeria! Valeria dodged it and countered with a fire-based skill that pushed Reaynar back two steps! But Reaynar was right back on the offensive before any time had even passed, and Valeria narrowed her eyes as Reaynar began to gather a lot of mana for a massive skill! In that moment, Valeria knew that she couldn’t allow Reaynar to activate this skill! The amount of mana being gathered in that skill was far above what a TITAN Rank skill should need!

’A PRIMORDIAL Rank skill!’

Valeria realised that Reaynar was about to go all out for this one last attack, and Valeria decided that she would do that same thing! There was a skill in Valeria’s arsenal that she had acquired after defeating the strongest TITAN Rank III that she had ever faced! Valeria did not enjoy using this skill because it put too much strain on her body and prevented her from having control over her actions for a while, but Valeria knew that if she was going to win this, then she needed to go all out!

Valeria’s body began to glow with an intense mana as the earth trembled under her feet! She took up a sword stance unlike anything she had ever used before! Her body was in a charging position with her blade drawn back towards her chest, and then she activated two things at the same time!

The first was a TITAN Rank artefact called [Automatic Evasion] that would allow her to dodge any attack that was directed towards her for the next five minutes! This artefact had a very limited number of uses, so Valeria always saved it for when she was fighting very powerful opponents! And the second thing that she activated was a sword skill!

[Dance of the Dying Man: First Step]!

BOOM!

Valeria dashed forward with the force of a charging rocket, and Reaynar’s eyes widened in shock as she saw Valeria appear in front of her one second later!

WOOSH!

Valeria brought her sword down in a perfect vertical slash, and Reaynar brought her blade to block it! But Valeria immediately transitioned into another move with perfect fluidity, and Reaynar had to scramble to block that one as well!

Clang!

There were three moves in the first step, and Reaynar was able to block all of the moves, but once Reaynar started to think that she had avoided the attack, Valeria took it up another level!

[Second Step]!

Valeria’s moves became even more deadly! She danced around like the waves of a tornado as she sent multiple slashes towards Reaynar, and Reaynar backpedalled as she did her best to avoid or block all of it! None of the attacks on their own were dangerous enough to hurt Reaynar, but the combination of all these attacks was just far too dangerous for Reaynar to keep up with!

Slash!

Reaynar grunted as she received a long cut along her shoulder, and she growled angrily as she tried to send a blast of wind towards Valeria!

[Automatic Evasion]!

Valeria spun around the skill with such ease and fluidity that Reaynar was stunned for a moment, and in the next moment, Valeria transitioned into another moveset!

[Third Step]!

Valeria’s moves became even more deadly! Her sword moved with higher precision! Her stance flowed with greater ease! The sword was only a blur of motion now, as every slash was sent towards Reaynar’s head! Every move was designed to kill! Every step was designed to push back! Valeria was no longer a living creature at this moment! She was a sword! A sword whose only purpose was to eradicate the enemy in front of her!

Clang!

The only thing that prevented Reaynar from losing her head was her own unbelievably fast reflexes! Reaynar completely ignored all the slashes that were sent towards her body, and she blocked everything that was aimed at her head to make sure she wasn’t decapitated!

Reaynar was quickly getting pushed back, and she knew that it was only a matter of time before she was hit with an attack that would get past her guard! But Reaynar still had a trick up her sleeve that could change the tide of this entire battle! Reaynar had been charging up a PRIMORDIAL Rank skill inside of her all this time, and although it took some time, it was finally ready!

Reaynar blocked three more slashes from Valeria while standing her ground! Valeria’s hits were consecutive and precise, but they were also predictable at this point, and Reaynar managed to learn the pattern very quickly! At the moment when Reaynar noticed that Valeria would step back to launch a new attack, she immediately planted her feet and activated the PRIMORDIAL level skill!

[Ice Fortress]!

A wave of ice as large as a mountain suddenly erupted to life in front of Reaynar and froze everything for miles! The ice surged forward and upwards and formed massive spikes that looked like siege protectors, and Reaynar took a step back while breathing heavily! That skill had taken a lot away from her, and her stamina was already extremely low!

’I can’t believe someone in a lower rank than me pushed me this far. I knew that royal children were all talented, but this is outrageous!’

Back when Reaynar had only been a member of the church on Avaran, she had heard about how talented the royal children were, and although Reaynar believed many of the rumors, she never thought that their talent would be this immense! Reaynar felt like she was going to pass out from how exhausted she was, but at least the battle was over now, and she would finally be able to get some rest!

[Fourth Step]!

Reaynar’s eyes widened in shock as she felt a surge of mana shoot through the air, and she turned towards the ice fortress behind her while wondering what the hell was going on!? How was Valeria still alive in there! This was a PRIMORDIAL level skill! It should’ve frozen her to death!

But what Reaynar didn’t know was that the [Automatic Evasion] artefact had still been active when that attack landed, and the evasion did not only apply to direct attacks on the individual! It also applied to AOE skills like the [Ice Fortress]!

In the moment the [Ice Fortress] had hit, Valeria had activated the [Fourth Step], and she managed to create a wall of slashes around herself that prevented any ice from consuming her! And now that she had some space to move, Valeria took her attack one step higher!

[Fifth Step]!

[Aura of Fire]!

[Strength Multiplier]!

DOON!

The Ice Fortress shook as Valeria’s body turned red from an intense heat that gathered around her, and runes began to form across her face and arms as she increased her power even more! Valeria positioned her blade properly before she shot forward like a rocket!

BOOM!

Valeria burst free from the ice fortress in a spray of steam and ice, and Reaynar was so stunned by Valeria’s feat of strength that she nearly forgot that she was meant to defend herself! Reaynar quickly tried to bring up her sword to block, but it was already too late!

Stab!

Valeria’s sword dug into Reaynar’s shoulder, and Valeria roared as she activated a skill!

[Internal Combustion]!

KA-BOOM!

Reaynar screamed as her body was suddenly enveloped in intense flames!
