Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1032: The Mercenary Vs. The King’s Guard

Jack realised that Harold had been wasting time so he could set up the rune that would allow him to synchronize the magic in this region!

’No, he wasn’t setting it up in this entire region; he was setting up the rune in that area alone. He knew that someone would try to come to this world through a dimensional tear over there, and he drew us in that direction so he could make it easier for them to open the Dimensional Gate! I heard he was a genius, but I didn’t think he could do something like this in mere seconds!’

The magic in the region suddenly doubled in intensity, and Jack quickly told Reaynar to grab Harold!

"Take him away from here! I’ll deal with whoever’s coming!"

Reaynar nodded, and she quickly ran to do that, but she couldn’t even cover half the distance before she felt a loud scream echo from behind her!

’Jack!’

Reaynar turned around sharply, and she saw that a woman had appeared on the scene like a phantom! The woman had short black hair, and she was wearing a black outfit that made her stand out against the white snow! She was tall with a well-toned body, and she currently had her sword stabbed into Jack’s shoulder!

Jack screamed in pain as he immediately tried to attack her with his good hand, but the woman activated a skill, and her sword suddenly burst into flames!

[Internal Combustion]!

BOOM!

"ARGGHHHH!"

Jack’s scream echoed through the tundra like the shriek of a dying animal as his entire body erupted in fire, and the woman pulled her sword out, turned sharply through the air, and kicked Jack in the face so hard that he was literally sent flying through the air like a missile!

Once the woman was done with Jack, she finally turned to look at Reaynar, and Reaynar narrowed her eyes cautiously once she saw who the woman was!

"Valeria Marc."

It was the second child of the fifth wife of Richard Marc, and as well as one of the members of the dangerous Mercenary group Dragonclaw! Reaynar had heard stories about Valeria’s exploits around the Primordial Expanse, and Reaynar knew without a doubt that this was not going to be an easy fight!

It would usually be insane for a TITAN Rank III like Reaynar to be so cautious around a TITAN Rank II like Valeria, but Reaynar knew that there was a lot more to power than simply your magical rank! Especially for Avarans like them. Valeria had accumulated skills, techniques, and artefacts from her years as a mercenary that made her a nightmare to fight against, and if that was not enough, then the simple fact that Valeria had the blood of Richard Marc flowing through her made all the difference in this battle!

Valeria, meanwhile, did not know why she was here.

Valeria had been on her way to the other side of the Primordial Expanse to meet with Jason on Earth when she had received a letter from Harold telling her that Jason was not on Earth, and Harold had asked Valeria to come to the fifth domain to help him with a serious matter. Normally, Valeria would ignore a letter like that until she confirmed whether or not Jason was really on Earth for herself, but when she saw the sheer desperation in that letter, Valeria knew that there was something very serious going on!

And that was why Valeria had changed directions, and she began heading to Diran to find Jason and wait for Harold there. But on her way to Diran, Valeria had suddenly felt Harold’s mana reaching out to her. It was a faint, almost unnoticeable surge of mana that anyone else would’ve missed, but Valeria was a very good sensor, and she was able to pick it out easily!

Valeria had almost ignored that mana completely. Even though Valeria listened to Harold and came to the fifth domain, that didn’t mean she wanted to see Harold! Valeria’s only goal was to meet with Jason and make him aid her in her mission, so she didn’t see the point in going to see Harold. But there was something about that mana that made Valeria stop. Valeria didn’t know if it was the way the mana felt or if it was because of how weak it was, but Valeria immediately knew that Harold was in trouble, and deep down in her heart, Valeria couldn’t ignore her big brother when he obviously needed her help!

Valeria tightened her hand around her sword, and the pressure in the region began to rise quickly! The two women glared each other down with intensity, and Reaynar’s silver sword glowed red as she poured more mana into it! And then without warning, they both exploded towards each other!

BOOM!

Reaynar tried to grab Valeria, but Valeria easily dodged, and she sent a slash straight at Reaynar’s chest!

[End of Days]!

Massive sparks burst to life around Reaynar as Valeria activated a skill, and the sparks erupted in bursts of superheated light that lit up the Vorin sky! Reaynar was thrown back by the attack, and Valeria immediately dashed after her and threw her sword towards Reaynar’s head. Reaynar tilted her head to one side to dodge it, but Reaynar was shocked when Valeria immediately vanished from where she had been and appeared right beside the sword!

’Teleportation!’

Reaynar brought her sword up desperately to try and block a slash, but Valeria activated a strength rune on her arm before she lashed out with a punch that slipped through Reaynar’s guard and slammed into Reaynar’s cheek!

BOOM!

Reaynar was sent crashing to the ground, and Valeria quickly charged down to continue the attack, but Reaynar quickly got up and raised her left hand into the air, and a TITAN Rank skill burst to life around her!

[Storm of Blades]!

A massive tornado made from millions of blades burst to life around Reaynar’s body and headed straight towards Valeria! Valeria narrowed her eyes at this before she put her hand forward and activated a defensive rune that formed a yellow shield around her body! The blades slashed into Valeria’s shield millions of times in only a few seconds, but Valeria’s shield held strong, and she pulled her sword back and charged an immense amount of mana into her blade before unleashing a perfect horizontal sword slash!

SHINK!

The sword slashed straight through her shield and tore a line straight through the tornado! And then it continued forward and cut everything within a five-mile radius in half! An intense wind picked up as snow and ice flew through the air, and a large mountain in the distance groaned as its top began to fall away from the rest of it after being sliced perfectly!

"RARRRGH!"

Reaynar wasted no time as she immediately charged in for an attack, but Valeria brought her sword up and blocked it!

Clang!

Valeria was thrown down to the ground, and Reaynar followed after her before she began to unleash attack after attack! The ’clang!’ of metal striking metal echoed through the region as the two women tested their skills against one another! Metallic sparks flew through the air, and shockwaves shook the ground from the intense power behind each of their swings! Although Reaynar was the more powerful fighter here and each of her swings carried far more force than Valeria’s swings, it was obvious that Valeria was far more skilled, and it was easy for Valeria to deflect or dodge most of Reaynar’s attacks while landing her own attacks that slowly tore at Reaynar’s body!
