Soul Beast Tamer: This is a title only wielded by one percent of the cultivation population in the world of Diran! Due to the difficulty of the Soul Beasts judgement, most cultivators fail to gain the loyalty of their Soul Beast, and those who gain this loyalty are seen as the very best of all the cultivators within Diran! The user’s Soul Beast [Crimson Phoenix] will be with the user for the rest of his life.
——
False Immortality: This is a skill gained as a result of the user’s connection with the Immortal Phoenix! This skill grants the user the ability to automatically heal every injury that does not kill the user immediately! Due to its mystical nature, this skill will not consume Mana or Qi, and the user will be able to utilize it independently of his Legion-based skill [Soul Mate]
This skill can be upgraded.
In order to upgrade this skill to its final form [True Immortality], the user must improve his relationship with his Soul Beast [Crimson Phoenix]

Jason read through the system notification, and he felt a sense of accomplishment fill his body. Jason knew that this wasn’t going to be enough to allow him to face off against the most powerful people in the Primordial Expanse, but at least with this much power, JAosn could finally begin hunting for more PRIMORDIALS!
The next few hours after Jason awakened his Qi Element had gone by in a rush! The first thing Jason saw after coming out of the trance-like state was the shocked faces of all the elders from the Eastern Mountain Sect as they stared at him in awe! The elders here had rarely seen anyone powerful enough to awaken a Soul Beast, and this was the first time that they would ever see someone bond with a Phoenix like this, so there was no way they wouldn’t be stunned!
The large Phoenix was still sitting on Jason’s shoulder like a hawk, and Jason could feel a mental connection linking him with it just like all of his other subordinates. Although the phoenix was almost as large as Jason, Jason couldn’t really feel any weight on his shoulder at all from carrying such a large beast, and Jason grinned as the Phoenix leaned down and pecked his head before transmitting a message into Jason’s mind.
<Master get stronger. Need battle.>
Jason grinned at the phoenix when he heard this, and Jason realised that the phoenix needed to get into fights in order for it to get stronger, and it was asking Jason to find battles to fight so that they could start growing! Jason decided in that moment that the two of them were going to get along very nicely!
One of the elders from the crowd came up to Jason with wide eyes as he stared at the phoenix, and Jason just watched as the man raised his hand and tried to touch the Phoenix’s body, but the man was immediately burned, and he pulled himself away sharply while screaming! Jason hummed curiously, and he raised his hand to touch the Phoenix’s body, but Jason only felt a dull warmth flowing through him without any burning sensation, and Jason realised that he was the only one who could touch it!
<Old man. Rude. Kill?>
The phoenix glared at the elder who had touched it without permission, and Jason could feel the heat in the temple rising as the Phoenix prepared to roast the old man to death for his action! But Jason managed to calm the phoenix down easily, and he told it not to kill anyone there.
’They’re friends. We don’t kill friends.’
<Rude friends.>
Jason just chuckled as the phoenix narrowed its eyes at the old people again, and the phoenix finally settled itself on Jason’s shoulder properly while putting one of its wings around Jason’s head like some sort of scarf!
<Wake for battle.>
The Phoenix immediately went to sleep, and Jason went down from the stage to face the people waiting for him. Everyone there had the same shocked expression on their faces as they watched Jason walk past them! None of them could take their eyes off the Phoenix, and it felt like they were seeing something impossible standing right in front of them! The thought that a phoenix would bond with someone was already completely mind-blowing, but the fact that it had bonded with someone who was not even a direct member of the Eastern Mountain Sect was what blew their minds even more!
"Master, are you okay?"
Stella came up to Jason and asked this worriedly, and Jason just smiled and patted her head while telling her that he was fine. The trial had taken some stamina from him, so he had to go and rest. Stella nodded immediately, and the elders in the room all spoke up quickly!
"If you wish to rest, you can use my villa!"
"No, don’t use his! Use mine! My villa is the best place to rest! I even have a Qi replenishment pool!"
"I have a mansion on the mountain! It’s along a ley line, and you can see the whole world from up there!"
"The valley is much better for rest! Use my house over there!"
The elders in the room immediately realised just how important Jason was, and they all began to try and gain his favour by asking him to come to their house to rest! They knew that whoever was able to get Jason to stay at their place would gain an upper hand in befriending him! Jason was a little put off by all the sudden offers, and he didn’t really care about accepting any of them! Didn’t they know that he was going to be leaving this world very soon? There was no need for them to try and gain his favour like this!
’Can you blame them? What you’ve done... goodness, what have you even done?’
Jason hummed as Esdath finally spoke up from inside his Alternate Dimension. Esdath had been very silent all this time, and Jason wondered whether something had happened to him during the Soul Judgement earlier. But it appears the old bastard was doing just fine!
’Do you even know what you’ve done!?’
Esdath suddenly erupted in a loud voice when he heard Jason’s nonchalant tone, and Jason raised a brow at him. Jason asked Esdath what exactly he was so stressed out about, and Esdath went into a rant unlike anything Jason had ever heard!
’That is a Soul Beast on your shoulder! And not just any Soul Beast, it’s a Phoenix! You’ve made a contract with a Phoenix! One of the five great mythical creatures! That beast has given you an automatic ticket to eternal life! If you train it to the apex, you will literally live forever! You can’t die! You can’t be injured! You can’t even fall ill! You’ll be cured of all illnesses! You’ll be immune to all poisons! That phoenix is the most amazing thing that could come out of this awakening! I thought it was impossible! I already knew that you were something else, but I didn’t think it was possible for you to do something even more impressive! Jason, you have to stay in Diran! You have to stay and practice your cultivation for a little more time! Even someone with my level of talent didn’t gain a Soul Beast, but I managed to become strong enough to battle the Primordials! Just imagine how strong you’ll be with the Beast aiding you! You’ll be unstoppable if you do this!’
Esdath was nearly epileptic with excitement at that moment, and Jason just listened to the old man’s rant calmly! It seemed like Esdath was the most excited about Jason gaining this Beast – even more excited than all the other elders combined!
