Jason and Stella are given a private cabin on a high-class transit line. While they settle in, Jason receives intel that someone is searching for him, though their identity remains unknown. The transit line then spectacularly takes off, and Jason outlines their dangerous mission to retrieve an artifact from the Eastern Mountains, explaining they'll need to bypass powerful beasts and locate a magically shielded temple.

Jason and Stella sat in silence as they watched the scenery outside the window. The interdimensional transit line was very similar to a train, but it moved so fast that it would be more accurate to call it a hyperdrive ship! The swirling and twisting bands of light outside the window moved so fast that staring at it for too long would make you sick.

"It’s beautiful, isn’t it?"

Stella spoke up in a wistful tone, and Jason hummed as he turned to glance at her. Stella had a sad smile on her face as she continued:

"I’ve always wanted to know what it was like to travel on one of these. Life on Avaran was amazing, but I always felt like there was so much more to discover out there in the world. My desire for adventure was unquenchable. I... I was going to do a lot of this after I got married. My fiancée and I planned a few trips together. We wanted to use it to get to know each other since our marriage was only an arranged one. But..."

Stella stopped here as she tightened her hand on her lap, and Jason didn’t need to hear the rest of it to know what she was trying to say. Gina already told Jason about Stella’s past and the fact that her fiancée died in the Primordial War before they could get married. Jason sighed calmly and spoke while turning to look outside again.

"I’m sorry things didn’t go the way you wanted, Stella."

Life just wasn’t fair to everyone, and Jason understood that! The fact that Stella survived while her fiancée died would make her feel like a failure for the rest of her life, but at the end of the day, you just had to move past it! But Jason was surprised when Stella shook her head with a small smile. Jason glanced towards Stella as she spoke.

"It is sad that my fiancée didn’t get to see all of this, but I don’t think my current life is sad at all. This moment here, with you, it means more to me than I can ever describe. I don’t think I would’ve preferred to be here with anyone but you, master."

Stella looked up at Jason with a smile, and Jason could see such intense emotion burning in her eyes that he realised that she wasn’t playing around at all! Stella meant every word she said! At that moment, the look in Stella’s eyes reminded Jason so much of how Gina used to look at him before they got together as a couple, and Jason came to a sudden realisation. Stella was in love with him.

Jason didn’t know why he was able to immediately figure this out, but just from the way she was staring at him, Jason knew that this woman had romantic feelings for him! Jason smiled softly, and he spoke up in a calm voice.

"I’m happy you’re with me too, Stella. But are you sure this is where you want to be for the rest of your life? I don’t know if I can return all your emotions the same way."

Jason had already promised himself that he wouldn’t get into a relationship with a woman just because she loved him. Jason knew the sort of effects he had on women, and he understood that there would always be one woman or another that was trying to get together with him, so Jason did his best to always put those women at a distance so they understood that he wasn’t the sort of person that just sleeps with whoever he wanted! Even if Stella was closer to Jason than all those other women, Jason knew he didn’t love her! Jason cared for her like she was his family, but he didn’t feel for her the way he felt for his girls.

Stella’s smile widened even more when she heard Jason say this, and she shook her head.

"You don’t need to worry about returning my emotions, master. I wouldn’t dare burden you with such things. These feelings are mine to nurture and care for. As long as I can spend all my life beside you in any capacity, then I feel like I would have lived a fulfilling life."

Stella’s smile was almost blinding in its sincerity, and Jason couldn’t stop himself from smiling when he saw it. There weren’t a lot of people that could say what Stella had just said with absolute sincerity, and Jason realised in that moment just how loyal Stella was to him!

’You should take her to bed.’

A stupid voice suddenly spoke up from Jason’s mind, and Jason scowled internally at that bastard Esdath!

’What the fuck is wrong with you?’

Jason growled at the stupid old man, but Esdath doubled down on his intention!

’Come on! Don’t tell me you’re not curious! A maid that would do anything for you is telling you she has feelings for you! Look at her! Those breasts! That hip! Those toned abs forged from years of exercise and battle! Do you know how many perverted things you could do with her!? She’ll never tell you no, so you can go all out with your mad desires! This is the pinnacle of perversion!’

Esdath started to sound like a philosopher that was trying to pass on ancient wisdom to his student, and Jason felt his eye twitch in annoyance as he immediately told Ragnar to get the bastard!

’Hey, wait! Wait! I was just trying to help out!’

Ragnar didn’t even give Esdath time to run as he swooped in and grabbed the old man by the head, and Ragnar flew off into the distance as Esdath screamed for mercy!

Jason ignored the screams, and he turned back to look at Stella. Stella was still looking at him with the intense loyalty shining in her eyes, and Jason spoke sincerely.

"Thank you, Stella. I’ll do my best to reward your dedication."

Stella shook her head.

"I have no need for any rewards, my prince. I serve you because it is what I wish to do, not because of what I can gain from it. Even if this path leads me to my death, then it would be a death I would gladly welcome. The pleasure is all mine."

Stella’s words echoed within Jason, and Jason smiled as he turned to enjoy the view of the flashing lights outside. This was the first time Jason would be receiving such unselfish devotion from someone, and Jason didn’t really know how to react to it just yet. Jason decided to change the topic, and they both spoke about many lighter, pointless things for the rest of the day. And it wasn’t long before they finally went to get some sleep.

....

[The Next Day]

The interdimensional transit line flashed across the fifth domain as it made its way to the transit station. In the fifth domain, the transit station was located in a world known as Izagi. It was a merchant world with millions of shops scattered around the vast continent, and billions of people coming and going to buy wares and goods! The fifth domain was a world under the rule of Val’kat the goblin king, and since Val’kat was a goblin, he had a very high interest in money and precious materials! And that was why he made his domain focus more on business and trade than anything else so they could make as much money as possible!

There was a saying that you could find anything you want to purchase in the fifth domain! Even the most illegal or dangerous things would probably be sold in one of the black market shops in this world!

TWOON!

The transit line flashed across the air at supersonic speeds and passed through multiple dimensional gates that opened in front of it before it finally arrived at Izagi!
