Nick Fury returned, promptly arranging a thorough discussion with Dio to personally assess this Bruce Wayne. Bruce himself offered no resistance, understanding the necessity of powerful allies to facilitate his return to his own world.

However, constructing the Space-Time Machine would demand considerable time and financial resources. Without resorting to larceny or criminality, acquiring the necessary funds would be a lengthy process. Furthermore, the machine's construction presented its own challenges, requiring the Flash to surpass his own speed limitations.

At this juncture, the precise method for achieving such a feat remained elusive. While the dangers and power levels within this world seemed comparable to his own, it was difficult to ascertain if anyone possessed the capability to rival the Flash's incredible speed.

Following comprehensive discussions with Dio and Nick Fury, Dio summoned Quicksilver. After Bruce recounted the essential details, Quicksilver appeared captivated by the legend of the Flash.

Quicksilver, inherently proud, found the notion of his speed being inferior to another's unacceptable. If someone from Bruce's world could achieve such a feat, he was certain he could as well. Moreover, Quicksilver had devoted several years to researching methods of using his speed to transcend time, and the prospect of applying this knowledge filled him with excitement.

This was concrete proof that his abilities could be further enhanced!

Thus, after absorbing all the pertinent information about Bruce's world, Nick Fury looked to Dio, choosing to place his trust in him for the moment. Their collaborative planning for Bruce Wayne's Space-Time Machine commenced. For funding and equipment, Stark and Wakanda pledged their support. As for the machine's power source, the reliance was, naturally, placed upon Quicksilver.

The sole remaining preparation involved bracing themselves mentally. Should this ambitious project succeed, they would gain entry into another universe, validating the existence of the Multiverse. Concurrently, no one could definitively predict whether their world would be presented with a grand opportunity or unexpectedly face a dire crisis.

Now, a critical question arose: would Bruce's original world eventually attempt to invade this one? Bruce's narrative revealed that his home world had succumbed to a supervillain's conquest.

Once Bruce's former world initiated an invasion of this Earth, the two realities would inevitably clash! While they understood Bruce's desire to leverage their power to save his home, a cautious approach was paramount. The inherent risks precluded any recklessness; a meticulously detailed plan was indispensable.

This did not imply that Dio and Nick Fury would abandon Bruce's plight. Their priority was to ensure they were not overwhelmed due to overconfidence. The strategic objective was to shift the conflict's theater to the opponent's universe, not their own.

Their universe had endured enough cataclysm!

Fortunately, Bruce harbored no objections to their strategic considerations. Having already benefited from the resources of this world, he could not reasonably demand that the battles transpire within their domain! He acknowledged that his requests were already substantial. Even if his universe ultimately faced destruction, he would hold no grievance against the inhabitants of this world.

Bruce recognized that his universe was already irrevocably damaged; withholding assistance from this world would change little.

With the discussions concluded, Bruce accompanied Nick Fury to undergo his assessment with S.H.I.E.L.D. To prevent widespread panic, S.H.I.E.L.D. maintained the utmost classification regarding Bruce's information.

Consequently, there was no immediate need for the Avengers to mobilize. Dio himself remained uncertain when their assembled presence might truly be required again, as he personally wished to preserve the current global peace.

. . . . . . . . . .

Elsewhere in the world, Peter's identity as Spider-Man was finally revealed, and he received a warm reception from his classmates on his first day back at school.

Peter found himself unable to escape the curious stares of his peers, who were clearly brimming with unasked questions. This was understandable, as they believed they had been living ordinary lives, unaware that a superhero had been among them all along. Even more astonishing was the revelation that this very hero was accused of murdering another protector of the Earth!

The pervasive media coverage kept Peter in the spotlight, though he also faced considerable criticism. Some individuals, like MJ, Ned, and a few others, continued to believe in him.

Nonetheless, a greater number slandered his name, treating him as a veritable villain. The situation worsened when Peter began experiencing bullying at school related to this matter, occasionally discovering his locker and desk defaced with slurs and provocative imagery.

To compound his distress, upon returning home, Peter found his front door similarly covered in graffiti. Upon entering, he discovered his residence had been vandalized!

The room was a disaster, with paint splattered across the walls, floor, and even parts of the ceiling. Peter felt a surge of anger at the situation, yet he was also thankful that Aunt May was spared from witnessing this scene. He had already arranged for Happy to protect her, and she had relocated from their home to stay with him.

Surveying the damage within his house, Peter's gaze fell upon a gift box resting on the dining room table. A wave of apprehension washed over him; he suspected nothing good would emerge from it and briefly entertained the thought that it might be a bomb.

Despite his apprehension, Peter moved forward and lifted the lid.

It was not a bomb, but a dead mouse accompanied by a card. Picking up the card, Peter read the message aloud: "Finally found you, Spiderman! I'm sending this token on behalf of all the people you put behind bars! The roles of hunter and prey have now reversed, and your end is nigh!"

Peter had braced himself for retribution from the criminals he had incarcerated once his secret identity was exposed, but he hadn't anticipated the pursuit commencing so swiftly. However, he had to admit it was only natural. After all, Spiderman consistently disrupted the criminal activities plaguing the streets.

Perhaps in the past, these villains didn't seek revenge because Spiderman's true identity remained a mystery. But now that his civilian persona was public knowledge, individuals would undoubtedly seize the opportunity to retaliate against Peter!

No self-respecting criminal would ever accept being bested by a mere high school student!

A weary sigh escaped Peter as he acknowledged the inevitable shift in the predator-prey dynamic that would occur once his identity was revealed. Now that Peter's secret was out, every criminal seeking to prevent their schemes from being thwarted would undoubtedly target him!
