As for the machine's power source, the reliance was, naturally, placed upon Quicksilver.

To compound his distress, upon returning home, Peter found his front door similarly covered in graffiti. Upon entering, he discovered his residence had been vandalized!

The room was a disaster, with paint splattered across the walls, floor, and even parts of the ceiling. Peter felt a surge of anger at the situation, yet he was also thankful that Aunt May was spared from witnessing this scene. He had already arranged for Happy to protect her, and she had relocated from their home to stay with him.

Surveying the damage within his house, Peter's gaze fell upon a gift box resting on the dining room table. A wave of apprehension washed over him; he suspected nothing good would emerge from it and briefly entertained the thought that it might be a bomb.

Despite his apprehension, Peter moved forward and lifted the lid.

It was not a bomb, but a dead mouse accompanied by a card. Picking up the card, Peter read the message aloud: "Finally found you, Spiderman! I'm sending this token on behalf of all the people you put behind bars! The roles of hunter and prey have now reversed, and your end is nigh!"

Peter had braced himself for retribution from the criminals he had incarcerated once his secret identity was exposed, but he hadn't anticipated the pursuit commencing so swiftly. However, he had to admit it was only natural. After all, Spiderman consistently disrupted the criminal activities plaguing the streets.

Perhaps in the past, these villains didn't seek revenge because Spiderman's true identity remained a mystery. But now that his civilian persona was public knowledge, individuals would undoubtedly seize the opportunity to retaliate against Peter!

No self-respecting criminal would ever accept being bested by a mere high school student!
