Leon returned from his dimensional world to find his companions had achieved Peak Foundation Establishment during his ten-month absence. Despite his earlier injury during a duel, he declared they were ready to leave the training dimension and prepare their new identities.

Chapter 635: Four Attendants from Nowhere

They began planning that evening.

Leon would not bring four unregistered cultivators directly into his secluded residence. Even if no formation detected the passage, their sudden appearance inside Jade Moon Palace would make every later explanation harder. They needed to enter through the same gate as everyone else and leave a clean record behind them.

"Personal attendants connected to my sealed inheritance," Leon said. "That remains the public truth. You survived the same collapsed secret realm and remained behind while I established myself outside. We will not provide details the Palace has no right to demand."

Vyra sat opposite him with a blank book already open. "Who approves the registration?"

"My direct-disciple token allows me to sponsor attendants, but Ji Liansu’s written approval will prevent lower officials from treating the unusual circumstances as an invitation to investigate."

"Where do we appear?"

"A palace-controlled port outside the sect. I will secure a private courtyard, enter the dimensional world from there, and take all four of you out through the same passage. Then we approach the front gate openly."

Vyra wrote it down. "Better. Our first public sighting cannot be inside the Palace."

"Exactly."

They confirmed their roles next. Seraphine would be registered as Leon’s chief attendant and personal guard. Ira would serve as his combat guard, Vyra as steward and adviser, and Loriel as the attendant responsible for medicinal plants and gardens.

Their Classes required no invented explanation. Classes were personal paths, and this world already possessed countless inheritances, bloodline arts, constitutions, and cultivation variations. Anyone who noticed an unusual quality in their power could reasonably assume it came from the collapsed secret realm. Their Peak Foundation Establishment cultivation would be the part officials could measure and record.

"Who outranks us?" Vyra asked.

"Almost everyone with formal authority," Leon said. "You are attached to me, not disciples of Jade Moon Palace. An elder can issue instructions concerning Palace law, safety, or restricted grounds. They cannot casually transfer your service or command you on private matters without going through me."

"And if a core disciple gives Ira an order?"

"I ignore it politely," Ira answered.

Vyra looked at Leon.

"She declines anything unrelated to Palace rules," Leon said. "Politely."

"That sounds less entertaining," Ira said.

"It is meant to."

Seraphine folded her arms. "Chief attendant means I remain near you."

"Usually."

"Near enough to know before you accept another duel involving an unfinished cultivation technique."

"I already agreed to that."

"I wanted it included in the official duties."

Ira laughed. Even Vyra’s mouth moved slightly before she returned to her notes.

Loriel had been quiet through most of the discussion.

"What about the medicinal gardens?" she asked. "Will they allow an attendant inside?"

"Not the restricted gardens immediately. My residence has cultivation plots, and my status gives me access to ordinary medicinal grounds. You will begin there."

"Do they have anything related to the Earthmarrow fern?"

"Possibly. You are not asking anyone about a rare plant connected to another world on your first day."

Loriel looked offended. "I know that."

"You were about to ask."

"Only you."

By the time they finished, Vyra had filled twelve pages with terminology, hierarchy, forms of address, and the limits of Leon’s token. She also insisted that everyone carry ordinary local clothing and possessions rather than items that might invite questions.

Preparing to leave made the decision real in a way the discussion had not. Seraphine packed quickly and kept only what she could carry without a storage artifact. Ira complained about wrapping her spear, then redid the cloth herself when the first covering looked too conspicuous. Loriel spent nearly an hour arranging care for the quarantine plot and explaining the Earthmarrow fern’s schedule to three different gardeners. Vyra checked all four sets of belongings before allowing anyone to close them.

Leon watched without hurrying them. They had been ready in cultivation. Leaving the place that had sheltered them was a different kind of preparation.

The following morning, Leon returned alone to Jade Moon Palace.

Ji Liansu received him in the same quiet hall where she had examined the first stage of his Scripture. Her gaze passed once over his channels before settling on his face.

"You recovered quickly."

"The damage is closed. I will not resume experimentation until the remaining strain fades."

"Good. What do you need?"

Leon placed his direct-disciple token on the table between them. "Four attendants connected to my sealed inheritance have reached a nearby port. They survived the same secret realm and remained behind while I established a secure identity. I want to register them under my token."

Ji Liansu knew that Leon came from a lower-ranked world. She also knew the sealed-inheritance explanation protected facts he did not intend to share. As she had promised before, she did not ask him to expose those facts now.

"Their cultivation?" she asked.

"All four are Peak Foundation Establishment. Their methods are unusual but stable."

"Their roles?"

Leon listed them.

Ji Liansu considered the request for a moment, then touched one finger to the token. A pale crescent appeared on its surface.

"This authorizes four personal attendants under your responsibility," she said. "The gate officials will record their names, cultivation, and duties. Their origins will be registered under the same sealed-realm protection as yours. I will not permit anyone to investigate beyond that without bringing the request to me."

"Thank you."

"Do not thank me yet. Their conduct will reflect on you, and yours will determine how closely the Palace watches them."

Leon thought of Ira asking whether she could fight anyone.

"Understood."

Ji Liansu’s eyes narrowed slightly. "That answer lacked confidence."

"One of them is enthusiastic."

"Then I look forward to discovering whether your judgment is better in attendants than it is in duels."

Leon collected the token and left before she found another way to make the point.

By afternoon, he had descended to the nearest port under Jade Moon Palace authority and rented a small courtyard using his token. He inspected every formation himself, added two seals of his own, and confirmed that the property possessed no hidden observation array.

Only then did he enter the dimensional world.

The four women were waiting with their belongings packed in plain local cloth. Seraphine wore her sword openly. Ira had wrapped her spear but looked tempted to remove the covering. Vyra carried the book of notes beneath one arm, while Loriel held a small case of medicinal tools against her chest.

"Everything is approved," Leon said. "You will be registered under my token, and Ji Liansu has extended my sealed-realm protection to your origins. We appear in the port, walk to the Palace openly, and enter through the front gate."

Vyra nodded. Ira straightened with immediate interest. Loriel looked nervous but did not step back.

Seraphine came to Leon’s side. "And after the gate?"

"After the gate, you stop waiting for my visits and live there with me."

Her expression softened.

Leon looked at all four of them. They had crossed one world at his side, spent more than ten months building foundations for another, and reached the point he had once expected to take years.

"It is time," he said.

He opened the passage.

Cold, dense mana flowed into the dimensional world. Beyond the full standing gateway waited the quiet courtyard of the port, its stone walls silver beneath the higher world’s moonlight.

No one crossed yet.

Together, they looked through.
