After surviving a perilous dungeon, Vyra, Ira, and Seraphine underwent class reawakening. Vyra obtained a unique "Pyran Flame Sovereign" class, Ira awakened as a "Calamity Flame Lancer," and Seraphine achieved an ultra-rare "Stormlight Sword Saint" class. Meanwhile, Loriel remained unconscious, her recovery slow, as the settlement dealt with the aftermath of the dungeon.

Chapter 584: The Same Rank

Leon reached the bed first.

Loriel’s green eyes opened slowly.

They remained unfocused for several seconds before finding him.

"Leon?"

He pulled her into his arms.

Loriel gave a quiet sound of surprise, but her arms soon rose around him.

Leon held her carefully.

He knew her body was healed. That did not remove the image of her falling from the dungeon covered in blood.

Loriel rested her head against his chest.

"I’m all right," she whispered.

"You almost weren’t."

"I know."

They remained together for several moments.

Seraphine, Ira, and Vyra gathered beside the bed, but none of them teased Leon or Loriel.

Leon finally helped Loriel rest against the pillows again. He remained seated close beside her.

"How do you feel?" Seraphine asked.

"Tired."

"Any pain?" Leon asked.

Loriel moved her arms and legs carefully.

"No. Nothing hurts."

Her gaze returned to Leon.

"You healed me."

"Most of it."

"Most?"

"You did the difficult part by coming out alive."

Loriel gave him a tired smile.

"I heard some of what you were saying."

Ira leaned closer.

"How long were you awake?"

"I wasn’t fully awake. I could hear everyone, but I couldn’t move."

Leon frowned.

"You should have said something."

"I just told you I couldn’t move."

"That is a reasonable excuse."

Loriel’s smile widened slightly.

She looked toward Vyra, Ira, and Seraphine.

"I heard about your classes. Congratulations."

"Thank you," Vyra said.

Ira grinned.

"You should have seen my trial."

"I heard that part too."

Seraphine looked away to hide her smile.

Leon placed a hand over Loriel’s.

"You don’t have to tell us what happened inside your trial."

Loriel became quieter.

"You came out with the worst injuries," Leon continued. "If you don’t want to remember it, don’t."

"I don’t want to explain the painful parts yet."

"You never have to."

"But I can tell you what class I received."

Leon tried to keep his expression calm.

Loriel watched him for several seconds.

"You want to know, right?"

Leon nodded.

Then he nodded again.

Ira laughed.

"You look like a duck."

"I do not."

"You do."

Loriel covered a small laugh with her hand.

Leon ignored them.

He expected Loriel’s class to have improved by at least one rank. Her previous path had focused on healing, but the changes he sensed in her mana channels suggested something much greater.

Perhaps she had received an evolved Saintess class.

Maybe her rarity had increased.

Loriel opened her status.

A golden notification appeared.

[Class Reawakening Complete]

[Class: Child of Life]

[Class Rank: SSS]

[Class Rarity: Ultra-Rare]

Loriel studied the message.

"I received an Ultra-Rare SSS-rank class," she said. "Child of Life. I don’t really know how good that is."

No one answered.

Ira’s mouth hung open.

Seraphine stared at the golden words.

Leon read them again to make sure he had not misunderstood.

SSS rank.

Loriel had awakened a class at the same rank as Elemental Paragon.

That did not mean their classes possessed identical power or potential. Rank was only one part of a class.

It was still an unbelievable result.

"Did I do badly?" Loriel asked.

Leon looked at her.

"Badly?"

"No one is saying anything."

"You did so well that none of us know what to say."

Her eyes widened.

"Really?"

"Loriel, SSS is the highest class rank I know."

Ira finally found her voice.

"The same as Leon?"

Leon nodded.

"My class is also SSS rank."

Vyra’s head turned sharply.

"You never mentioned that."

"It didn’t come up."

"It has come up many times."

"Not in a way that required the exact rank."

Vyra looked from Leon to Loriel.

She already viewed Leon as an existence far outside normal standards. Learning that Loriel possessed a class of the same rank forced her to reconsider the gentle healer entirely.

Loriel noticed Vyra staring.

"Is something wrong?"

"No."

Vyra’s answer came immediately.

"I was thinking that I should not become lazy."

Ira stared at her aunt.

"You? Lazy?"

"The point remains."

Leon looked back at Loriel.

"What else changed?"

"My status looks strange."

"Show me."

Loriel focused on the interface.

A golden screen appeared before her.

She looked through the new sections with growing confusion.

"The whole thing used to be blue."

Leon’s suspicions strengthened.

"Do you see something called Cosmic Chat?"

Loriel searched.

"Yes."

"Cosmic Shop?"

"Yes."

"Does the Shop mention causality?"

"It does." Loriel looked at him. "What does that mean?"

Leon leaned back.

She had gained access to the Cosmic System.

This was only one additional example, so he could not claim that every SSS-rank class holder automatically received it.

However, the connection was too strong to ignore.

Loriel had awakened an SSS-rank class and immediately gained the same golden interface Leon possessed.

"It means your System has changed," he said. "The blue System you used before was much more limited. The golden one is connected to the Cosmic System."

Loriel listened closely.

Leon explained the basics.

The Cosmic Chat connected users across a far wider scale than ordinary world systems. The Cosmic Shop offered items and knowledge unavailable through lesser interfaces. Causality acted as its currency, earned and spent through actions that affected the world and its future.

He avoided overwhelming her with every detail.

"You should not spend anything until I help you understand the prices," Leon added.

Loriel nodded quickly.

"I won’t touch it."

"Good. Some of the Shop’s prices can be misleading if you don’t understand what you’re buying."

Ira crossed her arms.

"So she really has the same kind of System as you?"

"It appears that way."

"Because her class is SSS?"

"Possibly. One example besides myself is not enough to prove it."

Loriel looked at the golden interface again.

She should have seemed excited.

Instead, her expression turned uncertain.

"I hated the trial."

Leon squeezed her hand.

"You don’t need to be grateful for what it did to you."

"It hurt."

"I know."

"I really don’t like pain."

"You have made that very clear."

Loriel gave him a weak glare.

"But this is still good, right?"

"It is more than good."

Leon looked at the class name again.

Child of Life.

Loriel’s former power had treated life as healing.

The new class clearly reached beyond that.

The trial had forced her to experience growth, sacrifice, survival, decay, and the border between life and death. Leon suspected her class would eventually allow her to do far more than close wounds.

He did not ask her to inspect the skills yet.

She needed rest.

Loriel’s eyes were already becoming heavy.

Leon helped her lie down.

"I’ll be nearby."

"You don’t have to keep watching me."

"I know."

"You’re going to do it anyway?"

"Yes."

Loriel smiled and closed her eyes.

Her breathing settled into a natural rhythm.

This time, she was only sleeping.

Vyra remained for a while longer before standing.

"I should examine my own class."

"And rest," Leon said.

"I rested while all of you talked."

"That does not count."

"It does to me."

Vyra paused beside Loriel’s bed.

Her gaze remained on the sleeping healer for a moment before she left the room.

Several more hours passed.

Leon checked Loriel twice more. Her condition remained stable.

The settlement leaders had handled the surviving participants, and preparations had begun for the fifty-one families who had lost someone. Nothing else required Leon’s immediate attention that night.

Seraphine touched his arm.

"Come with us."

"Where?"

"The next room."

Ira was already smiling.

That should have warned him.

Leon followed them into an adjoining bedroom.

Seraphine entered last and closed the door.

The lock clicked.

Leon turned toward her.

Ira planted both hands against his chest and pushed.

Leon allowed himself to fall backward onto the bed.

She climbed onto the mattress after him with a mischievous smile. Seraphine approached from the other side, calmer but no less intent.

The sight of the two women working together was more alarming than anything Leon had faced inside the Tower.

"We survived," Ira said.

"We returned with S-rank classes," Seraphine added.

Ira leaned closer.

"We performed extremely well."

"You did," Leon agreed.

"Then we deserve a reward."

Leon looked from Ira to Seraphine.

He understood exactly what kind of reward they wanted.

After everything they had endured, Leon was more than willing to give them his long, hard reward.
