SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God Chapter 798 Waste of time

One of the Gods lowered his gaze. His eyes swept across the ruined planet before finally stopping on the crimson-black storm raging below. "Hmmm?" He did not look very impressed. "I came all the way out here for this?"
Another one snorted and turned away from the madness. Instead of the swirling mess of energy he seemed way more interested in the world itself. "Perhaps this world has the potential to birth something."
"I don't think that bastard has ever been wrong. So it has to be one thing or the other." Another one of the Gods sighed. "I am not idle enough to entertain this fishing expedition." His figure then flickered and immediately disappeared.
After him, a couple more of the Gods simply vanished as well without another glance or word. Clearly, whatever had drawn them here had already failed to meet their expectations.
"What a waste of time."
"This place doesn't even have enough origin energy to support a proper divine descent."
"If there really was something here, someone else can deal with it."
"Hmph. Just another corrupted abomination. What a disappointment."
One after another, the towering pillars of divine light faded from the heavens. They had crossed countless galaxies to find the answer to a prophecy. Instead… they found a dying world and a B-rank mortal surrounded by unstable abyssal energy, that too a corrupted B rank, not even the run of a mill genius who could have some hidden potential. It was hardly worthy of their attention.
Finally, only four divine figures remained. The six-winged Goddess, the God carrying the ancient spear, the God wrapped in endless chains and an elderly God with silver eyes that had yet to speak a single word. The other three in fact seemed to be waiting for the verdict of the silver-eyed God.
"There is something strange about this abomination. Bring me his body, soul and blood, all carefully stored." With that, his figure disappeared. The other three Gods glanced at each other and came to a silent agreement between them. In the end, the one with the six-wings remained and the others took off.
The Goddess who stayed back did not look that pleased. "Hmph. I have to personally attend to such menial tasks." Her beautiful face was filled with undisguised disgust, as though merely remaining in this insignificant world was beneath her dignity.
She slowly descended from the heavens. There was no overwhelming display of power. She did not execute any dazzling divine technique. She simply took one step. The distance between heaven and earth disappeared.
With the second step, she was already standing only a few kilometers away from the raging crimson-black tornado. The violent abyssal storm slammed into her from every direction. It howled, devoured and corrupted everything in its path.
Yet the moment it touched the faint layer of divine radiance surrounding her body, it silently split apart and flowed around her as if she were an immovable mountain standing in the middle of a river.
She did not even acknowledge its existence. "So..." Her indifferent gaze finally landed on Damon. "You are the little insect who caused so much commotion." She looked him up and down once. "Hmph. A failed fusion. A corrupted bloodline. A broken soul. A body moments away from collapsing. What exactly did the Master find interesting about you?"
She could not understand it. There was nothing remarkable about the mortal before her. He did not have any overwhelming cultivation. He wasn't born with a divine physique. Heck, he did not even possess a complete Dao.
Nothing. There was absolutely nothing special about him except for the corrupted bloodline. If anything, he looked like someone who would explode at any moment. She pondered for a moment before deciding that it was not worth her time.
She then ignored Damon and turned towards the other side. "You may appear in front of me." She calmly spoke. The very next second hundreds of people teleported in front of her. These were none other than the clan members of the ten hidden families.
Shockingly, these people were completely unaffected by the abyssal energy and the corruption. Not a single part of them was tainted. It was as if they were already prepared for everything.
The Goddess indifferent glanced at the gathered masses. Her divine senses once swept across the group but once again there was no reaction on her face. "You have done well these past few decades. You may now return to the clan. You will be rewarded plentifully."
Finishing that matter, she then turned towards the last remaining issue. She casually raised her hand and swung it down. Immediately, a wave of incomparably powerful energy swept across the battlefield.
It spread silently. The light simply washed over everything like a gentle breeze. Wherever it passed, the abyssal energy dissolved as though it had never existed.
The raging crimson-black tornado surrounding Damon shuddered violently. The endless stream of abyssal energy feeding him was abruptly severed. However, the light did not lose any of its splendor. It continued and it went straight for the kill, revealing a bloody battered figure whose muscles and even bones were visible.
The man appeared a mere husk and his knees buckled as he collapsed on the ground. He looked like he was just a breath away from dying.
"Hmph. your soul will shatter no matter what I do. Your body is already gone. I can only preserve your blood. It's best I take you just like this." The Goddess once again looked annoyed and irritated.
The ten elders of the hidden families exchanged glances wanting to help her in one way or the other but none of them dared to speak out without being given the permission to. They silently watched as the divine aura completely faded.
The six radiant wings slowly dissolved into countless specks of light. The overwhelming divine pressure vanished alongside them. In their place stood an ordinary-looking woman dressed in plain white robes.
Nothing about her appearance suggested divinity anymore. She looked gentle, elegant and almost harmless. Only those who had witnessed her descend from the heavens knew that this seemingly delicate woman had just casually dispersed an abyssal storm capable of swallowing continents.
She walked toward Damon at an unhurried pace. Within moments, she stood before the kneeling Damon. She looked down at him with indifferent eyes. "So fragile. I truly don't understand why Master would personally mention you."
She extended a slender hand toward Damon's chest. Her fingers stopped only inches away. She intended to remove his bloodline directly from its source. However…
Suddenly...
"Hmm?" Her brows furrowed. She looked at her own hand. There was a bloodied hand grasping it. The next second an overwhelming feeling of weakness took over her as a disfigured head closed in on her. A pair of fangs flashed before sinking into her slender neck.
"You… how…" The Goddess could barely force those two words past her lips. Her eyes widened in disbelief as the bloodied hand holding her steadily increased its grip.
The flesh covering the arm started regenerating before her eyes. Muscles wove themselves back together. Shattered bones clicked into place. Dark crimson veins pulsed violently beneath newly formed skin.
