Damon easily overcomes the Swamp King's poison-based attack, revealing his superior control over poison. The Swamp King is shocked by Damon's power and his ability to speak its language. The artifact spirit from the Poison God's ring intervenes, recognizing the Swamp King's unique physique as potentially beneficial for Damon's Nine Millions Poison physique. The spirit then forcibly transports the Swamp King to a hidden world, allowing Damon to pursue further bloodline fragments.

Damon hoped that his luck stat would work its magic and he would hit it big the first time around but it looked like he had used up all of his luck on getting the poison devouring creature. The next ten times he used the bloodline skill, he was running into other beings just like him.

Except every single one of them were mindless slaughterers. Most of them were forced to live in isolation either by nature or by the civilization of that world.

The first one was not all that strong. It was still a C rank and was stuck in a frozen land with no creatures all around it. It appeared to have some weakness against the ice element which had drastically reduced its abilities.

Damon only needed to mess with it for a couple of seconds and he could see that it was the same type as him, glorious stats and lots of skills but little of anything else.

The second one was held in tow by poisonous creatures and poisonous miasma. It was also the same type as Damon. Except it did not have his poison body which made it particularly weak against poison.

It also seemed to be lacking skills to deal with the poisonous miasma. It was only a matter of time before it figured something out but for now it seemed pretty much stuck.

The third one was interesting. It was a beast king that looked like some sort of chimeric abomination. It ruled its world and was even breeding a lot of beasts all over the world as if it was preparing its own meal.

Once again, it was only a matter of time before this one exploded with power. Damon made a mental note of the guy as its mind was especially strong. The others all seemed dull and frenzied. Only this one was capable enough to even strategically think and plan.

He hovered high above that world, watching the creature from a distance. It was grotesque, a fusion of multiple beasts stitched together. Scales overlapped fur, wings sprouted from a spine.

Clearly, the same type of devourer as him except it seemed to also possess shape shifting abilities. There was a chance it was also capable of enhancing its physical constitution but at the end of the day, it was simply not good enough for him to go back home with.

"Interesting… but not worth it." Damon quickly decided and moved onto the next.

The good news was that most of these devourers did not have strong perception. Their mind wasn't their strongest asset. Damon was able to slip in and out of the worlds easily without any issues. The only problem was the teleportation skill itself. It was extremely draining to use the skill and he was already running out of time.

If he was not wrong, he only had a few more jumps left before he was forced to pick one bloodline or the other irrespective of how complementary and useful it was to him.

"Come on. Come on. I need something good." Damon sucked in a breath and prepared to jump to another world again.

"My liege… don't fret. I feel like the next world is going to be the answer to our problems."

Damon tiredly chuckled. "I doubt it. Thanks for the encouragement little red."

"No my liege. I really do think the next one will be what we are looking for."

"If you say so." It was not that he was not hopeful but he was literally searching for a needle in the haystack. He was well aware of his odds.

"My liege… you are taking my gut feelings so lightly. Women have good intuitions. You should listen to us."

Damon's face twitched. Blood Reign was a weapon spirit. Now even she had gut feelings and woman's intuitions?

"My liege… if the next one is really what you are looking for, then you have to call me darling little red from now on."

Damon chuckled and plugged into the bloodline network. The next second he appeared on solid ground, but the moment his feet touched it, he knew something was different.

The sky above was a dull, washed-out grey. The ground beneath him stretched endlessly in cracked plains, devoid of vegetation, devoid of life as if everything had been drained out of it.

He did not have to wonder what he had run into. He could see the huge monstrosity right in the middle of the world. Its tar-like flesh which was something in between liquid and solid like a jelly slowly creeped along.

Actually it wouldn't be wrong to say that it was the world itself.

Damon's eyes widened in shock as his primordial senses analyzed the world. Almost a third of the world was occupied by this single thing.

Vast sections of the cracked plains were already claimed, assimilated into that shifting mass, while the rest of the world lay barren, like prey waiting to be consumed.

Damon could only gasp at the sheer size of the thing. From what he could tell, this thing was pretty much the definition of a devourer! It was eating anything and everything around it! It had literally devoured everything around it including solid ground!

Then it struck him. Could it be devouring energy? Even the mana in the air around him was extremely low, just barely there but he could sense the strong mana core within the creature. The thing was so strong that it was almost blinding his senses.

This thing was essentially eating everything all around it and accumulating and using that as energy to sustain itself. Maybe it was gaining more. Maybe it was gaining less but this thing was definitely siphoning mana and storing it.

Damon grinned. He had hit jackpot indeed!

"I will take it."

Even with his primordial mana core, he was always running out of mana. This was perfect. Now he could truly unleash hell using all of his amassed skills without holding back.

Though he still had a big glaring soul weakness, this was more than good enough for going back home. Now he wouldn't be returning empty handed. He would be returning with limitless mana!

"Fuck yes, I will take it!"
