"Aren’t they a bit too relaxed?"

"It’s a good thing if they’re relaxed."

I couldn’t help shaking my head with a wry smile hearing this, but I chose not to argue with Old Man Lancelot on this in the end.

He was the one that was in charge of the school, so he should know what was best for the students that he was in charge of now.

Though it felt more like a school trip instead of an actual training session.

The current location that we were in was the forest that was near the school.

This was a place that didn’t have anyone living in it, a place that was normally completely abandoned by any of the races that lived on the continent.

After all, this was a forest that had a special name.

It was known as the Forest of Anguish, one of the more famous spots on the continent.

The reason that it was so famous was because of how dangerous it was, which was why no one lived in this place to begin with. It was a forest that was filled with monsters, so it was hard for this place not to be dangerous.

With all of these monsters in this place, it was hard for any normal person to take a single step in this forest.

Even if it was a group of knights, they would find it hard to head too deep into this forest.

After all, it wouldn’t take long before they were attacked by the monsters that lived in this place.

It was only this group that was different.

There were monsters that were in the distance, but it didn’t seem like they dared to approach with how they were cautiously looking in this direction.

At the same time, there were many monsters that had evacuated this spot since they were afraid of the ones that were currently here.

That was just how it was when these relic users were gathered together like this.

After all, relic users possessed divine energy which was a higher form of energy in the first place. This dense energy was powerful enough that it caused an instinctive fear inside of the monsters.

Their survival instincts were what caused them to run, which was also why this area was secure.

But even so, that didn’t mean that they should be acting as if they were on some kind of school trip.

The way that everyone set up their tents and prepared the camp really made it seem like they were just here for fun.

Once the camp was set up, that was when everyone gathered for their first training session.

Without even saying a word, Old Man Lancelot started leading them deeper into the forest. It seemed like there was already a place that he wanted to visit with how certain his steps were.

When they arrived at their destination, they couldn’t help looking at Old Man Lancelot with strange looks.

After all, none of us had expected Old Man Lancelot to prepare this much already.

This was a place that had a cave and inside of the cave were a bunch of monsters that Old Man Lancelot seemed to have trapped. It was clear that these monsters were to be used as sparring partners for the relic users.

None of the monsters were particularly strong, but there were quite a few of them.

It wasn’t something that could have been prepared that easily.

"When did you even have the time to prepare all of this?" I couldn’t help leaning in and asking him this.

With a faint smile, he said in a soft voice, "I came at night to prepare all of this."

I couldn’t stop the wry smile from creeping onto my face as I shook my head.

It seemed like he really spared no expense when it came to teaching these students of his.

After all, even if the forest wasn’t that far away from the school, it was still a distance away. For Old Man Lancelot to run back and forth in the middle of the night, there was no doubt that he pushed himself with the power of his relic.

Or else people definitely would have noticed him disappearing.

At the same time, there was no doubt that he was cutting into his own sleep schedule to prepare a place like this. One look was enough to tell that a place like this certainly wasn’t easy to prepare.

He must have put in quite the effort behind the scene.

But since this was something that he did willingly, it wasn’t as if there was anyone that could argue with him.

Though from the expressions on the faces of some of the students, it didn’t seem like they were convinced with this kind of training. It looked like they thought that this kind of training really didn’t suit them.

It wasn’t as if it was hard to understand why they would be thinking this.

These people were relic users and their main goal was to fight against the forces of Destruction. Which meant that they should be training on how to use the divine energy that came from their relics, as well as how to use that to repel the forces of Destruction.

However, it wasn’t as if Old Man Lancelot couldn’t see what they were thinking.

So he called for Alidus to come forward before saying, "Give them a demonstration."

Alidus didn’t hesitate at all as he moved over to the arena prepared and waited for Old Man Lancelot to bring his opponent forward.

When the goblin came out, Alidus quickly charged at it.

The goblin also knew that it had no other choice when it was surrounded like this, so it did what it could to defeat Alidus.

It was just that Alidus danced around the goblin without any problems before bringing it down with a single swing.

When he was done, Old Man Lancelot looked at the students and said, "Now it’s your turn. You know what to do."

There was some disdain that appeared on their faces when they heard this, but that soon disappeared when they faced goblins of their own.
