During the tournament, two powerful fighters, Alidus and Old Man Lancelot, initially tested each other's strength. Their true battle began when they stopped holding back, unleashing devastating attacks with their relics. The immense power from their clash overwhelmed most spectators, though some were inspired to pursue greater strength. The narrator, maintaining the protective barrier, noted the fighters' increased power, believing they could now face powerful enemies.

"You’re still swinging late, aren’t you?"

Everyone was surprised when Old Man Lancelot suddenly started talking.

The only one that actually ignored him was Alidus who continued using his club to swing at him.

Though if one looked closely, they could see that the way that he swung the club was sharper compared to before. It seemed like he had taken Old Man Lancelot advice and started swinging earlier.

Among those that could see this difference, there were those that also knew about the relationship between Old Man Lancelot and Alidus.

During this period of time, the two of them hadn’t just sparred with each other and trained together.

It wasn’t just for Alidus alone, for all of the earliest relic users, the one that had taught them how to use their relics properly was Old Man Lancelot.

He had been the most outstanding one among them and the one that had trailblazed the path that all relic users should take. But he wasn’t someone that hoarded this knowledge and shared it with everyone that trained with him, which made him their teacher in a sense.

But that was just his personality in the first place, or else he wouldn’t have had the idea to create a school.

One was teaching and one was learning, the way that this fight progressed really made for a strange scene. But it wasn’t as if anyone cared about that since it was still quite the visually appealing fight that was playing out in front of them.

Even if it seemed like a lesson, the scope of these two were on a completely different scale.

So it didn’t matter that Old Man Lancelot was teaching Alidus while they fought.

In fact, it actually made for a better fight.

With each improvement that Alidus made, his attacks became much sharper and was actually pushing back Old Man Lancelot.

It wasn’t that just improving put him at the same level as Old Man Lancelot, it actually pushed him above him.

So in the end, Old Man Lancelot was actually training someone on how to beat him.

Most in the audience just had no idea why Old Man Lancelot would do something like this.

However, there were people from all walks of life in the audience and there were those that had been teachers before. From the way that Old Man Lancelot acted, they could see something familiar from him.

Which was why they knew just how he felt as he faced Alidus and why he continued giving instructions to Alidus even if it meant it would lead to his defeat.

It was the feeling of wanting to see their student achieving something great.

Though in the end, it wasn’t as if Old Man Lancelot was willing to accept defeat that easily.

Even though it seemed like he was going to be overpowered at this rate, it suddenly changed all of a sudden as lightning gathered around him.

As the lightning gathered around him, he also started to move faster and his swings became stronger.

"It seems like he’s figured out quite the interesting way of using his relic." Then with a sigh, I added, "But using his relic like this will only hurt him in the long run. This isn’t something that one would use unless they’re confident in their ability to take the pain."

What Old Man Lancelot was doing with this lightning was directly injecting it into his body to boost his physical capabilities.

There was no doubt that this was something that he had learned about from Max since this was something that most people in this world didn’t know about.

In the first place, most movements that humans made came from the electrical signals that passed through their bodies. The speed at which the electrical signals passed through their nerves determined just how fast their reactions would be.

With the lightning boosting that capacity, Old Man Lancelot was able to react in a fraction of the time that normal people would have taken. It allowed him to dodge things in a way that almost seemed impossible, even by relic user standards.

But pushing his body like this would result in him harming himself since it wasn’t as if the parts of his body were made for something like this.

The human body operated within the limits of what it was capable of and this was the equivalent of overclocking it. It would only be a matter of time before it broke down because it couldn’t handle the pressure from this.

However, it didn’t seem like Old Man Lancelot cared about his body at all with the way that he summoned more lightning around him.

He wasn’t just summoning that lightning to boost his own physical capabilities, he was even using this lightning to imbue his every attack with the lightning itself. Though to do this, it meant that he had to channel the lightning through himself in the first place.

Doing so added even more burden onto himself even though he was already burdening himself with the lightning overclocking.

Once he started using all of these abilities, the tide turned once more.

It was Alidus that was being completely suppressed by Old Man Lancelot this time.

However, it wasn’t as if Alidus was completely out of options.

When he activated the power of his relic at full force, he was at least able to dodge out of the way of the attacks at the last second. But just being grazed by the attacks still left a mark on him.

The lightning that was being released from Old Man Lancelot’s attacks were still hurting him.

The only thing that Alidus could do was push through the pain like Old Man Lancelot was doing.

In the end, it seemed like they were planning on settling with one final blow because both sides had been worn down by the skirmishing that had happened.

Even if they wanted to keep going, it wasn’t possible since they had suffered too much damage during this time.
