The protagonist successfully extracted all the immortal energy from a stone shard, observing a peculiar instinctual fear between the immortal and divine energies. Max's equipment failed to detect anything new, frustrating him. The protagonist then deduced that divine energy's higher level stems from the gathered faith of countless followers, unlike immortal energy which is the power of a single cultivator. This realization sparked worries about higher realms and their potential connection to the upper realm, and the protagonist reflected on the solitary nature of his discoveries.

"It seems like a good day for this."

I just gave a simple nod to what the sect master beside me said as I looked out over the forest that was in front of us.

Hidden in this forest were forces from both the cultivation world and the fantasy world.

However, it wasn’t as if this was a real battle between the two sides.

As the relationship between the two sides deepened and there was more communication between them, it was only natural that they would be even more curious about each other.

In particular, they were curious about each other’s strength.

For someone like me who wasn’t obsessed with fighting like them, it didn’t seem that important. After all, the most important thing to me right now was figuring out what to do if the forces of Destruction were to make another move.

But with the current peace that was there and the petitions that came from both sides, this really wasn’t something that I could reject.

At the same time, it would have been a lie to say that I wasn’t a bit interested in seeing which side would come out on top. After all, this was a conversation that had been had many times in my past life.

Cultivation techniques or magic, these were the two mainstream styles when it came to novels and games. So it was no wonder there were so many people that wondered which one was stronger.

Of course, there had to be a limit to how strong the ones that were participating could be.

Once one reached a certain point, they would be considered a powerful weapon that could change the entire landscape of the battle. So it wouldn’t have been fair to let them join the battle.

Which was why the ones that were participating in the battle for both sides had been carefully chosen.

From this vantage point, we would be able to see everything that was happening as well as soon as it happened.

Though if I really wanted, it would have been easy for me to figure out where everyone was with a simple divine energy sweep. They wouldn’t even be able to notice since I would make it too weak for anyone to notice.

Yet that wasn’t fun, so I didn’t actually do it.

As we were waiting, I had to listen to the sect masters brag about the techniques of the disciples that had been sent for this match. But it wasn’t just the sect masters of the cultivation world that were bragging.

On our side, there were the hot blooded generals that were bragging about their soldiers.

The magicians were able to hold back since their minds were more stable, but the looks in their eyes were more than enough to show the pride that they had in their people as well.

If they didn’t hold themselves back, they would have done the same as the generals.

At this point, it was a matter of pride as well.

However, it didn’t seem like there would be that many surprises when it came to the fight between the two sides. Even though their techniques were different, it didn’t seem like there was much of a difference when it came to strength.

That was what we had aimed for when we chose those that would participate, but the pride of these people had them believe that they would be superior.

The other effect that this battle had was that people were starting to recognize the techniques of the other side.

It wasn’t as if there was no exchange in this aspect between the two different sides, it was just that the fights between the two sides had only been minor sparring sessions. There had never been a chance to go all out like they were currently doing.

Once they started fighting all out like this, they could see that their pride meant nothing.

Of course, it wasn’t as if this was the only thing that they saw.

As they watched the different battles happening in front of them, they could appreciate the specialties of the techniques that were being shown.

"That technique of your Mount Hua Sword Sect, it really is quite sharp. I think that if we incorporate it into our Lulia Kingdom’s royal swordsmanship, it would certainly bring it up to another level."

"The foundation of your Lulia Kingdom’s sword style really is deep. It helps solve some of the unstable parts of our Mount Hua Sword Sect’s sword art."

"That magic that they’re using, the way that they gather their power really is different from how we do it with our dharmic arts."

"Even if it’s different, it seems like we both have the same results. It’s just that both of us seem to have some kind of inefficiency."

"Then if we were to combine the inefficient parts of the two techniques..."

Without me guiding them, they were already coming together to share information with each other. Before this, the only contact that they had was superficial ones where they were still getting used to each other.

But now that they had been forced to see each other’s techniques and recognize each other, it broke down the wall that had been between them.

Though the things that they exchanged weren’t necessarily useful to the war with the forces of Destruction, it was certainly better than nothing. At the very least, we would be able to bring the two sides together so they would be able to work better in the end.

Only it wasn’t as if I was going to let things end just like this.

Other than breaking down that wall, there was something else that I wanted to show them.

When the battle was over, they all came in front of me with smiles on their faces.

It was clear that the relationship between the two sides was much better now that they had recognized each other.

Since that was the case, it was time to use this cooperation for something else.
