It was almost like watching a swarm of locusts with the way that the disciples of the various sects collected the treasures.

Though they didn’t show it openly, there really was no hiding the greed that was in their eyes. It was clear that they wanted every single thing that was in this place and they were planning on taking everything that wasn’t bolted down.

As they were doing this, the sect masters and elders were giving them even more advice on what they should be taking.

While all of this was happening, there was a sudden explosion that came from behind us.

Turning around, it seemed like there was someone that was fighting in the distance.

Only it didn’t seem like it was just a simple fight between those that were competing over treasures.

From the fluctuations that came from the fight, it seemed like this was some kind of fight to the death. But that shouldn’t be since the rules only allowed for fair competition between the disciples.

Even if there was a strong grievance, it wasn’t as if they would break the rules set by their sects just to resolve these grievances. After all, the consequences would be too much for these disciples to withstand.

So there was no way that it would have been the disciples of the various sects that were causing this commotion.

If it wasn’t them, then it had to be...

As soon as they realized this, the various sects didn’t waste any time as they charged in the direction of the commotion. It was as if they didn’t care at all about the treasures that they were leaving behind.

But that wasn’t the reason they were so decisive in taking action against the intruders.

Coming to the scene of the fight, I could see why they were called the demonic sects. Though I already knew why they were called that because of the time that I had spent playing the game.

The game already fully demonstrated why they were called the demonic sects.

It was just that seeing these techniques for myself was a completely different feeling.

Watching them use these techniques that were considered demonic, there was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling resistant to the thought of bringing them under our fold.

After all, the techniques that they used really couldn’t be considered human at all.

Those techniques were really quite demonic as they sacrificed people to cultivate.

But thinking about the greater good, there was still a part of me that wanted to bring them into our fold to fight the forces of Destruction.

With the way that the demonic cultivators used the corruption energy, it seemed like they had practiced this for a long time now. They were fully aware of how to place the corruption energy so that it was to their advantage.

With a sigh, I stepped forward.

Since the demonic cultivators were using corruption energy, it wasn’t as if I could leave them be.

I had to at least figure out who it was that gave them this idea in the first place.
